It’s strange the depth of messages that a simple action can convey. You, in that red jacket and black skinny jeans, hat tucked behind your back and hand on chest. You, with sweat streaks still dripping down your face from all the performances and your legs and back trembling from the exhaustion steeped deep in your bones. And still you bowed. How tired you must be, the long days and the longer nights of practices and recordings and rumors and words sealed shut behind respectful lips. And still you bent your head. To an audience who probably won’t - and never will - understand and appreciate the depth of your pain. And when you straighten your back again, lips pressed and eyes lined with fatigue, is the water running down your temples sweat or are there tears mixed in too?
