With Or Without You
Description
A story about living, losing, and loving. A story of fate and choices. Choosing between the one who loves you and the one you love shouldn't be so complicated right? Will you take the risky chance or the smoother road?
Foreword
“Oh God, no!” Someone started wailing as soon as soon as the grim-faced doctor came out of the Operating Room. His defeated stance and morose expression delivered his message more clearly than the words that followed. Something was seriously wrong with Kwon Ji-Yong.
“Aaahhh!” Dara wails as she bolts upright from her sleep. The memory of that night still haunted her, still played in her mind like it happened yesterday and not five months ago.
She glances at her bedside clock. ‘2 o’clock in the friggin’ morning! Just great!’ she sighs. She was fighting a losing battle with insomnia for five months already, and her body, acting like it was on automatic, got off the bed, walked around until she made it to the fridge for cold water, then returned to her room, and booted on her current best friend: her laptop.
As she waits for the screen to come alive, she looks listlessly at the monitor, jumbled thoughts swirling around her head: Ji-Yong at 6, boyish and cute, laughing at her, climbing a tree and egging her to do the same; Ji-Yong at 16, tall and handsome, laughing at her lack of height, playing basketball with Young-Bae, laughing with her, holding her hand, and smiling gently at her.
‘Stop it! You’re only hurting yourself, dammit!’ She shakes her head, pulling her thoughts away from happy, yet desperately sad, memories.
Sighing, she takes out her CD case and finds a certain one. She pops the CD into the drive.
A CD, but not just any CD, it was a copy, burned for her by Ji-Yong.
A few moments later, the opening notes of “Close to You” by the Carpenters fill her darkened room.
“Oppa…why? Why do you have to leave me here?” she softly asks no one as she stared at the Real Player’s visualization.
“Why do I miss you so much, that it hurts?” finally giving up, she puts her head into her arms, her body racked with sobs as her mind slips back, unwillingly but gratefully, to the care-free and happy days when Ji-Yong was well and very, very much alive and healthy…

This is the opposite to Cross Roads. This is sooo "Alternative Universe" that it follows their stories from childhood, to highschool, to adulthood!
I hope you like the story of Dara, oppa, and hyung. ^^
Kudos you guys! And again, comments would be love! <3
