Irene POV

I used to be a cheerful person. I used to be very friendly and loves to make friends. But the old me was long gone since 5 years ago. 

It was after my first love broke my heart into pieces for cheating on me with my own friend. I build up a hard wall around my heart after what had happened and its hard for me to trust people again. 

I've became very quiet and cold. I dont entertain anyone and prefer to be alone. But when Seulgi and Krystal enter my life, I gain myself new friends and somehow they managed to earn my trust but they are the only friends that I have.

Also, My parents got worried about me. They said that I need to move on in order to forget and be happy. So they decided that I need to meet their friends' daughter but then.. they made a last conclusion that they want me to get engage with her.

And yes, thats how i got into this arranged marriage and already got engaged to Wendy, My parents' friends' daughter. 

Wendy's parents are like the best doctors in Seoul Hospital and were once saved my mother's life when she's in a critical condition after the car accident, thats how they start become friends as dad want to repay Wendy's parents for saving mom.

Now back to my engagement, the engagement went on with just a simple event and only close family and friends were invited. I have made a request that I want to stay low and does not want to make it huge since I havent known Wendy fully yet at that time. So not much people know about me being engaged to Wendy.

It was only 7 months of knowing Wendy before we got engaged, We rarely go out together but mostly we went with our friends as our company. 

Wendy is working at her own Cafe. I've learned that she loves to bake as well which I took interest in cause I love to eat anything she bake. 

Now, It is already 2 years that I've known Wendy. A year and 5 months since I've became her fiancee. 

My reason for not going against this arrange marriage? Simply because I just listen to my parents, I am sure that what they want for me would be the best for me. So I accepted. 

But that wasnt the only reason though. Wendy...

"I think I will wake up at noon tomorrow"

I glanced at Wendy who's driving beside me. She is sending me back home from the club. 

well, Wendy have been so kind to me despite of my ignorant attitude and coldness. When I called her, She will come. When Im hungry, She'll feed me good food. 

Wendy have been nothing but a good and caring fiancee. but her only annoying personality is that she is very playful who love to make me mad and pissed off. She even flirt with just anyone even in front of me. 

But, I've been thinking of one thing since a year ago.. If i have a feeling or not for her, if I love her or not. Seulgi and Krystal have been asking that too. They asked why did i stay with Wendy. 

Im confused, Its complicated. I dont know how i feel about this engagement currently. I forgot how it feels like to be in love. I forgot how to love. So i dont really know anymore. 

Maybe.. just maybe.. I just have to go with the flow? I'll just take whats meant for me and accept everything. But then.. Im curious about one thing, what is Wendy's reason to continue this arranged marriage?

"but just call me if you want to go out tomorrow since its Sunday", Wendy said, breaking off my thought

"hmm", I just hummed as my answer

As we have arrived at my mansion, Wendy got out first to open the door for me like she usually did

"Thanks", I thanked her

"was i too much?", she asked and i just raised my eyebrows

"you know, about earlier.. the usual", she said

right. this is another side of Wendy which amused me. even if she flirted openly, she will still feel guilty by the end of the day and asked if im ok or mad. then she will apologise too

"im used to it already Wendy. whats new", I replied

Wendy pouted and I tilted my head a bit

"why?", I asked her

"nothing. ah, so you arent mad right?"

"no Wendy. I understand ok? besides, we got engaged without any feelings involved. so no worries", I told her

Wendy POV

Sigh. Irene.. Irene..

"you can flirt for as long as you want. Since im fine with it. just make sure to not get caught by our parents", She told me

"but again, dont just flirt with anyone. gosh, do you have taste or not? if you just gonna hit on an ugly stupid arrogant girl, you better stop. im waaay better than those type of girls", She chuckled

I smiled at her. Irene rarely showing her smile or laugh in front of me. So, when she does.. I captured the moment in my mind

"if you want, Krystal have many beautiful model friends. lol", She said

"but i only want you", I mumbled lowly

"what is it again?", She asked cause she cant hear me

"nothing!", I quickly said and grinned

"you should go in now", I told her and she nodded

"hit me up once you arrive at home", she said

"aye aye ma'am", I saluted and she rolled her eyes at me

"dont drive too fast. good night", she told me then hugged me briefly

she waved a goodbye so i did the same. I watched her till she disappeared into her home. 

After she got inside, I released a breathe that I've been holding since she hugged me earlier

"I might get a heart attack if she kiss me one day", I chuckled to myself
