The files were stacked in ten perfect columns along the seats of the squeaky clean meeting table. The setting of the meeting was so glaringly white one would have thought heaven shone its light on the place.

That is of course not entirely wrong, for this really was heaven.

The meeting started promptly when ten people, all dressed from head to toe in white, shuffled in to the meeting room and took their respective seats. The setting would have been perfect - a spotless room filled with ten gorgeous glowing persons, all taking a folder off the immaculately placed stacks before them. Yet as with all meetings, the only fresh moment would be the moment you walk in and sit down, beyond that, everything can only go downhill. More specifically, the magical moment of a meeting room breaks with the first utterance.

"Welcome to the monthly meeting cupids!" The head of the department, Jang Dongwoo, declared in a voice that was too enthusiastic for anyone to stomach. The pristine looks of the nine other cupids in the room was starkly contrasted with the dark circle forming under their eyes and bored faces among the group. One of them covered his mouth as he yawned and flipped through the thick report in front of him. Another stared blankly at Dongwoo, her mind obviously anywhere else but the actual meeting itself.

"Well I know everyone is tired, but we've got more work ahead. Here's a friendly reminder: iiiiiiiiiiit's February!"

There was a unanimous round of groan and whines around the table as Dongwoo continued to cheer for his own announcement.  Yes, it's February, the busiest time of the month. All because of a stupid celebration that humans decided to come up with to commemorate something that wasn't even their achievement in the first place - Valentine's Day. If cupids were the ones responsible for all the couples, why is it that humans are making a day to celebrate this 'Valentine'. Who's Valentine? Heck, we never had a guy in the cupid department called Valentine.

"Why is it that every year we have to go through this terrible suffering and OT just because human's decided to create this silly festival? Like dude, I want my holiday. I already prepare for special love episodes for you over birthday, Christmas, New Year's, football seasons and even when you're ill! Urgh." A veteran cupid, Lee Sungjong, sounded. Everyone nodded and murmured in agreement. Beside Sungjong, Myungsoo was falling asleep reading the 123rd page of the report.

"Well, if it's any consolation, there's an economic crisis this year so there are more separations than love episodes. I don't encourage negative thinking in the department but if this cheers you up..."

Upon hearing the word "separation", all the cupids' faces lit up at once. Separations were always easier to handle compared to love episodes, because you just have to choose the default ways of separation and press a simple 'delete couple' on the system. It's so much easier than love episodes, when a cupid would have to come up with creative ideas of confessions, proposals, date ideas for humans to enrich their love lives. That's why people tend to separate on the same few reasons, but love episodes were a lot more varied. For three months in a row, Myungsoo had won the best love episode idea for coming up with "letting a really strong female carry her super rich CEO boyfriend away from danger".

"Special report sir. We had some cases of mismatches last month, mostly because the devils from hell had meddled with some of our cases, but we've sent agents down to fix them. Not all cases were repaired though. On page 34, you will see that this commoner girl Jan Di is still with her rich insensitive friend Gu Junpyo, instead of the her other friend Ji-hoo whom we had created a dozen of love episodes for. The dispatched cupid tried his best, but the two are now married." A round of low whispering ensued over the case that cupid Bora just presented, with some cupids shaking their heads at the unfortunate news of the mismatched couple. The love system that they had was usually quite good at fixing love between two individuals, but occasionally the devils' workings could override them and they would have no way to fix it, except to go to Earth personally to make amends. There was simply no way to key in the details again, and as such there was no room for mistake for a cupid. It was one of the most stressful jobs in heaven (aside from the Angel of D
