Jiyong's POV

I'm in love with my best friend, Lee Seunghyun.

I've watched him grow and he has grown into a fine young man. He is beautiful. His fluffy, blonde hair is very attractive. The way his eyes sparkle when he looks at you. And his smile... His smile could kill somebody.

His laugh is music to my ears. When he's happy, I'm always happy.

Because that's love.

I think I have the courage to confess my feelings to him. I really do love him. I want to be his lover. I want to be there for him for the rest of his life.

I gulped. my heart started pounding when I saw Seungri was walking down the street. I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey, Seungri, can I talk with you for a moment?" I said shyly. He looked at me and smiled. I almost wheezed.

"Sure, what's up?"

"No... Like... privately." 

I took him by the arm and took him into an alleyway. My heart was pounding.

"S-Seungri... I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but I never had the courage..."

He looked at me with a concerned face but nodded.

"I...I think I'm in love with you..." I said, fidgeting with my sleeve. Seungri just stared at me. I bit my lip nervously.

And then... He started laughing.

"That's a funny joke!" He said, laughing hysterically. I frowned. When he saw my face, he stopped laughing.

"Wait... you were serious?" He asked.

"Yes..." I said shyly. He had a disgusted look on his face.

"Jiyong... Sorry, but I don't like you that way." He said.

My heart shattered. I felt like crying, but instead, I just bit my lip and tried to hold back my tears. "Okay...Sorry..."

He just had an angry look on his face. Then, he left.

I won't give up on you, Seungri.

I give up.

I love you.

I hate you.

Why does he have to like me?

I love Jiyong.

I don't like him that way, and I never will. He's just wasting my time.

I want to love Jiyong.

I only want to be his friend.

I got in my car and turned the key. I put it in drive and started driving away.

Suddenly, my phone rang. It was Seungri.

Answer it.

Why should I talk to him?

I decided to just answer it.

"Yes?" I say.

"Sorry about today, Jiyong. I don't like you that way, but I hope we're still friends." Seungri says in an apologetic tone.

I wanna be your lover.

"Yeah. I still wanna be your friend." I say sincerely.

"That's good! Okay, I'll see you around?" Seungri said.

I want to see you now.

"Yeah, I'll see ya' around." 

"Okay! Bye, Jiyong!"

"Bye, Seungri." I hung up the phone.

"Why can't you love me instead?"
