Leandra didn’t finish her shift at the Empyrean. Emotionally, there was no way that she could. She had been dismissed from her post, by the man she had been falling for; what was the point in staying, and helping him build his empire?   As hurt and angry as Leandra was, she couldn’t really afford to dwell on those feelings. She hadn’t been working at the Empyrean long enough to even start a savings account; without that income she was strapped for money, low on options, and unable to ignore the growing possibility of having to return to Reno…again. She fussed with her hair anxiously as she scrolled through entry level listings for any position she could think of on Indeed, her heart sinking as she looked at the wages offered.
