GOODBYE CNBLUE, HELLO FT ISLAND

| PART 01 |

"Yah, Hyung.. Why does he want to see us here at 9 in the morning on a ing Saturday? Couldn't he have chosen a later time?" FT Island's main vocalist Lee Hongki asked, frowning as he and his band heads towards one of the company's conference room.

"Stop ing questioning me already. You'll soon find out what he wants with you guys.. He's already waiting in the main conference room," their manager hastily replied, earning loud groans and complains from the 4 boys behind him. 

Once the group of boys arrived at the said conference room, they strutted into the room lazily and were greeted with the sight of their director seated at the head of the meeting table with a laptop set up in front of him. Splitting themselves into 2 groups, FT Island took their places beside the older man as they sat across each other.

"So, FT Island.. Do you know why I have called you here?" Director Han Seungho asked as he looked at each of their faces.

"Nope.." Hongki replied curtly as he then yawned loudly, causing s to smirk at his bold gesture while the older man frown.

It was rude, and he would have smacked the younger boy's face had it been someone else. However, since this is Lee Hongki and he had known the boy for years, Director Han Seungho was unaffected as he had gotten used to the boy's behaviour. Clearing his throat as he put on his no-nonsense director look, Director Han Seungho finally got the boys' full attention as they stopped smiling and looked at him seriously. 

"Now that I've gotten your full attention, let me tell you why I have gathered you guys here," Director Han Seungho said as he then opened the presentation slides he had prepared for this meeting, and continued to say, "I'm here to tell you of FT Island's future plan and the introduction of your new member." 

"NEW MEMBER?!" the 4 boys shouted in unison, eyes wide open in shock as they stared at their director and then exchanged glances with each other. 

"Yes, a new member. I know you guys aren't really interested in looking for Wonbin's replacement as you guys have high expectations of the role he holds but trust me, you guys will like this guy," Director Han Seungho was saying but his words was intervened by the band's leader. 

"No! Wait, wait.. You got us a new member? But.. weren't you going to disband us?" Choi Jonghoon asked, confused as he was pretty sure his FT Island was going to be disbanded.

"Disband?! No! Where the hell did you get that bloody idea anyway?!" Director Han Seungho exclaimed, his loud voice boomed across the walls of the enclosed room, causing the 4 boys to shrink back in their chairs slightly. 

"W-Well.. You did formed CNBLUE not long after Wonbin-hyung chose to exit though," FT Island's bassist Lee Jaejin muttered, and s nodded their heads in support of his statement.

Upon hearing what was said, Director Han Seungho sighed and said, "CNBLUE's formation had always been the company's plan even before Wonbin's departure. It was going to happen no matter what happen.."

"Oooh..." the 4 boys chorused out, chuckling embarrassingly now that they realised they had been wrong about their company. 

"Yes.. As I was saying, I have chosen a replacement for you guys," Director Han Seungho said as he clicked a button on the controller he had been holding and a picture flashed across the small projection screen, and he continued, "His name is Song Seunghyun and he had been training with FNC for about 3 years."

Looking at the familiar face on the screen, FT Island's drummer and maknae said, "Oh, he's my school mate in school!" 

"Ahh yes.. He's in SOPA (School of Performance Arts) with Minhwan and Jaejin. He's also born in 1992, which makes him the maknae along side Minhwan," Director Han Seungho added, and the 3 older FT Island members nodded their heads blankly. 

Unlike Minhwan, the 3 older guys were too lost in their thoughts as they were too occupied with looking at the beautiful picture on the screen. Eyes glued to the screen, these guys felt a certain uncomfortable twist and flutter at the pit of their stomach. It's the same kind of twist and flutter when one set eyes on a beautiful girl, except that this is a boy. A damn beautiful boy with big eyes, tall nose and y cat-like lips which unconsciously caused them to their lips. 

Hearing no response from any of the members, Director Han Seungho turned to look at them and said, "I know this is probably hard for you guys to accept but it's really for your own good. Besides, he's the best guitarist in this company, besides Jonghoon that is, and he can rap and sing too. And most importantly, he's really good-looking and pretty too..."

"Damn right he is.." Jonghoon unconsciously blurted out, cutting his director's words and surprising everyone in the room. When he finally realised that he had just said that out loud, Jonghoon cleared his throat nervously and said, "N-No.. I mean, yeah, I admit that he's good looking but.. urh.. how good is his guitar skills?" 

Although he's still surprised that his friend and leader actually complimented someone else other than himself on their good looks - and take note that Jonghoon has never complimented any of the members before throughout the years they had been in the band together, Hongki turned to look at their director and said, "Yeah.. How good is his skills? We won't just accept him if he's good looking ya know.."

Nodding his head as he looked for Seunghyun's audition clip, Director Han Seungho said, "Oh, he's good alright. He's currently training with CNBLUE and was part of the initial CNBLUE members but I decided to transfer him over to you guys. Here is his audtion clip."

FT Island watched as a much younger Seunghyun appears on the screen with his acoustic guitar. A familiar tune of the song 'I to You, You to Me' from the very famous movie 'The Classic' starts playing, and he was soon singing to it. His strumming was perfect and his voice was sweet and beautiful, just as how he is. The FT Island members couldn't help but to be captivated by him, and it was starting to freak them out a little. 'How could a guy be this beautiful? It's ridiculous!' Jonghoon thought to himself, eyes glued on the boy in the screen. 'His voice is really beautiful. It's really calming and sweet,' Jaejin said in his mind, unconsciously smiling when the boy in the video smiled and chuckled nervously after he finished his song. 

Hearing no comments from the members, again, Director Han Seungho sighed and asked, "So, what do you guys think?"

Clearing his throat as he realised that he had gotten his mouth dry from just watching his new band member, Hongki said, "Well.. Fine, I admit that he's good enough to join FT Island. But does he know that he'll be switching band? Is he okay with it? I don't want him to be forced or anything. I want him to be able to commit heart and soul as a FT Island member."

"No, I have yet to inform him. I wanted to tell you guys first and then I will inform him of the changes once you guys are okay with it. He should not have a problem," Director Han Seungho replied. 

"Well, when are you going to tell him? Also, he will.. I mean will he be moving in with us?" Jonghoon asked, and s turned to look at him as he sounded weirdly excited and a tad bit impatient. But then again, they could be wrong.

"I planned to tell him immediately after telling you guys and yes, he will be moving in with all of you. I want him to move in by today, or latest by tomorrow so that you guys can use these 2 days over the weekend to know him better and help him adapt to the band," Director Han Seungho replied. 

Nodding their heads as they acknowledged their director's words, FT Island then exchanged looks with each other. Without any words spoken, the 4 boys seemed to have a telepathic connection as they nodded in agreement to a certain unspoken decision.

Looking at their director seriously, Jonghoon said, "Since this is for our own good, we have all made the decision that he can move in with us today."

"What? So.. this means that you guys agree in accepting Song Seunghyun as part of FT Island?" Director Han Seungho asked, truly surprised that the 4 boys accepted his decision without any problems. Well, they don't usually accept any of his suggestions.

"Yes yes, we agree to have Song Seunghyun as our member," Hongki replied, rolling his eyes at their director's dramatic reaction upon hearing their decision, and asked, "With that said, where is he anyway?" 

"Oh.. He's currently practicing with the CNBLUE members. Why? You guys want to meet him now?" Director Han Seungho asked. 

Exchanging look with each other, FT Island stood up from their seats and Hongki, with a nonchalant shrug, said, "Sure.. Why not?" 

"Oh? Okay then.. Let's go and meet Song Seunghyun.."

Without missing a beat, Song Seunghyun strummed his guitar as he sings with Jung Yonghwa. Their voices harmonized and matched perfectly with one another, causing everyone else in the room to watch in awe as they hummed and moved along to the song. 

"Wahhh.. How do they do this? They always sound so good together!" Lee Jonghyun said, smiling as he watched his 2 band members.

"I know right! Their chemistry is just so so good together!" Lee Jungshin commented, and Yonghwa smiled upon hearing the comment. 

Exchanging looks with their youngest member who flashed his adorable sweet smile at him, Yonghwa's heart did that little flip it always does whenever he's around the younger boy. The 2 boys ended their practice song on a great notch and everyone else applauded. As he set his acoustic guitar down, Seunghyun grinned cutely and Yonghwa couldn't help but to ruffle the younger boy's long hair. 

"Seunghyun-ah, you're getting so much better everyday," Jonghyun praised, smiling as he approached the younger guy. 

"Of course! Look who has been teaching him and practicing with him every day," Yonghwa said proudly, and everyone else laughed. 

"Yah hyung! Don't take all the credits! We practiced with him too okay!" Jungshin replied, and the older guy pretended not to hear as he settled himself next to Seunghyun on the sofa while everyone else laughed at his reaction. 

Laughing at his older band members antics, Seunghyun said, "I'm actually thankful to all of you because you guys never fail to help me and practice with me. I would never have improved this much if it hadn't been for your help and support. So, thank you..."

Hearing what Seunghyun had said, Yonghwa smiled as he took the younger boy's right hand in his and said, "Actually, all of this is your own hard work and efforts. But, if you really want to thank us, sure.. Sing us a song then."

"Huh? Sing a song? On my own?" Seunghyun asked, surprised and nervous at the sudden request. 

"Oh! That's a good idea hyung.." Kang Minhyuk said as he looked at Yonghwa and then turned to Seunghyun and said, "We've never really heard you sing all on your own before.. Try it.. You sounded really good earlier and I'm sure you'll sound really good now."

Seunghyun bit his lips nervously as he ponders on his band members' request. He had never really sing all on his own in front of them before. He's really worried that he'll disappoint them but looking at the assurance on their faces, and especially Yonghwa's as the older guy squeezed his hand tight, Seunghyun agreed. Picking his guitar up, Seunghyun shifted slightly while Yonghwa snuggled closer to him and the rest of the guys sat on the floor.

Clearing his throat slightly as he blushed a cute pink, Seunghyun said, "I.. I'll sing Jason Mraz's I'm yours. I really love this song and I.. I'm going to dedicate this song to you all because.. hmmm.. because I'm your maknae."

Seunghyun's words stirred his band members' heart, and especially Yonghwa's. Although the rest of them love and regard Seunghyun as their little brother, he is more than just a brother to Yonghwa. Ever since he first met the boy, he felt an indescribable feelings for the younger boy. He thought he cared for him and protected him as a little brother but as the feelings grew day by day, he knew it's more than just that. He loves Seunghyun, and he loves the boy that special kind of way. And even though he has never confessed to him or revealed it to anyone else, the rest of the band members - except Seunghyun - knew. It was, actually, pretty obvious. However, out of respect for the oldest guy, noone said anything. 

FT Island and Director Han Seungho arrived at the practice room just in time as Seunghyun was in the middle of singing his song. Not wanting to disrupt his concentration or stop him, the FT Island members stopped their director from entering as they watched him from outside. While Director Han Seungho and Minhwan was impressed by his voice and guitar skills, the other FT Island members were distracted by how ing beautiful and adorable he actually looks in real life. He actually looks so much better than he
