“What tripped me?” I mumbled and turning my head around finding for the source. I could not locate anything until moon came out from her hide and seek play with her friends, clouds. My mouth opened wide forming a big O.

Right hand covering my mouth, “Oh sh*t! Someone is trapped under the snow!” My body acted faster than my brain could process. I sprang to it and pulled the hand that was jetting out making me tripped just now. The whole body was almost submerged, chances of survival is extremely low but I just kept faith, kept pulling ignoring the burning frost bites on my bare unprotected hands.

Huffing and panting. After quite a while, I could not even feel my hands, but I was glad that I recovered the body. Judging from the back, should be a female. She was having long blonde hair, slightly shorter than me, should be around 1.61m.

A familiar feeling washed over me.

Wait!

Is she someone I know?

Slowly turning over the body, I was shocked to see someone I known, as least have acquaintance of.

“Irene?” I muttered with smoke huffing out. Shaking her body but no response. Her body was cold with no temperature!

Is she dead?

My right hand checked her breathing…

No breathing!

Wait moonbyul. Get hold of yourself, check her pulse.

She still has extremely weak pulses!

“Thanks goodness that she is still alive!” Tears brimmed on my eyes. Scooping my body from the snow floor, I lifted her up and stormed on.

Moonbyul, you need to be alive cos you have a life in your hands!

After closed to 1 hour of non stop walking, I was closed to deplete when the corner of my eyes caught a man-made structure.

A cottage!

I quickly lay Irene down near to the chimney and hurried like a bee to find items that I could start a fire. Grabbing some old branches that was at the corner of the cottage. Running around the house, searching here and there but I could not find any match stick or related stuff to start a fire!

Buzzing around Irene until a cold hard truth hit me.

Flopping next to her, I pulled her into my embrace.

Now I know how it feels like to hug a big piece of ice….

It is freaking cold!!!

I checked her pulse and it seemed getting weaker than before!

I looked at myself and her before an idea flashed into my frozen brain. Like a child receiving a present, I unwrapped her and myself till our unt*es and hugged her tightly, skin touching skin.

Man, it was even colder than just now where I still have my clothes as shield.

I made her resting on my chest and just shut my eyes bearing the thawing ice eating into my skin. I hid ourselves under my clothes.
