Nursing Battle
Boys Over Flower 2It was morning and it was quite early. So Hyun was still sleeping soundly on her bed while Hayi just woke up and was drinking her hot Chocó. Sung Kyoung and Suhyun were back in their own room, still on bed. Hayi went towards So Hyun and checked touched her forehead to check her temperature.
“She still has a fever, but it’s quite okay compared to last night.” Hayi thought.
After a while, Hayi heard a knock on the main door of their room and she went out to open it. When she opened the door, she saw Bobby and Sung Jae all sweaty in their running clothes and thick jackets above them. They might have been running because she could tell that they were catching their breaths from their morning exercise.
“Hey. Good morning!” Bobby greeted and blushed after seeing Hayi with her ‘just woke up’ face.
“How’s Sohyunie?” Sung Jae asked quickly.
“Oh! Good morning, you two. She still has a fever but she seems to be okay now.” Hayi answered. “Would you like to come in?” She invited and the two went inside.
As soon as they entered, the three of them went inside So Hyun and Hayi’s bedroom. Bobby sat on So Hyun’s bed and touched his cousin’s forehead while Sung Jae just stood near the bed where So Hyun was sleeping.
“Hmm. Hayi’s right. So Hyun still has a fever. She must stay here for today and rest.” Bobby exclaimed.
“Then I guess I’ll watch over her.” Sung Jae decided and the two turned to look at him. “What?” Sung Jae asked as soon as he received the knowing looks from the two.
“Yah, Yook Sung Jae! And why would you do that exactly?” So Hyun asked, her eyes fluttering open.
She woke up from the moment Bobby had touched her forehead and decided to ignore the contact but when she heard Sung Jae suggesting about watching over her, So Hyun suddenly opened her eyes and glared at the male.
“Sohyunie! You’re awake?” Sung Jae asked, feeling happy that So Hyun’s finally awake.
“How could I exactly sleep from your noises?” So Hyun accused. “Yah, Soo Hayi! Why did you let these two into our room?” So Hyun glared at Hayi’s direction and the latter just whimpered.
“Aishh. How could you say that So Hyun-ah? We’re just worried about you and you really shouldn’t blame Hayi for letting us in.” Bobby countered.
“Fine, but no one will watch over me. I’m perfectly fine on my own. Now, shoo! Off you go.” So Hyun declared.
“Wha.. What are you saying? You still have a fever. You’re clearly not fine.” Sung Jae reasoned.
“Hayi-ah..” So Hyun turned to look at her friend. “Could you please these two outside?” So Hyun asked.
“Umm.. Sure.” Hayi finally answered. “Let’s go, you two. So Hyun still need to rest.” Hayi stated and started to drag Bobby and Sung Jae outside.
And so, So Hyun was left all alone in her room while the others have gone to school or so she thought. As she was lying on her bed, she heard a knock from the door. She didn’t have a choice but to get the door herself. As she opened the door, she was shock seeing Sung Jae standing in front of her.
“Yook Sung Jae? What are you doing here? I thought you’ve gone to school already?” So Hyun exclaimed.
“How could I, knowing that you’re going to be all alone.” Sung Jae answered but couldn’t look into her eyes.
“Yah, do you want to do this again?” So Hyun started but got cut off when Sung Jae suddenly entered the room not bothering to ask So Hyun’s permission. “Yah, Yook Sung Jae! You!” So Hyun started to protest.
“Just get back to your room and rest, okay? I’ll handle the rest.” Sung Jae declared but So Hyun glared at him.
When So Hyun didn’t move from where she was standing, Sung Jae grabbed her arms and dragged her towards her bedroom. He made her sit on the bed while he came to his knees and stared at her, their faces just inches from each other. They were staring into each other’s silently for a long time. So Hyun realized that Sung Jae was starting to lean towards her so she suddenly smacked him on the head.
“Ow! Ahh, yah! Why did you do that? What will you do if I get dumb after hitting me?” Sung Jae complained.
“Tsk, you already are!” So Hyun shouted and coughed.
“Yah! Just lie down already!” Sung Jae scolded and pushed her on the bed, making her lie down.
“Aissh. Be thankful that I don’t have the energy to kick you out of here.” Si Hyun noted.
So Hyun came back to sleep while Sung Jae took out his phone and called someone.
“It’s me. Yes, I need you to buy things for me. Do you know how to cook soup? For a sick person that is. Can you buy the ingredients? Okay, thanks.” Sung Jae hanged up.
So Hyun was having a good sleep when she suddenly heard a ruckus outside the bedroom. She rose from her bed and made her way outside and she was surprise seeing Sung Jae cooking but making a mess out of it.
“What happened here? Has some kind of whirlwind just passed by here?” So Hyun commented.
“Oh, Sohyunie! You’re already awake? I was in the middle of cooking some soup for you but I didn’t know that it’s going to be hard.” Sung Jae answered while looking at some cook book.
So Hyun was about to say something but they heard a knock from the main door. So Hyun was about to get it but Sung Jae suddenly ran towards it and opened the door in her stead.
“Nam Joo Hyuk?” Sung Jae was surprise seeing Joo Hyuk by the door and was holding a basket full of fruits.
Hearing Joo Hyuk’s name, So Hyun came towards them and lit up after seeing that it was really Joo Hyuk.
“Yook Sung Jae? So you’re here. No wonder you were absent.” Joo Hyuk exclaimed.
“And what are you doing here?” Sung Jae asked, glaring at him.
“It was lunch break and I thought of visiting So Hyun. And I bought this on the way here.” Joo hyuk answered and gestured to the basket of fruits he was holding.
“Come on in.” So Hyun invited and made a way for Joo Hyuk to enter.
“Yah! Why would you invite him in? You really shouldn’t let other people in just like that.” Sung Jae protested.
“And why did I let you in again?” So Hyun countered. “Oh right, I didn’t even invited you
