It happened sometimes. Not every night but often enough for him to take notice of it and wonder.

That weird dream.

Walking in his house's hallway, he would suddenly stop in front of the bathroom, a sound coming from within.

He would approach the door, ear nearing the wood to listen better.

His hand would reach for the handle...

And then he would wake up.

He could never grasp what the sound was once awake.

Sometimes he had the after feel it had been some kind of thudding rythm.

Sometimes he could bet it had been some kind of music. 

The only thing he knew for sure was the wanting crawling under his skin in the blurred of his half-awake state.

The still fresh feeling his dream-self had felt:

the need to open the door and get to the source of the unknown sound.
