Jiyong’s Mansion

He was about to go to his luxurious bedroom, he stretched as he got up from his seat when taeyang came panting

“Sir”

“Didn’t I told you that I don’t want to see anyone?” said jiyong firmly

“Momo got shot”

Jiyong slammed his hand on the table and frowned “WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE GOT SHOT?”

“Sooman’s men went to kill jeongyeon and she got shot but his men won”

“Kill sooman” jiyong ordered without thinking and taeyang bowed to his words

“No one can hurt momo when I am alive” he frowned

Meanwhile

*Bang bang bang* Jeongyeon didn’t hesitate to kill the guy right in his chest, he shot him three times, he ran to momo who was unconscious. Chaeyoung ran to him and checked on her

“Hyung we have to go to the hospital!”

Jeongyeon was just staring at her and holding her hand “Hospital? Of course no! They will ask what happened and police will come” he said and they heard a car sound behind them

“SIR! I WILL TAKE YOU TO JIHYO!” baekhyun yelled

Jeongyeon carried momo bridal style and lied her on the backseat, he was pressing on her wound as she rested her head on his lap

“Hum” she grunted

“Momo! Are you okay? Hold on! You will be okay!” he said caressing her head but she went unconscious again

“Baekhyun hurry!” jeongyeon begged

They arrived at jihyo’s clinic, she opened the door while tying her hair up

“Sir!” she bowed to jeongyeon

“Please save her!” he said lying momo on a bed, jihyo ripped momo’s shirt, jeongyeon glared at chaeyoung and baekhyun and they left the room as he was conservative and didn't want them to see a glimpse of her body.

“You should leave too sir! The bullet is not that deep don’t worry” said jihyo, he nodded and left the room to give her more space so she cam make the surgery

“This is jihyo, she is a doctor, she always treat us, you can say illegally” baekhyun explained to the clueless chaeyoung

“Well she is so pretty to be just a doctor” said chaeyoung earning an eye roll from baekhyun

“! ! ! !”  jeongyeon yelled, hitting the wall with his fist making it bleed

“Sir” baekhyun said and looked at him

“Hyung, the bullet hit her shoulder, nothing is serious” chaeyoung added, making jeongyeon glare at him, he held the younger’s shirt collars and pinned him to the wall

“I was supposed to be injured, NOT HER!” he yelled.

“I know I know but it just happened like that!”

Jeongyeon left him and blew air from his mouth when jihyo came out, she removed her gloves and smiled at them “I told you nothing is serious, she will wake up after few hours”

He sighed in relief as chaeyoung patted his back

“we have to go sir, some of our men are injured” baekhyun said earning a nod from jeongyeon “bring them here if there are serious injuries”

“Yes sir!”

Eventually they left, leaving jeongyeon alone with momo, who was sleeping on her left side as a bandage was wrapped around her right shoulder, he was staring at her back, hair, and every inch of her. More than 4 hours passed and he was still in the same position, jihyo was checking on her from time to time, she was shocked by jeongyeon treatments and caring towards momo, he got up to the bathroom, he took off his jacket that was full of her blood, same as his white shirt, he washed his face with cold water and looked at himself in the mirror

“Is it really worth it?” he said as he left the bathroom, just to hear jihyo talking to someone

“Where is jeongyeon? Is he okay?”  he heard momo’s voice that made him smile, in all this mess, she cared about him.

“yes he is in the toilet” jihyo replied and jeongyeon came in, he sat on a chair beside her and held her hand, he stared up at her eyes his eyes are so different in moments like these, softer than jihyo knew eyes could be. She was staring at him in shock and decided to step back and leave them alone. The professional man is gone and instead it is the eyes of one who loves deeply.

“are you okay?” she said tightening her hand into his and he nodded

“You took the bullet instead of me” he soft-spoken “why?”

“Because I realized how much you mean to me, I realized how much I love you and can’t handle see you hurting” she said in a low voice, he smiled and got teary eyed, he leaned in and kissed her right injured shoulder, he buried his face in the crook of her neck as she caressed his hair with her left hand

“Saranghae” he whispered, and she kissed wherever he lips landed on.

Meanwhile it was almost 5 AM when chaeyoung came back home, he threw his keys on the table beside the front door and cracked his neck left and right just to see mina sleeping in the living room, he checked his phone and found it full of missed calls from her, not only her, but sana too who was asking where is he and why he is not replying her messages, he frowned and put the phone away as he walked to mina, he stared at her sleeping face and caressed her hair, she was a light sleeper, she slowly opened her eyes and hugged him tightly

“Are you okay?” she asked looking at his body and saw few blood stains on his suit

“Yes yes, the blood is for the injured men, I carried them and treated them don’t worry”

She caressed his cheeks and kissed his lips softly that soon went rough, he carried her bridal style coughing her off guard

“I need to take a shower” he said staring at her eyes

“and why you need me?” she asked while playing with his short hair

“I will tell you inside” he said slamming the bedroom’s door with his leg.

Few days passed…

Momo was sitting on her bed, resting as she couldn’t go out so much because of her shoulder, she was watching TV when jeongyeon came in, walking with heavy steps, loose necktie, pale skin and tired eyes.

“Jeongyeon are you okay?” she said getting up but he prevented her and instead he rested his head on her lap

“Jeongyeon are you okay? You were weird the last few days!” momo panicked he held her hand and let her pat his head

“Jeongyeon please answer me or say something I am scared!” she almost cried, he sat down and looked at her

“There will be war soon momo, I have to be strong” he replied

“War? Strong? What are you talking about?”

He caressed her cheek “you will know later”

She kissed his palm then looked at the TV with eyes wide open, jeongyeon did the same and turned the volume up

‘Breaking, the billionaire Lee Sooman, found dead in his bathtub, our condolences to his family members and friends. Police are still looking for the real killer as nothing is clear right now.’

“Not me I swear” jeongyeon said as he caught momo staring at him “Momo it’s not me! I don’t know why he died, I was busy in other things and busy with you” he stated

She kept looking at him while he stood up angrily

“No” He sat in front of her and held her hands “Momo from now on,  I need you the most, I need you to put all your faith into me, we are going to a war. I need you the most.”
