Someone wakes up to see the other person occupying the bed is gone. She lets out a sigh and just looks at her side. After a few minutes, she gets up and sees a note on the side table. She picks it up and smiles while reading it.

“Morning Baby, I know you’re going to wake up late as you were working late last night. As much as I want to stay I can’t as I need to go to work. See you when I come back. Love you 😊.”

She reads the note a few more times with a smile on her face. She wants to keep all these small precious moments in her heart forever as she doesn’t know what the future holds for them. Thinking about the future always brings her back to the past which makes her sad making her smile vanish. She shakes her head and picks up her phone and sends a message to the person who wrote the note

‘Morning but you do know it’s 10:40 already’ She reads the reply making her chuckle. Instead of replying she calls her

The other person picks up right away

‘You’re finally up’ Even before she can say anything the other person says making her chuckle

‘Well I’m taking up your specialty’ She says while smiling

‘Don’t take all my specialty, otherwise, others will call you ice queen instead of me’ Jessica says making her chuckle

‘Really now’ She says as she rolls her eyes with a smile even though Jessica can’t see her

‘How’s your day going so far baby?’ She asks with a smile but frowns when she hears Jessica sigh

‘Baby did something happened?’ She asks with worry visible in her voice

‘Well Baby, I mean’ Jessica starts but stops as she hears knock on her office door

‘I will talk to you later at home’ Jessica says and cuts the call even before she can say anything more making her sigh.

She knows there must be something wrong, but she will wait for Jessica to tell her. She doesn’t have work today, so she gets up to freshen up.

Someone else wakes up and sees she is covered with a blanket making her sigh. She knows her favorite person must have come to her room when she was asleep. She knows she shouldn’t be like this at least for her but she can’t help it. She holds the blanket close to her as a tear escapes her eye. She quickly wipes it away, she doesn’t… no won’t cry anymore that’s what she promises herself every time she gets weak. She looks at the picture on the side table and picks it up. She traces the picture with her hand with a sad smile

“Where are you? Please come back” She says as tears come to her eyes, but she stops herself from crying and puts the picture back on the table. She gets up and goes to wash up as she needs to go to work at noon. After washing up she goes to the kitchen to get something to eat.

In the room next to her another person wakes up and sees the blanket on her making her smile a little. She knows who covered her with a blanket as she knows this person since she was a kid. She doesn’t want to make this person worry but she can’t help it as she is tried of everything around her. She wants to help her, she wants to do something to help this person but whenever she tries she fails. She wants to be happy for this person, but she always remembers what happened, so she stops.
