want you back

sinrin one shots

Yerin didn't care much.

It's not like she ever dwelled on it enough to let it get to her because really, she had better things to be doing.

And anyway, Yerin's fingers fit inside of Eunha just as good as they did inside of Sinb.

Just because Sinb had ended it between them, didn't mean that Yerin had to stay and mope around and pray for her to come back.

Yerin was never a saint.

Maybe it's why Sinb left her in the first place; because Yerin never had any limits when it came to their relationship and sometimes she could take it too far. Yerin couldn't tell her how she felt when they were alone, couldn't offer all of herself to Sinb the way she did to her, couldn't give Sinb the perfect relationship she deserved and couldn't be the person she needed.

Sometimes she wondered why it took Sinb as long as it did for her to call it quits.

Not when she had her other roommate pinned against her room door though, especially not at times like this.

"You think we should stop? I don't want Sinb to wake up or anything,"

Yerin rolled her eyes and let her lips glide across the shorter girl's throat.

"Since when does it matter? If she was bothered by it, she'd be gone already. Stop trying to ruin the moment, wait any longer and I might not be enough to do this."

Eunha rolled her eyes and locked her arms around Yerin's neck. "You're always enough,"

"Mm," Yerin hummed against the girl's throat before hungrily capturing her lips with hers and blindly guiding her to the bed only a few feet away.

Yerin walked into the kitchen at around seven am the next morning to find a certain brunette eating cereal while on her phone.

Yerin scratched the back of her head and approached the cupboards, battling with herself for a few short seconds on whether she should say good morning or not.

It was always weird when one of them broke the silence when they were alone. Like they were forcing themselves to try to make things at least a little less awkward than they already were.

Even though, they both were totally aware of how everything was still and would still be, so awkward.

Yerin frowns when she picks up a box of her favorite cereal and finds it empty.

She turns to look at the girl who's still sitting comfortably at the kitchen counter, munching away on what looks a lot like what used to be in the now empty box of fruity pebbles.

"Couldn't have left even a little?" Yerin breaks the silence, shaking the box of cereal in her hand.

It wasn't supposed to sound menacing or traced with any bit of distaste at all, and maybe it only sounded that way to Yerin's ears, but either way Yerin regrets saying anything.

Because now, it was like everything they said would somehow be taken the wrong way just by the tone of their voices.

Sinb doesn't look up from her phone and, with a mouthful of cereal, her, favorite cereal, mutters, "Sorry."

Yerin rolls her eyes and places the cereal box down, opting to just having a strawberry yogurt from the fridge as her breakfast. Yerin wasn't really picky as long as she ate.

She goes to sit on the couch with her yogurt, turning on the tv and watching whatever happened to be on.

Eunha had come out of her room not too long after, looking all out of sorts which made Yerin's lips quirk up slightly.

"What're you watching?" Eunha spoke softly, sitting next to Yerin but making sure to keep some distance.

They might've been somewhat close due to recent events, but, they still weren't that close.

Yerin shrugged and continued eating happily, not turning to look when she heard Sinb get up from her spot at the kitchen table.

"You think she heard?" Eunha asked, nudging Yerin in the side, causing her poor yogurt to fall from her spoon.

Yerin turned to look at her in disappointment.

"No, maybe? I don't know. And anyway, it wouldn't be my fault if she did," Yerin teased, laughing when Eunha pushed her shoulder and made a whining sound.

During their laughing/teasing banter, Sinb walked out and slung her backpack over her shoulder.

"I'll see you guys later," was all the two girls heard before she practically bolted for the door and left.

"She definitely did." Eunha stated.

"You think?"

"Totally. Anyway, I'm gonna go wash up, you're free to join me if you'd like..." The short haired girl jumped up for where she was and let her voice trail off as she glanced once at Yerin before setting off down the hall.

Yerin shook her head and after finishing her yogurt, got up to throw it in the trash can.

When the lid opened she had to do a double take when she saw remains (more like half a bowl) of the cereal Sinb ate earlier.

Staring at it a little longer, Yerin wondered if maybe that was some childish way to get her back for her lack of sleep, if she happened to hear them.

She didn't even like fruity pebbles after all.

Looking a bit longer, Yerin shook her head and threw the yogurt away, passing by the sink to drop her spoon there before searching for her other roomate, hoping she wasn't too late to take up her offer.

"You're still banging Eunha? How long has it been now, like a month?"

Yerin rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Sowon, it's not like that."

"So you've caught feelings for her?"

"No!"

"Then?"

Yerin sighed and tapped her fingers on the clear glass, watching as the liquor would swish slightly.

"I don't know. I guess it is like that, I mean, not the feelings part but, yeah. She's one of my best friends, so it's hard seeing us like dating and ."

Sowon gulped down her drink and quickly asked for a refill before cocking her head toward Yerin.

"But it's completely cool that you guys ?"

Yerin downed her shot and slammed the glass into the table. "Probably not."

After a while of silence, Yerin shook her head. "I mean, of course it's not cool, but, it helps."

"Helps you to cope without Sinb?" Sowon said bluntly, swallowing yet another shot.

Though Yerin had only recently became aquatinted with Sowon at college for a couple months, the two seemed to hit it off and it didn't take long for Sowon to find out about the mess that is her love life. Or life. Or just her mess of problems in general.

Most of the time when it's brought up, one of them is drunk though.

Neither of them liked to dwell deep into their emotions, so a little alcohol always helped move things along, whatever that meant.

Yerin didn't reply and instead, took another shot and looked to Sowon, shaking her head and looking at the now empty glass.

Is this how I cope?

Yerin spent a lot of nights out.

She wasn't a complete mess; (she wouldn't bet that if you asked anyone else they'd say the same) she always liked to party and get drunk. And maybe since certain events she's been taking it to a new level, but, she'd never outright admit to anything.

So when she stumbles through her front door, completely faced, stumbling while trying to make it to the couch, it's nothing new.

When Yerin loses her balance and nearly tumbles to the floor, she feels arms wrap around her body and lift her up, leading her to sit on the couch.

In her hazy mind, it didn't really register that the person who saved her from possible face damage was none other than her ex-girlfriend and roommate.

"Yerin..."

Yerin hummed and slumped against who she now knew was Sinb's body and felt herself began to drift into a state of unconsciousness.

"Sinb?"

Sinb was saying something to her, but all Yerin could focus on was how warm she was and how nice she smelled.

So she just kept humming in response to whatever was being said and pulled away to try see Sinb's face. Though Yerin was sure she wasn't dreaming, being as drunk off her as she was, all of it felt like she was seeing her through some sort of fogged up glass. She blinked and blinked but she wasn't getting any clearer.

"Sinb," Yerin said, hiccuping right after, not even knowing why she said her name in the first place.

"Yes?"

Yerin just sat there, feeling her gaze up the image of the girl sitting next to her now, still unaware of anything that was going on.

She couldn't stop staring.

She probably looked like a moron, just sitting there and gawking at her, but her dazed mind didn't give her the time to feel embarrassed about it.

She wanted to kiss her, so bad.

Maybe it was just because she was extra when she was drunk, but Sinb just looked so beautiful sitting there, and the stupid dim light from the kitchen wasn't helping anything.

Before she could stop herself, she was leaning in, which in her drunken state, was probably more like throwing herself at her.

Yerin felt her hands on her shoulders, stopping her from getting any closer than she needed to be, or should be.

"Not a good idea." Sinb's voice echoed in Yerin's ear and she mindlessly flopped back onto the couch.

The last thing Yerin remembers before waking up the next morning is staring at Sinb's face while she sat beside her, muttering things that were probably better left unsaid.

" my life," Yerin grumbled, sitting up and rubbing the side of her head.

Once Yerin became more aware of her surroundings, she realized she had somehow ended up in her bed, inside her blankets and a glass of water on the bedside table along with aspirin.

Yerin didn't wanna get her hopes up, thinking that maybe Sinb was the one who did all of this, but she don't remember seeing Eunha at all that night so it wouldn't make sense for it to be anyone else.

Why couldn't Sinb just stop caring for her all together? It would make everything so much easier. It would make forgetting her so much easier. But, how much could Yerin really forget when they literally lived together?

Yerin was one to talk.

Even though Yerin tried to seem indifferent to everything, she still cared more for Sinb than anyone else.

She just at showing her emotions.

Sleeping with both her and Sinb's best friend since high school was probably a stupid thing to do, but Yerin had no sense of control to stop it.

And anyway, to call Eunha and Sinb best friends now wouldn't exactly be accurate.

Ever since the break up and Sinb finding out about the whole thing between her and Eunha, things were weird.

Not like the, 'this is a little awkward but let's pretend it's not' kind of weird, but the 'this is really awkward and being in the same room together makes me uncomfortable' kind of weird.

Three girls under one roof could be troublesome enough at times and they've shared their fair share of fights and whatnot through the past year, but nothing was quite the same since Yerin and Sinb had broken up and Yerin had begun to seek for some sort of comfort with Eunha.

As for Yerin and Sinb's relationship, she wasn't exactly sure where they stood.

There was too much tension when they were alone, but it felt like they both had to be near each other for even a minute a day just because.

It wasn't a nasty break up, but it wasn't a pretty one either.

To sum it up, this was how it went:

Yerin got drunk.

Yerin kissed some girl who wasn't Sinb.

Yerin told Sinb.

Sinb broke up with her.

Obviously, the kiss was what made Sinb break up with her, but there was a lot of Yerin did that could also be a factor.

They had started dating their junior year in high school, but had been friends since freshman year, along with Eunha.

They were all so close that it seemed only right that they all move in together after high school, because that's what best friends do.

Eunha didn't ever seem bothered being surrounded by their relationship, she never voiced it anyway. She had always said it didn't matter to her, and anyway, she wasn't the type of person that easily got uncomfortable for whatever reason. They were best friends, it didn't matter.

Yerin wondered if they were still considered to be as close as they were before.

Yerin groggily got out of bed and placed two pills in her hand and took a big gulp of water before deciding to go outside her room.

When she went into the living room, she saw Sinb sitting on the couch, watching tv, while Eunha was further away, leaning against the kitchen counter and drinking orange juice.

"Heard you had a night," Eunha teased once she saw her enter the kitchen.

Yerin shook her head and went to fetch some orange juice for herself before turning to stand beside Eunha.

She couldn't help but notice Eunha was wearing a rather...nice outfit today with her jean shorts and a nice black crop top, a black choker around the smooth skin of her neck.

Really, Eunha had always had a nice style but back then it's not like Yerin ever thought of doing things to her because of what she was wearing before.

Thing were a little different now.

Yerin met Eunha's eyes that were practically glinting at her, and she raised a brow as if she were challenging her not to do anything.

"You got a little..." Eunha reached up to playfully wipe at the nonexistent drool at the corner of her lips and giggled as she did so, making Yerin uncontrollably laugh along with her while swatting her hand away.

"We have class today, you should get ready. I'll be right back,"

Eunha practically bounced away down the hall, leaving Yerin still leaning against the counter.

Yerin, remembering that Sinb was just feet away, turned her head to see she was still there watching tv, seeming unbothered.

She wanted to thank her, to tell her something, anything.

But for some reason, Yerin sensed that Sinb wasn't in the mood to hear anything from her just by the vibe she was giving off so instead, she sat her glass down and made her way to her room to get dressed.

Yerin threw on a simple white t-shirt with black jeans and before leaving, tore a piece of paper from a notebook she had laying around and took a pen from a jar on her desk and scribbled something.

Folding the paper, Yerin grabbed her backpack and left her room, slipping the note under Sinb's door as she passed down the hall and walked out to see Eunha sitting on the arm of the couch on her phone.

"Ready?" Eunha asked, looking up when she entered the room.

Yerin nodded and smiled, letting Eunha lead her out.

Just before Yerin left the room, she glanced back and made eye contact with Sinb who had already been looking her way.

Yerin didn't sleep with anyone besides Eunha after the break up.

Either way it was pretty messed up, no matter who it was that she slept with, but for some reason, sleeping with random people didn't appeal to her.

Maybe it was because of that night she kissed a random stranger and ruined everything, maybe it wasn't.

Not that sleeping with their best friend and other roommate was any better at all.

Yerin never claimed to be good at decision making.

And anyway, it's not she purposely starting something with her. It just sort of happened.

Yerin was lonely and drunk, and Eunha was more than willing to be of service.

From then on, things kind of just escalated to the point where it was to be considered a casual reoccurrence between them. As much as Yerin wanted to break it off at times, like times when she was sober, her unhealthy desires kept pulling her back in and eventually Yerin just went along with it.

Of course she felt like every time but, it's not like she was with Sinb anymore.

But she somehow still knew it hurt her.

"You okay?"

Yerin was brought back to reality when she felt Eunha's hand glide down to her face.

No. I don't think I've been okay for a while

"Yeah," Yerin answers, smiling despite her thoughts and tried to lean down to kiss Eunha once again.

Eunha leaned her head back, causing her double chin to appear and Yerin would've laughed but for some reason Eunha didn't seem to be in a goofy mood.

Yerin rolled off of Eunha as the other girl sat up at the edge of the bed, fixing her shirt.

"You know I'm not gonna do this if you're not into it. I'm not desperate for this," Eunha shifted so she could see Yerin better.

"I know." Yerin said, suddenly feeling bad for Eunha because it dawned on her that she had been the one to drag her into a mess she didn't deserve to be a part of.

"I don't think you do, Yerin."

Eunha's voice was calm, as was her facial features, but Yerin couldn't help but feel like she struck a nerve.

The short haired girl shifted even more so that she could face Yerin without craning her neck and sighed.

"I care about you Yerin. You're one of my best friends. But we don't talk anymore, we just have ...which is cool I guess but, I want us to be able to communicate too, you know."

Yerin's fingers danced along the sheets below her as she carefully contemplated her next words.

"What are we even gonna talk about? How this is all a big mess and how much I'm screwing myself over?"

Eunha shook her head. "Whatever you want."

"I still love her." Yerin got out, voice low as she refused to look up from the bed sheets.

Some tequila would be great right about now.

She felt her hand being covered and she finally glanced up at Eunha who was smiling softly. "I know you do."

Yerin pulled her hand away rather hastily.

"I just don't know if I can deal with facing that yet."

"You don't have to. Not until you're ready."

But Yerin didn't know if she'd ever be ready.

Sinb and Yerin weren't alone in the house very often.

Yerin and Eunha had classes around the same time, and when they arrived Sinb would probably just be getting ready to head out.

But there were times when Eunha would go out with some other friends from college and hang for a bit, or even just go somehow by herself because she liked her alone time.

Much like today.

Eunha had announced she was leaving to go hang out for a little bit (which actually meant a lottle bit) and was gone before either girl would be able to say bye.

It made Yerin anxious.

Even more so, the fact that there wasn't any alcohol in the house made Yerin want to claw her eyes out because she felt like she was even more of a mess in front of her without it.

She couldn't blame the alcohol for whacky actions.

So Yerin had a five-minute pep talk with herself in the mirror before building up the courage to go sit next to Sinb and watch tv.

Yerin hadn't really let herself do such a thing since everything went to , so she should've expected the shocked look Sinb gave her when she sat down.

She made sure to sit on the opposite end of the couch from where Sinb was. Even though she wanted to be closer, both of them knew it was better if she wasn't.

For maybe twenty minutes they just sat there, watching whatever show was on in silence.

Well, Sinb was.

Yerin's mind would not rest and her thoughts were running wild because she couldn't remember being like this with Sinb in so long.

She would glance at her from time to time and just observe her.

But she had to look away quickly because it hurt looking at someone so beautiful and knowing you let them slip away.

And if she got caught, what the hell was she supposed to say?

"You're welcome."

Yerin almost jumped at the sudden sound of Sinb's voice filling the room, turning to her.

Sinb's eyes were still glued to the screen and she had her arm propped on the arm of the couch with her cheek resting on her hand.

Suddenly it registered what Sinb was referring to.

"You read it?"

Obviously, she read it, you , it was literally two words

And when Sinb actually turned to look at her, Yerin couldn't figure out why it affected her so damn much.

Her breath actually caught in because, God damn, was Sinb beautiful.

She'd always known this, but for some reason she'd neglected even taking a good look at her lately.

How could she let someone like her get away?

"If it helps, you weren't that much of a mess last night. If anything, I feel good about myself after hearing you praise me for a good ten minutes," Sinb laughed out, and Yerin realized just how much she had missed her laugh.

Yerin was laughing too, not because anything was particularly funny, not because she was embarrassed, but because Sinb was laughing and it was the most contagious thing in the world even after all this time.

Yerin couldn't look away, and when Sinb shifted awkwardly and cleared , what happened next really couldn't be helped.

Yerin practically dove across the couch and pressed her lips against Sinb's, holding her face in her hands and not letting her get away for even a second.

Eventually, Sinb managed to escape Yerin's attack, and stared at her with her chest heaving.

"I'm sorry." Was all Yerin could say as she stared right back, her own breathing labored but not because of the kiss, but because she hadn't been this close to Sinb in what felt like forever and it was absolutely overwhelming.

Yerin muttered another apology while moving away from Sinb, back to where she had been seated before.

There was thick tension in the silence that followed and Yerin wanted nothing more than to take back what she had just did because Sinb didn't even have to say anything for Yerin to know she messed up, yet again.

"You can't just do that, Yerin." Sinb said, still sounding a little breathless which really made it difficult for Yerin to not dive in to kiss her again.

"I know. I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

Yerin wanted it to happen again despite the words that left , but she knew better than to let such thoughts get to her.

It was silent until Eunha got home later that night, and she must've known something happened because as soon as she walked in, she gave Yerin a questioning look on her way to her room.

Even though all she did was kiss Sinb, it felt like so much more because it somehow opened up something inside of Yerin that had been closed up for a long time and she knew that it sparked something inside of Sinb too.

Yerin hadn't thought about it much before, but after that it seemed like she'd never have a thought that wasn't about her.

Yerin hadn't seen Sinb with anyone after they broke up, and even though it's hypocritical of her, she really hoped it would stay that way.

She didn't think it'd bother her as much as it did when she actually saw it.

She had just gotten home from class with Eunha when she opened the front door to see Sinb straddling some guy on the couch, their, couch, making out while his hands were all over her body.

Yerin was frozen in place and she couldn't even turn to acknowledge Eunha who was burning a hole into the side of her head from where she stood beside her.

The thing that really had Yerin's blood boiling was that she didn't even stop to look when she obviously heard the door being opened.

When they did pull away from each other, the stupid guy had a smirk on his face while Sinb just seemed utterly flustered as she stared back at Yerin.

Yerin practically stomped to her room.

That night, Yerin made sure drag Eunha to her room and be better than she ever was before, so that Eunha wouldn't have any other choice but to be loud.

It was so stupid, whatever they were doing.

But it was clear Sinb was playing at something and Yerin knew it.

It's a weird back and forth thing between Sinb and Yerin from then on and even Eunha notices and expresses her concern toward the issue.

"Can't you guys just stop messing around and go back to dating?"

Yerin sighed. "Easier said than done. She wouldn't want me back anyway, I cheated, who'd take me back?"

Eunha rolled her eyes at her as if she was missing the key point to something obvious, shifting to face her.

"Then show her you won't do that again, Yerin. I know you. Hell, she knows you and we know that if you make a mistake or up, you keep your word in trying to better yourself. I've seen it. Yeah, you might get drunk off your like seventy percent of the time but, it's not like you're out there getting yourself into trouble. You just need to show you that you care, simple as that."

Yerin turned her head to meet Eunha's confident stare and shook her head.

"You're like some ing therapist sometimes, I swear. But anyway...how do I do that? I'm not good with like romance and feelings and all that."

Eunha clicked her tongue and got up from the couch. "That's for you to work out, not me."

Yerin sighed and threw her head back against the couch.

Plan to get Sinb back went underway as soon as they had the talk and Yerin spent four hours getting her together mentally.

The plan to get Sinb back also meant that her and Eunha would no longer sleep together, which was like, weird because it had seemed so normal since they started it, but it's not like Yerin missed it much.

In fact, Yerin was glad they ended whatever they had been doing because it always left Yerin with so much regret and inner turmoil which just made her depressed and yearn for Sinb more and more.

To ease things up, Yerin had tried several times to spark up a simple conversation with Sinb when they were alone, which now was more often since Eunha was obviously in on the whole plan to get them back together.

But all she would get in response is a nod or a muttered reply and never, ever any eye contact.

It's not like Yerin blamed her.

Her ex-girlfriend that cheated who had been sleeping with her best friend and also tried to kiss her one night out of nowhere, was trying to talk to her casually like everything was fine.

Still, Yerin was at a loss.

"This is stupid. She won't even look at me, let alone speak to me. Maybe I should just stop trying,"

Eunha hit her with a pillow.

"What the hell?"

"Stop being an idiot. You told me yourself you still love her and want to get her back, and now you're giving up before you've even tried?"

Yerin huffed. "I am trying!"

Eunha stared at her. "No, you're not. You have to do cute gestures for her to let her know you care. You know, like make breakfast for her or coffee and buy her things you know she likes. Romantic stuff."

Yerin blinked.

"Oh my gosh, you're a lost cause," Eunha groaned, shaking her head.

Yerin felt proud of herself for being able to flip a pancake when she had finally taken Eunha's advice and decided to make Sinb some breakfast.

She hardly ever cooked.

Which is why it took her three burnt batches of pancakes and some undercooked bacon before she could get the hang of it.

Once she had set out a plate of food on the kitchen counter, Yerin was struck with an overwhelming wave of nervousness.

Suddenly Yerin was laughing to herself because, really, the situation was just completely ridiculous.

Yerin tried to occupy herself until Sinb woke up by being on her phone or watching tv but she couldn't relax for the life of her.

Not to mention she couldn't even touch her food because the nerves were making her stomach churn unpleasantly.

Yerin nearly peed herself when she saw Sinb walking out of her room.

"You made breakfast?" Sinb asked, tilting her head as she observed the food.

Yerin got up from the couch and cleared , slowly approaching the kitchen counter.

"Uh, yeah. Thought you'd wanna eat something besides cereal,"

Yerin was sure it was obvious that she was nervous because she could hear her own voice shake and it made her regret doing anything.

Sinb nodded slowly, taking a seat and meeting Yerin's eyes only for a moment.

"Thanks..."

Yerin nodded and kinda just stood there while Sinb ate her food, which was really weird but for some reason she couldn't move.

Sinb stopped chewing on her eggs when she felt her presence and slowly looked up.

Yerin stared back until she realized she was being a total creep and quickly walked back to the couch.

Yerin was out buying some things for the house when she came across something that caught her eye.

Collection of all the Harry Potter movies.

Even though Yerin was aware that Sinb had probably seen the movies over a thousand times, she thought maybe she'd appreciate a little gift.

When Eunha had went to bed, Yerin grabbed the box and headed toward the living room where Sinb was.

Sinb didn't even turn her head when Yerin sat beside her, eyes clued directly in front of her on the screen.

"Uh..." Yerin hated how awkward she got around Sinb because she always sounded like such an idiot.

Yerin placed the box in between the space between her and Sinb, finally grasping her attention.

"I saw this while I was out and...I don't know I thought maybe you'd like it."

Sinb's curious gaze shifted to the box and she hesitantly picked it up and examined it.

"Harry Potter?" Sinb asked, lips tilting upward slightly as she spoke.

Yerin shifted. "Yeah...I know how obsessed you are with it so now you can watch them whenever you want."

Yerin chewed the inside of her cheek while she sat, trying to read Sinb's facial expressions.

Sinb then turned and cocked her head.

"Why'd you buy it for me?"

"Because I know you like Harry Potter..."

Sinb looked like she wanted to say more but she opted for just nodding and setting the box on her lap.

"Thank you."

Yerin smiled. "Yeah,"

As the days passed, Yerin would keep doing little things for Sinb here and there.

Buying her cute things, helping her with college stuff, taking her place when it was her turn to wash the dishes.

Eunha had been seemingly proud of her work and had said she was doing a good job, whatever that meant.

Yerin just hoped her message was getting through.

One day, when Yerin was tidying up the kitchen, Sinb approached her.

"Okay, what are you doing?"

Yerin turned and stopped wiping the counter, looking to see that Sinb was holding a flower vase with pink and red flowers spread about.

"What?"

Sinb lifted the flowers to get her point across and Yerin tried to think of a reasonable excuse.

"They looked good in your room..."

"So, you bought flowers for me because you thought they looked good in my room?"

Yerin swallowed. "Yeah...?"

Sinb placed the vase down and placed her hands on either side of the kitchen counter, looking directly into Yerin's eyes.

Yerin really tried to focus on the matter at hand but Sinb looked seriously hot at that particular moment that it was extremely difficult.

"Making me breakfast, buying me things...it's a little weird, Yerin." Sinb remarked, eyes burning into hers.

Yerin had to look away down at the counter and stay silent.

She couldn't outright tell her that this was all because she was trying to win her back after she realized how stupid she had been.

"Whatever you're doing, just stop. I don't appreciate you messing with my feelings."

Yerin's head snapped up. "That's what you think I'm doing?"

Sinb raised a brow.

"That's not-Sinb, it's not like that, I-"

"Just stop it, okay?"

Sinb didn't say another word and left Yerin standing there, staring at the now sad looking flowers on the kitchen counter.

Yerin was on a second bottle, or maybe third, she didn't really know but she did know she was definitely not in the right mindset.

"And she...she accused me of messing with her feelings! Like off...messing with her feelings," Yerin laughed out lazily, swinging a bottle of wine in her right hand that she had got from the girl beside her.

"What a bit-"

"Hey! Don't call her that, you giraffe lookin..."

Sowon hit her on the shoulder and then they both burst into laughter as they fell over the couch.

Sowon had often invited Yerin to her house to hang out, which more often than not led to them getting a little tipsy.

"For real...I love her, like why would I even try to get her back if I didn't? Yeah I ed up...but if she would just let me make it up, I wouldn't do it again, you know?" Yerin burped after her sentence and then took another swig of wine.

Sowon nodded and hummed. "Dude, totally."

"What do I do?"

Sowon took the bottle of wine from her and took a drink.

"Just tell her! Tell her all that mushy and bada-bing bada-boom!"

Yerin sighed and blew at her bangs. "I don't know if it's that easy."

Sowon looked at her and shrugged. "You never know if you try it. Wait, I mean you never try...or is it you won't try it if you don't know? You never know if...unless...."

Yerin sighed and closed her eyes.

Yerin knew she had to tell Sinb how she felt before she possibly got into a relationship or brought that one guy home again.

She just wasn't too sure how to go about it.

Whenever Yerin tried to approach her to talk, Sinb would leave the room or just not respond at all which frustrated her to no ends.

She couldn't let her get away this time, though.

So when Yerin saw Sinb walk out of her room, she immediately got up and went to her, grabbing her arm and ushering her into her room and closed the door.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Sinb shouted, pulling her arm away and looking at Yerin like she was crazy.

Yerin moved Sinb so she wouldn't be next to the door and try to escape.

"Just listen, okay? Sit down, please."

Sinb looked like she was gonna protest but decided against it and hesitantly sat on the edge of Yerin's bed.

"Yerin, seriously, what the-"

"I'm not messing with your feelings."

Sinb stopped talking.

Yerin sighed and ran her hand through her hair, messing up her bangs but not really caring about her appearance at the moment.

She went to stand in front of where Sinb was sat and tried to collect her thoughts.

"Just listen to me. You don't have to say anything or agree with what I'm saying but I just need to tell you this because I never did before."

Sinb simply stared back and Yerin took it as a sign to continue.

"When we broke up...I tried so hard to act like it didn't matter to me, that I didn't care, but inside I was a mess, Sinb. Because I loved you, and I still love you now and thinking about you with anyone else makes me feel sick because we should be together. I know I ed up, and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. But I-" Yerin stopped talking when she remembered something.

She quickly opened her closet door and fetched the banquet of roses she had hid there earlier and went back to her spot.

"Um...I'm just really sorry for everything and sleeping with Eunha to try to get over you and pretending we had something going on when we really didn't. I love her but I promise I don't feel anything for her. I'm sorry for hurting you and not being the best I could be when we were together. I'm sorry."

There was a moment of silence and Yerin took turns moving her hands to rub them on her jeans before placing them back on the roses she had got for Sinb.

"So this is your attempt to get me back?"

Yerin's heart skipped a beat at the calm tone in Sinb's voice and the way she breathes out a laugh after.

"I..." Yerin stood stunned, not knowing what to say because she hadn't really thought of what to do if this didn't work out.

Sinb looked away and shook her head, slowly getting up and heading to the door.

Yerin couldn't do anything but stay in place as Sinb exited her room and left her holding the stupid banquet of roses.

"Well, what did you expect? You dragged her to your room, got roses that you hid in your closet, and confessed to her in the completely wrong way. So not romantic."

"I told you I wasn't good at this! What the hell do I do now?"

Eunha sighed and sat up, looking at Yerin like she was about to tell her the way to get into the gates of heaven.

"Look. If you really want her back, you have to show her. Do something extravagant, something heartwarming. And do not, I repeat, DO NOT, give her roses from your closet, you . I'm not gonna tell you what you should do because if you can't figure it out then maybe you don't really want her that bad."

Yerin sat, silent as she absorbed Eunha's words.

"I'm an idiot."

Eunha snorted. "Yeah, I know."

It took Yerin a week to figure out her plan, and another week to figure out how the hell she was gonna make this work.

Sowon was completely on board with the whole thing as soon as Yerin told her the plan which made a tiny bit of her feel less anxious.

The plan was a little farfetched but at this point Yerin was just desperate to try anything that might work.

She rented a limo, which Sowon would be driving and they would pick her up from class and take her out to a nice place to eat.

Then, they would arrive at a hotel that Yerin booked for the night so they could spend time together as well as enjoy the perks of the place.

Yerin would arrange the hotel room to be perfect before her and Sinb entered it and hope for the best.

What made Yerin think Sinb would want to spend the night with Yerin in a hotel room?

She had no idea.

But, again, it was worth a shot.

And besides, she would feel less awkward since they'd be alone there and she wouldn't have to make Eunha leave the house.

"I'm so wearing a tux," Sowon said, popping a piece of candy into .

Yerin shook her head. "That's ridiculous, all you're doing is driving us."

"In a sick limo! I want to feel cool, okay? Just be glad I'm even agreeing to this."

Yerin laughed and nodded. "I am, Sowon. I am."

"Do you guys think you're gonna get it on at the hotel? Because if so-"

Yerin threw a candy at her. "Shut up."

"I'm just saying th-"

"Sowon, I will hit you."

Sowon relented and rolled her eyes. "Gosh, you're no fun."

"You look great, everything will be fine just relax." Eunha said, trying to soothe Yerin who was practically jittering where she stood from nerves.

Yerin took a deep breath and smacked her lips together, hands trying to trace any possible wrinkles in her shirt out.

Eunha placed a hand on Yerin's shoulder and patted it gently, offering a supportive smile and Yerin smiled back.

It was really weird seeing Eunha like this.

After everything that went down, she was still here helping her try to get back together with her ex and it was all bizarre.

Yerin sighed. "Thank you, Eunha."

Eunha tilted her head. "For what?"

"For this."

The shorter girl’s lips turned up and she gave a dazzling smile.

"We're best friends, this is what best friends do, Yerin. And anyway...thank me after everything works out," Eunha smirked.

Yerin shook her head. "No. Thank you for everything. I dragged you into this when you didn't deserve it...I don't know how to express how grateful I am for you, Eunha. You're my best friend. You'll always be."

Eunha's expression turned to one more serious and her hand squeezed her shoulder before letting it slide off.

"You don't need to thank me. I understand, alright?"

Yerin nodded.

Then suddenly Eunha elbowed her in the stomach.

"When did you get all sentimental, anyway?"

Yerin laughed and so did Eunha and it all really felt like things were clicking into place, like how things should be.

A knock on the front door grasped both of their attention and Eunha clapped excitedly, sprinting to the door.

"Sowon from college, right? How come I've never met this friend before?" Eunha teased, her hand on the door knob as she looked back at Yerin who was approaching the door.

"Well, she's a little..."

Eunha had already opened the door.

"Yo, Yo, Yo! That's right, I bought this sick tux on eBay and honestly, I think I look great. There's a tear on the back but it's totally fine. Sinb might just ditch you for me!"

Sowon practically bursted out yelling from just outside the door where she stood, and she had so much energy that the stupid looking hat she had on nearly fell off her head and her glasses slipped off because she whacked herself on accident.

Yerin closed her eyes and sighed, bringing her fingers up to pinch the bridge of her nose.

Sowon, realizing that the one who opened the door wasn't her, quickly got silent.

"Uh, who's this?"

Yerin shook her head. "My other roommate, Eunha, remember I've told you about her?"

Sowon swallowed. "Yeah, I remember."

Yerin watched in amusement as Sowon struggled to fix her glasses and situate her hat properly.

"Uh, hi."

Yerin turned her head to see Eunha with a shy smile as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

Yerin wasn't dumb. Eunha usually only did that when she was into someone and judging from the staring contest between her two friends, they were definitely already into each other.

"Nice to meet you, Sowon. Hope you'll be of good service for Yerin,"

"Yeah, of course." Sowon said, her speech a lot more toned down as opposed to usual.

Yerin looked between the two for a couple seconds before shaking her head. "Okay well, we should get going now, Sinb gets off soon."

"Right, well good luck! And maybe I'll see you another time, Sowon..." Eunha trailed off, smiling teasingly.

Sowon nodded her head vigorously and Yerin rolled her eyes, having to grab onto her arm and drag her away to the limo.

Of course once Yerin let go of Sowon's hand, she continued to walk while facing Eunha and hit the side of the car making Yerin face palm.

"Please get in the car, Sowon." Yerin sighed, moving to get in the limo.

Finally, after what felt like Yerin having to sit in the limo for ages, Sowon finally got in and took the driver’s seat.

Eunha had already closed the door and Yerin sat there, waiting for them to drive off but they still weren't moving.

Yerin turned to see Sowon staring at her with a funny look as her hands were on the steering wheel.

"Dude, why didn't you tell me Eunha was so attractive? I made myself look like an idiot, oh my gosh."

"Yeah well, what's new?"

"You have to get her number for me,"

Yerin nodded. "If you would just drive already, then I'll gladly give it to you."

The car was already moving before Yerin even finished talking.

"There she is!" Yerin observed Sinb walking out of the building with her headphones in as she began to approach her car.

Sowon drove next to her car and stopped, turning to Yerin with a smile.

"I got this,"

Sowon lifted her sunglasses up and got out of the limo, approaching Sinb who was oblivious to anything that was going on or the fact that a random stranger in a tux was headed her way.

"Excuse me, miss?" Sowon finally stopped when she was close enough to the girl, and Sinb seeing move, she took out her headphones.

"Me?"

"Yes. If you'd please, come this way." Sowon gestured toward the limo that Sinb had barely noticed.

Sinb looked lost as Yerin watched everything from the back window and her knee bounced up and down and the realization that she could just walk away and not get led into a limo by some random girl she's never met.

Makes sense, though.

Sowon did look extremely ridiculous looking like she did while Sinb looked at her like she'd grown another head. There were even people around that were noticing.

"Um, I don't really know you, so..."

"That's okay," Sowon smiled. "You know a friend of mine."

Yerin's heart leaped once she saw Sowon approaching the car with Sinb behind her, giving a thumbs up.

Sowon opened the door for Sinb and Yerin watched as she hesitantly stepped closer.

"What about my car?"

"We'll take care of it,"

Sinb then peeked into the car and Yerin swallowed deeply when she made eye contact with her.

"What's this?"

"Get in, please?" Yerin asked, trying not to scare Sinb off.

Sinb looked at Sowon, then back at Yerin before getting in the back next to her.

"Mind telling me what the hell is going on?" Sinb asked once Sowon closed the door and made her way to the front.

Yerin smiled and zipped .

Sinb huffed and faced the window. "This is already annoying,"

So maybe Sinb wasn't in the best mood to start off, but it was only the beginning and really, her even getting in the limo was a success in her book.

They didn't speak the whole ride until they got to the restaurant, but Yerin could see Sinb glance around the limo in interest which made her lips quirk up.

Once the limo halted, Sowon announced they were there and Yerin quickly picked up the dress she had picked out for Sinb to wear for the dinner from the back.

"Put this on,"

Sinb glanced down and then back up at Yerin.

"There's enough room to change here, we'll get out." Yerin explained, exiting the limo with Sowon.

For a minute, Yerin didn't think Sinb would even comply and that she would come out demanding to be taken back.

But, after a few minutes, the door opened and out came Sinb.

"God, what am I doing..." Sinb muttered as she stepped out, closing the door behind her as both Yerin and Sowon stared.

It was a simple nice black, knee length dress but Yerin felt her breath get caught in anyway.

Yerin bit her lip as she saw Sowon glance at her knowingly, winking before bowing her hat down and moving to the other side of the car.

"You two have fun, I'll pick you guys up at eight o clock sharp." Sowon got I to the limo and drove off, leaving Sinb and Yerin standing beside each other awkwardly.

Yerin held her hand out for Sinb to take and smiled to herself when after a minute, she did.

"Seriously, Yerin, what is-"

Yerin had opened the door to the restaurant and Sinb stopped mid-sentence.

"Woah." Sinb breathed, eyes practically sparkling as she observed the place and Yerin smiled at her.

"Just try to enjoy yourself. It's one night, if it's the only one I'll have with you like this then I want the memory to be a good one," Yerin said, watching as Sinb looked at her but then quickly looked down.

They were led to their booth and they sat in silence for a while.

"I know what you're doing." Sinb said, putting down her menu.

Yerin looked up and squinted her eyes. "Was it the limo, or bringing you here that gave it away?"

Yerin's question was innocent and slightly teasing, but she couldn't find a similar expression from Sinb in return.

Sinb sighed. "I already told you that-"

"And I already told you that I'm not messing with your feelings. Why would I even bother doing this if I was?" Yerin interrupted, now placing her menu down as well.

Sinb just kind of stared at her for a minute with glinting eyes and then shook her head, looking down for a second before looking back up.

"You're serious, aren't you?"

Yerin sat back and tossed her hands up.

For the first time that night, or maybe for a while, Sinb seemed to loosen up a little and she breathed out like whatever was happening right now was weird and completely bizarre.

"You look beautiful,"

Sinb smirked. "You did (I) get me this dress, which by the way I might be keeping."

"Absolutely not."

"No?"

Yerin shook her head. "Cash up front,"

Sinb looked away and laughed and Yerin laughed along, heart feeling full at the easy banter that happened between them. It reminded her of how they were before she messed everything up.

They order their food and throughout the dinner, Sinb grew a lot less tense and uneasy with the whole situation, though she still had some sort of a guard up.

It was overall a good dinner considering the circumstances, and Yerin was thankful that she hadn't messed anything up yet.

"You done?" Yerin asked, watching as Sinb pushed her plate away.

Sinb nodded.

Yerin stared at her. "Have any money on you?"

Sinb have her an incredulous look and Yerin laughed out, putting her hands up in case she decided to jump over the table and tackle her, and not in a good way.

"I'm joking, I'm joking," Yerin put the money down and tilted her head.

"C'mon,"

Their limo was out there waiting while Sowon was leaning against it.

"Welcome back, food good?"

Sinb nodded and Yerin smiled again. Tonight, she just couldn't stop smiling because being around her like this was a wonderful feeling that she never wanted to go away.

"Off to the hotel!"

"Hotel?" Sinb asked, looking to Yerin for confirmation.

Yerin touched her bangs nervously and smiled meekly, trying to ease the bomb of suddenly being taken to a hotel.

"Yeah? I mean, it's only for a night but if you don't want to I understand..."

Yerin waited nervously for Sinb to reply, and was shocked frozen when she reached up to fix her bangs, fingers delicately brushing them out.

"You're still messing with your bangs..."

Yerin could only stare as Sinb stared back, bringing her band back down and smiling at her. "Why haven't we moved yet?"

Sowon smiled at Yerin through the review mirror and started the car, turning on the radio before driving off.

Once they got there, Yerin thanked Sowon before her and Sinb both exited the car and made their way into the hotel.

Yerin had already checked into the hotel earlier in the day, going up to the room and setting it up before they were to go there later that night.

After they both got everything together, Yerin's heart was nearly pounding out of her chest and she felt like she was going to have a panic attack as they took the elevator up to their room.

Yerin's hands were shaky when she reached up to open the door to the room and when she managed to get it open, she gestured for Sinb to go in first.

She went in after and flicked on the lights, closing the door behind her.

She heard Sinb gasp and wanting nothing more than to know if it was meant in a good way or a 'what the hell is this' way.

"Yerin..."

There were rose peddles scattered around the floor of the room, with a big banquet of roses in the middle of the bed.

She had hung little lights along the ceiling and she had put those on when Sinb was wondering around the room.

On a desk near the bed, there was note and a speaker next to it.

Sinb turned to her and opened to say something but Yerin shook her head, gesturing to the desk.

I'm not sure what to say other than I'm sorry and I love you repeatedly...but I hope this song explains my feelings better than my words can.

She waited by the door while Sinb went to read the note and once she did Yerin played the song.

How are you?

I’m just ok

I’m working hard and exercising hard

I’m hanging out with people

I’m busy

But whoever I meet

Why do I keep feeling empty?

I thought I’d be ok

I didn’t know I’d be like this

But suddenly, you wash over me like a wave

I was so sick of you,

I wanted to escape from you

But my feet keep going toward you

Only you make me breathe

You make me dream

Open my locked up heart again baby

Only you make me live

You make my heart race

Knock on my closed heart again baby

Come back to me, come back baby

Come back to me, come back baby

As the song played on, Yerin slowly made her way to Sinb who was still facing the desk, unmoving.

It eventually ended and Sinb finally turned and dived into Yerin's arms, and she didn't have to ask to know she was crying by the way she was shaking.

"Gosh, you're such an idiot, Yerin. Why couldn't you just tell me how you felt when we were together?"

Sinb voice was shaky and barely audible but Yerin heard and she leaned her head against hers, feeling her own eyes water.

"I'm sorry...I was stupid. I was scared. I can never take that night back, or the way I acted back, but I can promise to love you better than I did before if you give me that opportunity."

Sinb moved away and looked into Yerin's eyes.

"You really don't have anything with Eunha, right?"

Yerin grimaced. "God, no. I told you we only slept together because I was an emotional mess. I don't love her like that, I love you."

Sinb nodded and went back into her embrace.

"Good. Because you're only allowed to sleep with me from now on."

Yerin smiled.

"What about that one guy you brought home that one time?"

Sinb scoffed. "Some guy in one of my classes, it was nothing."

Yerin hummed and pulled from their embrace to look at Sinb, wiping her tears away with her thumb.

"So, I'll take it that you take my sorry back?"

Sinb laughed with tears still in her eyes and pulled Yerin to the bed, causing them both to fall onto it.

They laid beside each other in silence, just enjoying their presence until Sinb spoke up.

"It might take to a while to be able to trust you as much as I used to..."

Yerin her arm and nodded. "Take all the time you need, I'll never give up trying."

Sinb smiled at her with that smile that she had only used to give her before and it was such a beautiful sight for Yerin that she wondered for a split second if this was all a dream.

"You're crazy for doing this, you know that right?"

Sinb shifted closer to lay her head on her chest and Yerin gladly opened her arms for her and laughed.

"You're not the only one who thought so,"

Yerin felt Sinb shift again and she looked down to see the roses that were placed there before.

She picked them up and glanced up at Yerin. "You and these roses,"

"Don't you like them? They're a lot better than the last ones,"

Sinb sat up and placed them upon the desk with the letter and speaker then moved back to her previous position.

"Yeah, I do."

"Wow, after two months you guys are finally official? I thought I'd have to endure hearing you guys talk about each other for the rest of my life." Yerin said, earning a hit on the shoulder from Sinb who was sat beside her.

Sowon glared while Eunha rolled her eyes and pecked her lips, leaning her head back on her chest.

"Shall we remind you of the struggle to get Sinb back, or?"

Eunha smirked at them and Sinb sighed. "Let's not,"

"What we can do is stop talking and watch the movie." Yerin said, causing them to laugh as they returned their attention to the screen.

After that night in the hotel, things slowly but surely got better and eventually Yerin and Sinb were back to their relationship, except now it was better and stronger than it was before and Yerin couldn't be happier.

Yerin kept her word and gave Sowon Eunha's number the next day, which started a two-month ongoing flirting relationship between them before they finally started to make things official.

Things weren't so weird anymore.

Yerin, Sinb, and Eunha could all be in the same room and there wasn't any awkward tension and it felt complete again.

They were best friends again and with the addition of Sowon, things were great.

Yerin had Sinb here in her arms, and forever in her heart and she hadn't ever felt so complete.
