Background Info

 

Minhyuk was born in seattle. His mom is from korea while his dad is half korean. His mom's older brother was a manager for SS501 and told minhyuk about idols life. Minhyuk got interested in music as he listened to his uncle's stories and started singing. He got more into korean music when his older sister became a shawol and became a fan of ONEW. He auditioned to SM but did not manage to get in. On a trip to seattle to visit his sister, Minhyuk's uncle heard minhyuk sing and told minhyuk to come to korea if he wanted to train, Minhyuk accepted with the permission from his parents and went to korea in 2010, he trained with his uncle and decided to audition for a small company however he got scammed and through events, he became a trainee under THE BLACKLABEL. SM tried to street cast him but he ran away from the staff.
