Chapter 3 : Be Safe

 

Haru woke up at 8 am with a loud yawn and tired whimpers. She wanted to sleep more, but she had work to do. Tiredly, she shut her noisy alarm and walked to the bathroom. After finished showering, she wore her work uniform and style her hair a bit. Haru pulled her hair into a neat ponytail. Applying some light make up, she walked out from her room after she quite satisfied with her look. "Good morning, little penguin." Haru groaned and slapped her housemate's arm. "Shut up, idiot. I'm tired here so don't make me kick your , Claralala." Haru bit back. "Aw, little penguin is still sleepy, why?" Clara asked with a grin. Haru blinked nervously. "Why what? I'm just tired, okay?" "Oh, don't play dumb, Haru dear. So, who is he? That handsome guy from last night, I mean. Not to mention, he's hot." The brunette wiggled her eyebrows playfully. Haru faked a gag and glared at her friend. "He's just a friend of mine. Shut up. And don't talk about him like that. You'll make me puke rainbows. How do you know that guy came last night anyway?" "I was about to go to the kitchen so yeah, I saw you guys were talking and I didn't want to disturb your conversation. What's his name by the way?" Clara asked again, interested with Kai. Haru stuck out her tongue. "Not going to tell you." Haru chuckled. Clara gasped in shock. "Oh my gee, you're so into him already?" Haru widen her eyes. Her heart did skipped a beat. She felt blood rushing up to her face. She was absolutely blushing right now. "I-I'm not, okay?! Now, I'm going to go to work now cause' I'll be late. Bye!" Haru grabbed a piece of bread before rushing out from her apartment. "Aw, why are you freaking out?" Clara laughed silently at her friend. Haru felt her heart was thumping loudly. She placed a palm on her chest and took a deep breath. There's no way she should felt this way. God, am I going crazy?, she thought nervously. Haru shook her head and let out a sigh. She really hoped that her heart didn't put any hope so high. While closing the door, Haru sensed someone was looking at her. She turned her head to the left, but she caught nothing. To the right, still nothing. Haru shrugged her shoulders and sighed again, "Maybe I'm just tired." _________________________________________________ "Good morning, Haru!" Jade greeted her as she walked into the mall. Haru smiled at her and slowly walked towards the qiosk of Marc Jacobs. She set down her bag on the cashier's counter and leaned her head on the counter with her arms being fold below her forehead. Everything around her just seemed to tire her even more. Haru let out a yawn and patted her cheeks to overcome her sleepiness. She felt a little nudge on her waist and jumped a little. "Yo, sleepyhead. Wake up already." Her colleague flicked her forehead. Haru let out a squeak and pouted. "Ah, why?" She asked and rubbed her stinging forehead. Her shift was supposed to start in another half an hour. "To get those sleepiness out of you." Saby answered with a playful grin. "I've something to tell you. It's important as hell." She whispered quietly. Haru raised her eyebrows in doubt. "What? What happened?" "The fussy boss will be here today." Haru gasped. "What?! No way! It will be the death of us today.." Haru pretended to be faint on her friend. Saby laughed. "Oh, please. Stop with the drama already.
