Author's POV

A loud pang could be heard from the apartment shared by two people. Quick footsteps made it across a wooden walkway and away from the building.

"_____!" A young woman called desperately, following her girlfriend on the way out.

You kept walking. You didn't look back. You didn't want to. You knew that you wouldn't be able to handle it, at least not right now.

"_____ please! I can explain!" The disheveled girl continued, causing you stop in your tracks. You looked up at the blue sky and scoffed. It was cold.

The girl gently wrapped her arms around your waist and laid her head on your back. "_____..." She sobbed.

You grabbed her arms yanked them off without a care in the world. "Stop." You said firmly before turning around to meet her sorrowful gaze.

Your eyes travelled down at her attire. She was loosely wrapped in her white bedsheets, shivering.

Instinctually, you pealed off your long cardigan and placed it around her shoulders. "Take care of yourself, Tiffany." You said with only one tear rolling down your cheek.

Taking one last good look at the girl's familiar face, you took a breath. "We're over." You turned around and continued to walk away.

"_____! Stop right there! Don't leave me!" Tiffany begged, her voice broken from all of the shouting.

It was debatably the hardest thing you had ever dealt with. Your beloved girlfriend cheated on you right in front of your eyes and you had to leave her like that.

Y/N's POV

I should've gotten angrier.. Why did I give her my stupid jacket? Ugh idiot! I knew something was off all along. Why didn't I try to do anything..?

My phone suddenly blew up, reeling me from a bunch of unorganized thoughts as I dragged my feet on the pavement. Who could it be at this hour?

"T" the caller ID appeared as I held my device up.

I hesitated for a split second before picking up. "... Taeyeonnie" I answered with a weak voice.

"Yah! Why does your girlfriend keep calling me?! I can't sleep!" She deafened my right ear, shaving 10 years off my lifespan.

"Taeyeon-ah..." I said softly.

"Bwo?! T-Taeyeon-ah?! Yah kid! I'm three years older than you, got that?!" She screamed through the phone.

I couldn't help but slightly chuckle at her silliness before my eyes welled up again. "Taeyeon-ah.." I said again, voice crackling.

"Y-yah... am I making you cry? I was just pulling your leg, _____-ah." She explained in a soft voice. I could hear how exhuasted she was right now. Damn it Tiffany... of all people to call at this time.

"Can I come over?" I asked with a sudden urge to see her face to face.

"... S-sure _____. I-is everything alright?" She questioned in a concerned tone.

I smiled weakly. "It's nothing. See you in a jiffy... oh- and please just ignore Tiffany."

I hung up and immediately hailed a taxi to make my way over to her place. I absolutely couldn't allow myself be alone right now. I needed a presence.

It took no longer than 15 minutes before arriving in front of Taeyeon's apartment complex. I got out of the taxi, feeling the cold air wrap around my entire body in less than a second.

Holy cannoli it's freezing! I jammed my hands into my skinny jeans and stiffened my body, hopping my way up the stairs in order to build a little bit of heat.

Arriving in front of Tae's door, I reluctantly pulled a hand out from the warmth of my pocket in order to knock on her door. After about 10 seconds, she unlocked and opened it, sending a huge blow of warm air at my face.

I could also smell that she had been baking recently. The sweet aroma entered my nose as I grinned brightly at her milkey white, porcelain face. I probably looked stupid.

"T.." I called her giddily through my two rows of teeth, eyes squinting from smiling so brightly.

She suddenly grabbed my free arm and yanked me into her heated abode. Before I could even react, she turned to lock all of the locks on her door like a pro and then turned back to me with a deadly glare on her face. I tilted my head innocently at her expression.

"Why aren't you wearing a jacket, you pabo!" She shouted in a whisper before running to her room briefly.

She came back out with a fluffy comforter and right away wrapped me in it. I quietly chuckled at her thoughtfulness as she made donuts around me, circling me inside of the blanket.

Post-burrito session, she backed off and took a deep breath before meeting my eyes again. I smirked at her playfully and she lightly slapped my burritoed arm in return, brows furrowed as she chuckled lightly.

Taeyeon's place was warm. It was also dark. She only had one lamp on. If it weren't for a ton of candles, I wouldn't be able to see where I was going.

"W-want something to drink?" She broke the silence, making her way over to the dimly lit kitchen.

"Sure, you wanna make me some coffee?" I asked hopefully, hearing her giggle from the kitchen.

"Only because you're freezing." She replied.

I shuffled my way to the living room and plopped my burrito self on the sofa. Looking around, I found the clock on the wall and realized that it was 4 in the morning.

What am I doing? Tae needs to sleep too..

I scolded myself harshly before resting my eyes a bit. Trying not to think about her, I shook my head repeatedly. Ugh...

Suddenly, I felt a warm hand cupping my cheek gently. "_____-ah... you okay?"

I opened my eyes slowly and looked at Taeyeon. I couldn't help but sigh just by looking at her. Why does she even care? With a little force, I pulled an arm out of the burrito blanket and reached for her soft hand, pulling it away from my skin. Her expression was unreadable, but her eyes.. they were glistening. Why does she care so much? Before I would regret anything, I pulled her into my embrace. I don't want you to pity me, Tae.

She hung her arms around my neck, head plummeting onto my burrito shoulder due to her lack of energy. "It's okay. You don't have to tell me anything." She whispered beside my deafened ear.

It's been a while since we were this intimate with each other. It felt nice but it also felt different than it did when we were younger. I wondered how Taeyeon has been doing. I missed my childhood friend a lot.

We stayed like that for a while before I pulled away. Without any words, I stood up to unwrap myself from the comforter. She got up with me. I dropped the warm blanket on the couch and casually threw an arm around her shoulder, urging her to lead us to the bedroom. I shut the door quietly as she laid down first. Then I made my way around the bed to lay with her. I turned to face her, familiarly wrapping my arms around her small form before closing my eyes. We fell asleep like that.. just like old times..

Taeyeon's POV

A couple of hours later, I woke up first despite being exhausted earlier. _____ was still deep in her sleep. I unconsciously extended my hand out before refraining myself.

She's dating Tiffany, you . The angel on my shoulder reminded me in a crude manner.

As I pull
