In loving memory of...

He sighed as he closed the bright yellow pamphlet for the tenth time that evening. Again and again he found himself opening it for his eyes to just glance over the words, and each time he slapped it shut before they even landed on the name.

Everyone said that he was only in shock.

He needed time.

He'd be okay soon enough.

But, to Hoseok, it certainly didn't feel like just shock.

He had a whirlwind of emotions soaring through him - and shock was not one of them.

Loneliness; because he no longer had his best friend and lover by his side.

Anger; because the reason he was gone was partly due to his own stupidity.

Regret; because Hoseok knew what was going on with him. He saw the signs - every subtle hint.

But, never once did he try to help him. Instead, he sat by idly while the man wasted himself away with long nights of alcohol and drug induced sleep. 

And, he sure loved his sleep.

Every time Hoseok opened his mouth to say something, he always shut it quickly after. He kept telling himself that there was nothing he could do. Things would only get worse if he did. Taking away those things from him would only cause him to feel the pain he was smothering with his harmful addictions.
