plot: the plot of this story is rather simple, basically there's this town favorite autumn carnival that comes around every year and some kids from eden high school get stuck in a room in the carnival's haunted house. ghost boy appears and says hi and tells them that they've been "chosen to complete a task that would save the fate of the dual worlds." he also says that he's a ghost and everyone freaks out because HAHA GHOSTS DON'T EXIST
and the autumn carnival is even put up by eden high school so the kids have to take care of all their duties while also being inconspicuous about saving the world (aka keeping the carnival from flopping)
anyway the whole story is vimaru and the ghost hunters trying to stop janyu's evil plan while also keeping it lowkey as death rolls his eyes at them and calls them out on how stupid they are

setting: this whole shabang takes place in the small but spacious (made-up) town of hoyang, south korea! it is in the jeolla district and is very close to the ocean and looks kinda like the town in nagi no asukara. (if u havent seen this anime then please watch it i beg it is so good)

characters: ages should range from 15 (1st year high school) to 18 (3rd year high school) and to make things a little easier, you don't have to include their birth year in the app. uality doesn't matter so!! try not to make your character too serious and you don't have to try too hard to be funny if it's not your style, just as long as you make a character you feel satisfied with!! dont worry about mary sues, just have fun!

love interests: love interests are applicant x applicant! i left a section for an outline of how you would want your character's relationship to go, but please remember that i can't give you exactly what you want if you're chosen. if you aren't chosen, then you still have a chance at being a minor character (aka a love interest or a friend of someone in the main cast!! or a sibling idk)

tidbits about ghosts that may be interesting to you??maybe:

— ghosts can only be seen by each other and those mr. death allows
— possession is a common trait and only the bad ghosts do that bs bc they think its fun
— being a ghost is basically moping around in the living world but u can float and go through walls without anyone seeing or hearing u; usually ghosts are doing time for leading a horrible life but other times death lets some ghosts hang around their old family for a while as some sort of coping device
— sometimes ghosts moping around are sensed by the living which is why some people think they're being haunted by a ghost (other times, people are just being haunted by guilt or something similar)
— other times ghosts are people who have begged god to ask death for a temporary ghost lease to fulfill something they might have left empty
— ghosts can never remember their real name after they've died, so either death gives them a name, their ghost friend gives them a name, or they float around nameless

— freshman just moved here and decided to try out the haunted house at the carnival...
— friend group comes in as 6...comes out as 5........but the 5 dont notice that someone's gone until the carnival hours are over LMAO
— a kid who keeps asking vimaru to show him pics of his/her dead relatives because for some reason he/she still won't believe that maru is a real ghost
