Snap. Snap.

The sun was beating down and there was a slight breeze. He stepped on the grass gently, pausing every couple of seconds to take a picture of a tree or a squirrel. Glancing at the sky, he suddenly turned around, taking a full view of the park in front of him. There were old grandfathers and grandmothers, harabeojis and halmeonis, sitting in benches and reading the newspaper or casually feeding some birds. Young adults were running and taking a morning jog, and children were laughing and shouting while running around joyfullly. He smiled as two girls came closer to him. One was older, around eleven years old, with long hair and a serious expression, and the other was younger and looked innocent and carefree. The younger one pulled on her sister’s dress. “Unni, what is that man holding?”

He crouched down, grinning.

“This is a camera.” He pointed at the lens.

“My umma says that I’m not allowed to talk to strangers, seonsaengnim.”

“Well, your mother is a very smart person. But I’m not a stranger, I’m a photographer.”

“A photographer?”

“Yes. Point to somewhere.”

The two girls look around, and the younger one finally points to the SM Building. “There. When I grow up, I want to go there, like where my noona is. She is really pretty and sings really well. She is also going to become famous one day. I know she will. That place is going to train her and make her good enough to sing her songs in front of others.”

 He smiles at the girl. He knows another girl who will go through that path, too.

“Watch this. I’m going to use this camera and capture that building. Forever.”

He aims his camera at an angle, trying to capture the trees and the sky that frame the glass building. Satisfied, he clicks the button, and a snap pops from the camera, which slightly startles the girls. “See?” He shows them the picture, which is now on the camera screen. “The building is in here forever. You can delete it if you want to, but if you leave it, it will stay there. You can put it in your pocket and take it with you-it will always been there for you to see. ”

“But, seonsaengnim, does the picture also keep people forever? Why is there a person in the picture?”

A person?

When he took the picture, he didn’t see a person. Having waited until the right moment, until the clearing was free of pedestrians, you only snapped the shot when you felt the timing was right. Looking back at the camera, you squinted at the screen, and saw the faint outline of the person. It was slightly blurry, but it looked like a guy with very feminine features. His hair was swished to the side, and his style was much like the current Korean pop idols-a pretty-boy, or uzzlang. You guessed that it was most likely someone who was a trainee under SM. Shaking your head, he was about to tell the girls that he would take another picture, but they had already left. Grabbing his bag from the grass, he was about to leave, when he looked at the street and saw the same person he had captured in the photo.

That face.

He knew that face. He knew it. It was-

It couldn’t be.

He dropped his camera, and dashed across the park. The girls cried out, “seongsaengnim!” but he ignored them, dashing in front of people who gave him puzzled looks.

Key walked out of the building briskly, imagining a storm billowing behind him. Firstly, a weird girl had to show up and start clamouring about how “he had absolutely no manners,” and “he was just another spoiled rich kid with no taste in music.” Secondly, while she should have appreciated his generosity at even speaking to such a rookie like her, all she did was look at him like he had an infectious disease. He hated her-who was he to insult him? He was the Almighty Key, and he didn’t need this crap from her. After all, he’d just get it from his manager. Growling, Key decided to stop thinking about these problems, and stared at the car in front of him. It had tinted windows, and the cherry red exterior was shiny and looked expensive.

Perfect.

Ducking his head down until it was level with the window, he brushed at his hair, making sure that it looked pleasing. Perhaps he didn’t have his hairstylist here and his favourite product in his bag, but he could at least make it presentable. Picking at stray strands, he smiled, satisfied with his new expression, and turned to the side-

Wham.

A tall boy with long hair collided into him. Looking harried, they stared at each other for a while. Key glanced at him, noticing that he had a handsome, flawless face, much like an idol member. He was dressed in dark, ripped jeans and a t-shirt, and his Nikes looked expensive and brand-new. Was he a trainee in SM? Strangely, if he was, he looked much more well-fed and well-off than most of them. However, before Key could strike up a conversation with him, the boy dashed off. Key glared. Was everyone out to ignore him?

 This was impossible! What was the point of being a celebrity, if no one recognized you?
