The Room
The Blue Eyed GirlBright, shining light was all I could see until my eyes adjusted to it.
“Where am I?” I mumbled still feeling dizzy. I looked around. I was in a small, dusty, dark room where everything looked like it was about to fall. The only source of light was one small window placed high on one of the walls. This place looked like it was taken straight from a horror movie. The walls were full of scratches, holes and there were some fallen bricks here and there like someone was trying to escape. I wouldn’t blame them to be honest.
“Hello!” I shouted, hoping someone would hear me and explain to me where the hell I was “Is someone there? Hello!” Nothing. It looked like I was the only one here. I am not sure if I should be relieved or not by this. I looked around the room once again searching for something to at least help me find out where I was. Strange... There was no door.
“How.. How did I even end up here if there is no door?” I uttered feeling more confused than ever. I tried to remember what happened yesterday and guess what! I couldn‘t remember anything except the name Kang Seulgi which I suppose is mine and the number 16.
“Okay, don’t freak out. I am sure there is an explanation for all this.” I said to myself. Great! Now I even talk to myself. “There should be something to.. the window!” I exclaimed and ran to the wall where the window was placed, hoping I would see where this place was. Sadly the window was too high for me to reach even if I jumped. “I am doomed.” I groaned and just sat on the floor trying to think of an rational explanation to what was happening.
I stayed like this for hours and still nothing came to my mind. Just the name Kang Seulgi and I guess my age – 16.
The room began getting darker. The sun was soon going to set. Strangely I didn’t feel scared. I suppose it’s from the lack of memories that I felt so calm.
