Baby Don't Cry
Eunhyuk’s POV
I don’t know why but I don’t like the fact that Siwon has been talking to Bommie. She can do better than Siwon! Siwon’s one of my best friends but he’s not boyfriend material! He’s a player and he’ll end up hurting Bommie! I didn’t want to hear it anymore so I went to my room to call Sooyoung. Sooyoung always makes me feel better…
“Oppa?”
“Are you busy?” I asked her.
“Ani. Why? Is something wrong?”
“No. I just miss you that’s all.”
“I miss you too oppa. Are you sure there’s nothing wrong with you?”
“I’m sure. What are you doing?”
“Nothing. I’m just on the computer. What are you doing?”
“Nothing. I just got home from a mission.”
“Oh. How’d it go?”
“It went well.”
“You’re not hurt right?”
“Don’t worry… I’m not hurt.”
“That’s good oppa. Are you free tomorrow?”
“Yeah I’m free. Why?”
“Do you want to hang out with me?”
“Sure. What do you want to do?”
“Anything’s fine.” She told me.
“Alright. I’ll see you then.”
“You’re going now oppa?”
“You don’t want me to?”
“Talk with me for a while. I haven’t heard your voice for the whole day and I miss you.”
“I miss you too.”
“You should come over right now if you’re not busy. I have the house to myself.”
“Really? I’ll come over right now. I’ll see you in a bit and I love you.”
“I love you too oppa.”
I grabbed my jacket and headed towards the door. I heard a knock on the door before I could open it. I opened it and saw Haein standing in front of me.
“Oppa where are you going? The food’s ready.” Haein told me while smiling.
“I’m going over to Sooyoung’s. She’s home alone so I’m going to keep her company. You guys just eat. I’ll see you later Haeinnie.” I smiled at her. For some weird reason, I saw Haein’s smile disappear. “You okay Haeinnie?”
“De. Just go oppa. We’ll see you later.” She told me while walking away. That’s weird.
I told the guys I was leaving and headed towards Sooyoung’s place. While I was walking to her place, I couldn’t help but think of Bommie and Siwon. Are they really going out? Is Siwon interested in her and is she interested in him? Bommie… he’s just going to end up hurting you.
“Oppa! You’re finally here.” Sooyoung told me while pulling me into a hug.
“Did you miss me that much” I laughed at her.
“De. I really really miss you!” She told me cutely. I gave her peck on her lips and we headed into her house. “Did you eat yet oppa?”
“Ani. I’m kind of hungry.” I smiled at her.
“I’ll go make you some food. Just wait here and I’ll bring it out.”
I was sitting in her living room watching TV and I noticed my phone ringing. It was Bommie calling! She hasn’t spoken to me in a while… I wonder what happened?
“Hello?”
“What’s your relation to the owner of this phone?” What the. That’s not Bommie’s voice. Why is a man calling on her phone?! What happened to her!?
“I’m her friend. Why?”
“Your friend is drunk and she’s at our bar right now. She’s too drunk to go home by herself and your number was number one on her speed dial. Do you think you can come and pick her up?” She’s been drinking?!
“Where’s your bar at and I’ll be there.”
The person told me the bar’s name and direction and hung up. After he told me the details, I left the house in a hurry. I forgot that I was even with Sooyoung. I didn’t care that I didn’t tell her where I went. All I cared about was getting to Bommie. I arrived at the bar and saw Bommie sitting on a stool. I ran up to her and thanked the worker for calling me.
“Bommie, let’s go.” I put one of her arm around my shoulder and helped her walk out. I thanked the worker and left. “Do you want me to carry you? Can you walk?”
“Lee Hyukjae is that you?” Bommie said.
“Yeah it’s me. Can you walk?” I asked her again. She didn’t answer me so I carried her. “Why’d you drink so much?” No answer again.
I was carrying her for a while and we were half way to her house. She then opened her eyes.
“Put me down.” She ordered me. I did what she wanted and put her down. “Why are you here?” I can tell that she’s still drunk but a bit more sober.
“Someone called me and told me that you were drunk. You skipped class for this?! This is your important business that you had to take care of?! Why are you even drinking in the first place?!” I almost shouted at her. She started hitting my chest and started crying.
“I HATE YOU LEE HYUKJAE. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS DO THIS TO ME?! I’M TRYING TO GET OVER YOU BUT WHY IS IT SO HARD?! WHY OUT OF ALL PEOPLE DID I HAVE TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU!? I TRIED TELLING MY STUPID HEART TO STOP BEATING FOR YOU BUT IT WON’T LISTEN! WHY CAN’T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE SO I CAN MOVE ON?! WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS SO HARD FOR ME!?” She cried. I’m the reason why she’s drinking? So that means she isn’t dating Siwon.
I don’t know why but I pulled her in for a kiss. When we kissed, I felt something that I’ve never felt with Sooyoung. My heart started beating really fast and I enjoyed kissing her. I saw fireworks when I kissed her. I’ve never really saw fireworks when I’m kissing Sooyoung. I pulled her closer to me to deepen the kiss. After a few minutes, I broke the kiss. Our foreheads were touching each other.
“Give me some time to figure out my feelings. When I told you that I couldn’t return your feelings, I was so sure back then. But now, I’m not sure anymore. Just give me time okay?” I told her. She nodded her head and I leaned in to give her another kiss.
Haein’s POV
After Eunhyuk oppa told me he was going to Sooyoung’s, I couldn’t help but feel bummed out. Stupid oppa. Why can’t you figure out your feelings soon?! I just want Bommie to be happy for once. I was sitting on the couch watching TV while the guys were cleaning up.
“What’s with the sigh?” I heard Donghae asking me while he sat next to me. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m just sad that Eunhyuk oppa went to Sooyoung’s place. I know they’re going out but I just want him to realize his feelings soon. I really want Bommie to be happy.” I sighed again.
“Haein, it’s going to take some time. Just be patient okay? And if Bom really likes Eunhyuk then she’ll wait. So don’t worry about it anymore okay?” He told me.
“Okay. It’s just… I don’t know. Why are boys so stupid?” I pouted at him. He just laughed at me and pinched my cheeks.
“Boys aren’t stupid. They’re just slow. There’s a difference.” He smiled at me. “Let’s go to bed now okay? I’m tired.”
“Okay. You go wash up first. I want to finish this show.”
“Alright. I’ll see you in the room.” He gave me a kiss on the cheeks and walked into our bedroom. I felt another body sitting next to me and I saw Minji.
“Hi unnie. Where’s Donghae oppa?”
“He’s getting ready for bed. Where’s Taemin?”
“He’s washing the dishes. Are you going to bed soon too?”
“De. I’m tired. Why?”
“Just wondering. Unnie are you free tomorrow?”
“I am. Why?”
“Do you think you can help me bake a cake for Taemin oppa? It’s our anniversary and I wanted to make him a cake.” Minji smiled at me.
“I’ll help you! I love baking!” I smiled back at her.
“I know. Bommie unnie told me! She told me that you’re a pro.”
“Ani. I’m not a pro. You’ll see tomorrow. Minji ah, I’m going to bed now. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“De. Good night unnie and thanks a lot.”
I walked into our bedroom and saw Donghae already on the bed. He was on his laptop. Once he saw me in the room, he closed his laptop and looked at me.
“Ready to sleep?” He asked me.
“Yeah. Let’s sleep.” I got into bed with him and he offered his arm so I can lay on it. We were cuddling in bed.
“Sweet dreams Haein. Dream of me.”
“You wish Donghae. Sweet dreams.”
Bom’s POV
Oh my goodness. I have such a bad headache! I am never going to drink again. I don’t even know why I drank so much last night! I looked around and I was in my room. Wait.. Who took me home? I had a really weird dream that Hyukjae took me home last night and he kissed me. I need to stop thinking about him. I heard a knock on my door and Hyukjae entered my room with a tray of honey water. WAIT. YESTERDAY WASN’T A DREAM!? IT WAS REAL?! HE KISSED ME?!
“Morning. You’re finally awake. I made you some honey water to get rid of your hang over.” He smiled at me.
“Thanks.” I took the cup from him and drank the water.
“About last night. I meant what I said. Just give me some time Bommie. Let me sort out my feelings.” He told me. So does this mean he has feelings for me then?
“De. I’ll wait for you. I hope you figure them out soon. You should go now… the guys might be worried about you. Thanks for taking me home. Bye Hyukjae.”
“Bye.” He leaned in and kissed me on the cheeks. “I’ll see you later.”
My heart started beating really fast! STUPID HEART STOP BEATING SO FAST. HE DIDN’T PICK YOU YET SO WHY ARE YOU BEAT SO FAST?!
Eunhyuk’s POV
It’s been a week since I kissed Bommie. The kiss made me realize that I have feelings for Bommie but I don’t know who I want to be with. There’s Sooyoung… my first love. And then there’s Bommie… she makes me feel different. Whenever I’m around her my heart starts beating like crazy. My heart doesn’t even do that to Sooyoung. I’ve been talking to Sooyoung less this week because I needed to sort out my feelings. I thought about how I feel when I’m with Sooyoung. When I’m with Sooyoung… I’m happy and I always want to take care of her. I always make sure that she’s eating on time and taking care of herself. I like being around her. She made me feel safe.
Bommie on the other hand… when I’m with her I feel giddy inside and I always want her attention on me. I don’t like it when she gives her attention to someone else. I always want to see her whenever she’s not around. And most of all, my heart does all kind of crazy things when I’m around her. And then I realize that the love I have for Sooyoung is a brotherly kind of love. I realize that I only love Sooyoung as a sister and nothing more than that. I’m in love with Park Bom. I’ve been in love with her since I first saw her! Why did I just realize this now! I know who I want to be with now. I called up Sooyoung and asked if we could meet. We decided to meet at a coffee shop. I got there first and waited for her to come. She came five minutes later.
“Oppa! I’m glad you called! We haven’t spoken to each other that much this whole week.” She pouted at me.
“Sooyoung we need to talk.” I told her.
“Okay. What’d you need to talk about oppa?”
“Sooyoung I’m sorry but let’s break up.” She looked shocked.
“Why? Did I do something wrong oppa? I’ll fix it!” She pleaded with me.
“You didn’t do anything wrong Sooyoung. I just realized the love I had for you is a brotherly kind of love. I’m really sorry Sooyoung.”
“There’s nothing that I can do about it now huh? You only see me as a sister now?” She asked me sadly.
“I’m really sorry. I hope we can be friends but I know that’s asking too much of you. I’m sorry Sooyoung.” I told her.
“W-what made you realize this?” She asked me. I guess I’ll just have to tell her the truth… she’ll find out anyways.
“I fell in love with someone else. I’m sorry. She made me realize what love really is.”
“I-I see oppa. I hope you and her will be happy together. Don’t worry about me oppa… I’ll be fine after a few days.” She smiled weakly at me. “I’ll call you when we can be friends. I’m off now oppa. Have a good life.”
I felt bad that I broke it off like that with her. I’m such a jerk for hurting her like this. I’m sorry Sooyoung… I hope you can find someone better than me. I looked at my watch and saw that it was almost ten pm. Bommie will be out of class soon. I ran towards her school. I’m sorry Bommie that I’m late. I’ll make it up to you.
Bom’s POV
It’s been a week since Hyukjae kissed me and told me that he needed to figure out his feelings. I haven’t told Haein about it. I wanted to but I don’t think I should tell her yet… I’ll tell her after Hyukjae figures out his feelings. I was in class with Haein and we were learning about cooking techniques. I couldn’t concentrate…. I just wanted to know if Hyukjae already figured out his feelings. I wonder who he’s going to pick… He’s probably going to pick Sooyoung since she’s his first love. Sigh.
“Bommie are you alright?” Haein asked me.
“De. I’m fine. Why?”
“You’ve been spacing out a lot. What’s on your mind?”
“Nothing. Let’s focus on the lecture okay?”
“De. You know you can tell me everything.” She pouted at me.
After class was dismissed, Haein and I walked out of the building.
“Oppa? What are you doing here?” I heard Haein asking someone. I looked up and saw Donghae leaning against a wall.
“I wanted to walk with you home.” He smiled at her.
I have to admit… Donghae changed a lot. He’s no longer the cold person… he’s actually a really warm and sweet person… he smiles a lot more now. Haein completely melted him. I think it’s sweet how he’s always waiting for her or how he’s always worried for her. Haein, you’re lucky you found someone as loving as Donghae.
“Hi Donghae.” I told him.
“Hey Bom. I’ll walk you home too. It’s dangerous for you to walk home by yourself.” He told me. He’s sweet.
“Oppa? What are you doing here?” I heard Haein ask someone else now. I turned around and saw Hyukjae. He looked like he was running out of breath.
“What are you doing here Eunhyuk? Why are you out of breath too?” Donghae asked him.
“I ran here that’s why.” He answered them.
“Why did you run here?” Haein asked him.
He just stared at me for a moment and walked up towards me and pulled me in for a kiss. I was shocked at first but returned the kiss after wards. I broke the kiss and looked at him.
“I sorted out my feelings already. I realize that the love I have for Sooyoung is just a brotherly love. You made me realize that. You also made me realize that I’m in love with you. I’m sorry Bommie. I should’ve realized it sooner. I’m sorry for hurting you. I’ll make it up to you now. I promise that I’ll never hurt you. I promise that I’ll always protect you. I love you Park Bom. Be mine?” He told me.
I didn’t say anything and just looked at him.
“Did you change your mind about me already? Is it because I’m a gang member?” He asked me. I don’t know why but I started crying. “Why are you crying?”
“You’re an idiot Lee Hyukjae. I don’t care if you’re a gang member. It’s what you do so I can’t really stop you. Being a gang member doesn’t define who you are. I hate you for making me wait for you so long. I hate you for not realizing your feelings so soon! You made me go through hell. You better keep your promise! You better not make me cry anymore… you better protect me from now on because I’m giving you my heart Lee Hyukjae. I love you and I’ll be yours.” I told him. He smiled and pulled me into a hug.
“I love you so much Bommie. I want you to know that. I’ll never hurt you again… I’ll make it up to you for making you wait so long.”
“Get me corn then if you want to make it up to me.” I told him and he started laughing.
“You want corn when you can ask for anything?” He tightened the hug.
“I want corn!”
“Anything for my goddess.” He broke the hug and gave me a quick peck on the lips. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
“AHHHH YOU GUYS ARE FINALLY TOGETHER! ABOUT TIME OPPA! WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG TO REALIZE YOUR FEELINGS FOR MY BOMMIE?!” I heard Haein squealing. Woops, we forgot that they were here.
“Took you long enough. You just won me 100 bucks!” Donghae told Hyukjae.
“Wait. Why?!” Hyukjae asked him.
“The guys and I made a bet. They betted that you won’t realize your feelings for Bom by this year. I betted that you’ll realize your feelings for her before the year ends.” He smiled at Hyukjae.
“Split it! I helped you win!”
“Fine fine. I’ll give you half.” Donghae told him. “Well you can walk Bom home now since you’re her boyfriend. And congrats to the both of you.” He smiled at us. Him and Haein walked off holding hands.
“Ready to go?” I heard Hyukjae asking me. I nodded my head and he took my bag with one hand and held my hand with the other. I can’t believe that I’m with Lee Hyukjae now. I can’t believe that he loves me. Thank you Lee Hyukjae for giving me a chance to love you and thank you for loving me.
