She sat beside him, watching him ruining himself with all kind of types of alcohol. It was a bright afternoon and yet, it felt like late at night in that room; dark and gloomy, as if no one is living there. She watch him breaking down in tears once in a while, no matter how much she wants to stop and hug him, she can't.

She was startled by how everything has changed in a month, how the apartment used to be so lively and bright but now it's so gloomy, how the person she loves used to be so cheerful but she never saw him smile now, how his eyes used to sparkle so bright but now its dark and empty, how he rarely even drink alcohol but now he had drank all sorts of it that could last him for the next 50 years, and how the apartment used to be so loud; laughter filling the air and music playing non-stop but now it's just dead silent.

He kepts on repeating this one sentence; "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you", although it wasn't his fault and he shouldn't blame himself, but he couldn't stop it, because he could have stop all of these from happening.

A photo of her smiling was placed on the table in front of him, and every time he looks at it, he gave such a painful smile.
