MinSeok’s POV

“I’ll pick you up at the salon later at 4:30 sharp.” I told her as I bid goodbye to her 

“No need MinSeok-ssi. Let’s meet there at the hotel. I have my car with me. Don’t bother.” She politely refused as she bowed before she rode to her car

I watched her leave as her car was no where to be seen, We decided to be friends despite the annulment that we are preparing, but for one I will grant her request, I will not let her all face all the angers and disappointments of the people around us, well in fact I’m the one who cause us to be like this, She had been part of my life too

I walked around the garden and sat on the edge of the pool, dipping my legs down as I reminisce our time together when we are still friends before turned to lovers, The A-Lites which our families are member of the said circle of the richest family in the society, We grow up together, We studied and graduated at the same school that made us even closer by seeing each other everyday, How beautiful she is and her heart of course, She always have soft spot to poor children, She manages to open an orphanages after we graduated, Her love for children is amazing but unfortunately her love to them is not enough for her to bear one, We only find out after trying to have one for a year, And finding out she can’t even one child really broke my heart into pieces, All married couples want to have child, I’m longing for one, God knows I tried to understand her but my passion to be a father is drifting her away from me, Even now I still wishing for miracles to happen so that we can’t ending up hurting and leaving each other

I didn’t noticed that I’m crying, Why do this miserable thing needs to happen to us, We both do good all our lives and still we ended up suffering instead

I closed my eyes and saw Jin’s face and when we both heard the worst news in our life, That she is unable to get pregnant because of complications in her ovaries, She had regular monthly period but the eggs she produce is not enough to develop and carry a baby,We are devastated, to the point We fought everyday, Always ending up hurting her and made me to divert my attention to someone else, making me to have an affair, betraying my marriage to Jin

I’m not the person who can give her happiness, and She is not the one who can complete me as a man but I always praying to God, that even we are not together anymore, She can meet someone who can love her like she do

I’m waiting for her at the lobby of the hotel, its 5:25 already, I’m waiting for her patiently, As she requested we need to act like our old selves in front of people, Hands in my pocket as I looked at the grandfather’s clock on top of the entrance, then the door opens that made me divert my attention to the person who entered, I can see that all eyes on her, Who wouldn’t if you are looking perfectly fine with your hair set up in a perfect big curly waves that falls at the center of your back, bouncing every time you make a step, the black heart-tube dress showing off your milky white skin and perfect structure of your collarbones that was really captivating, and the slit on the right side of the dress that starts on your thigh down to your feet with luxurious heels, showing your smooth and perfectly sculpted legs and your simple make up that matches with a deep red lipstick on your lovely lips made you stood out effortlessly

Jin made her way to my side, I was lost for a moment before offered my arms to her and she gladly took it, We both went to the elevator and went to the said floor of the event

As we are the only persons in the elevator, her elegant smile turned into a sad one, She didn’t noticed i was looking at her and saw her kind of lost, I followed the direction she was looking at, And she was looking at our reflection on the mirror inside the elevator,We really do compliment each other 

“Are you alright?” I asked her

She just looked at me when she heard me asked and just let out a small smile, We went out the elevator,We are assisted to the venue and all of the members of the A-lites are there, From the different fields and CEO with their wives and children that we are friends with most of them

We made our way to our assigned seat, of course with Jin’s family, She greeted her mother and gave her a kiss on the cheeks, same with me of course, She greeted her father and brother Jin Goo Hyung with Ji Won Noona. 

We all seated down after the greetings as the MC started the party, Everyone was having a good time as the MC gagged from time to time, My arms are around Jin’s, the acting we have talked about, I asked her  if she feel cold but she always answered with a simple reply that she is alright

We have just our dinner and the waiters are now serving wines to the guest, As the MC requested Eommo-nim to the stage and have a simple message to all the guest before she make a wish and blow her candles

One by one the Mc asked for the message of her husband, from his son and  now Jin’s, who I helped to go the stage before I went back to my seat, Flashes of camera captures us together

She took the microphone and greeted shyly the guests that makes her cute and adorable at the same time, She first thanked all the guest for their time spending it with her mother’s special day before she started her message

“Eomma…” She called wit her aegyo voice that made everyone smiles on her adorableness 

“Happy Birthday to you, I know you are very busy but sometimes I bother you with my childishness, Its just I miss you that’s why, I came from you, and you raise me well with Appa, You give everything to me: all the things in this world, I can’t ask for more, All I want is you become more healthy and live a longer life so I can spend more time with you…” She said teary-eyed

She looked at our table and smile to her father and the rest of her family members then she looked at me lovingly before she made out a short sighed and continue

“Eomma, MianHe. I can’t be like you, What I mean is I can’t be mother like you, Its not new to everyone right, Our pact, The A-lites, I know that you know what I have gone to, My husband had gone to; for supporting me and understands my weakness. XiuMin Oppa is the greatest thing happened to me, but I can’t give him what a man really needs, although unfortunate things happened they support me to have an orphanages of my own, to take care of children who happens to be abandoned
