Paper Roses

“If you wanna give her something that signifies forever, just give her paper flowers, idiot. Flowers wither away with the weather, paper won’t. At least, not that fast…” Eunji gave a sweet smile of tease on her best friend before her expression quickly changed into a scowl of disgust and buries herself in focus of throwing a baseball in the wall and catching it back. “Ah… I don’t even know why I’m helping you. You should really take me out on a date Friday night…”

Yoon Bomi can’t help but shake her head in protest. “I can’t take you out. I’m planning to take Naeun out on a dinner the same night…”

“Ouch… You didn’t just break my heart, Yoon Bomi…you smashed it to pieces…” Eunji dramatically enacted, even holding her chest as if she got shot from there in which Bomi just laughed at. She knew it, that her words stung her best friend at least; however the guilt really didn’t eat her up. Not that she’s trying to ignore it or at least pretend that her best friend was not in love with her and was just joking around, it’s just Eunji knows very well how to handle pain. She’s been in something so deeply excruciating that she even doubt if something low as those words would actually affect her. She didn’t know of course… It has been a long time since they were friends, and yet there are some things she can’t still figure out about Jung Eunji.

But going back to her dilemma from a moment ago, Bomi collapsed in the gym’s floor and sighed, frustratingly scratching her head in stupidity for she still can’t figure out how to ask Naeun on a date, and make sure she’ll say yes.

“You know, you don’t really have to trouble yourself so much. Son Naeun will say yes, okay?” Eunji frustratingly told her too. Seeing her best friend fuss about something as low as that starts to get to her too. “Just be yourself and go over Son Naeun. Stop moping around here and being an idiot…”
