With her two feet stepping on the pedals, she maneuvered her Wireless Segway through the outskirts of the city. She didn’t bother the people coming back and forth, didn’t even care when she almost run into people she didn’t notice. She was just absentmindedly moving around, trying to get her mind straight. She wanted to set free for a while, get away from the world she knew. The world was both cold and dark for her, something like a poison seeping in , suffocating her until she doesn’t want to live anymore. She still hasn’t reached that point, but she sure is close enough already.

It was few moments when she finally stopped her Segway and left looking at one girl from a distant that she didn’t expect to see, but wished for at least.

Son Naeun may not be the best person on her list, but at least she knows that the said girl will amuse her, like how she always does.

Sure, Jung Eunji is helplessly in love with her best friend… but at least, she knows that Son Naeun was even more helpless.

Son Naeun, who was walking to the path Eunji just took, stopped her tracks at the sight of the girl right in front of her. In the past eighteen years of the girl, she has never expected to see the latter in such a state. The state of complete confusion, blank and loneliness… For her, Eunji was a bright kid, who is easily entertained by other people’s mistakes, clumsy mistakes. Being entertained, having fun, that was completely different from being happy though. Completely different, needless to say.

“W-what are you doing here?” Naeun can’t help but mutter the question at the girl right in front of her. The city lights were bright that night, and she was holding unto a pack of some food and canned beer, not that she’s gonna drink it anyway. It was for her father.

Eunji didn’t answer as she pedaled the Segway much closer to Naeun, a smile growing faintly into her lips.

“Hmmm… We’ve met twice today… I think its fate.” Eunji muttered in amusement, he
