That Merman Who Once Loved Me
Description
Do you remember that one fairy tale kids have read over and over again when they were just little kids? Yes, that one fairy tale where there's this really good-looking prince who fell in love with that mermaid who has red hair, do you remember it? Now, imagine their roles being reversed.
"In the end, she loses the prince and she turns into sea foam" (The Little Mermaid, Andersen 1837)
Will their story end up the same?
Or will they have a happily ever after together in the end?
Foreword
You must be wondering what lies within the deep and "bottomless" sea and think that there is nothing but bare yellow sand.
We'll I'm telling you now: you're wrong.
In fact, the most singular flowers and plants grow there; their leaves and stems which are so colorful and pliant that even the slightest agitation of water causes them to stir as if they are alive. Fishes and other, both small and large in size, glides gracefully between the branches.
And in the deepest part of it is where my father's kingdom lies.
I, the eldest son, who is the successor of the current king have been living in this beautiful and peaceful kingdom for around twenty years but on the night of my twenty-first birthday, I started to want more.
I wanted to explore near the surface where I can see light—where I can see beings very much alike to us, less the the tail of being a merman.
And on the night where my father's kingdom was busy due to the revelry of my supposed birthday, I decided to escape to have some lone time for a while.
And mainly, to see if the night on the surface is as beautiful as it is during the day.
But what I saw is more beautiful, more dazzling than the day and night on the surface. I saw a living being—what does my grandmother call their kind again? Humans. Yes, it was a human—looking down the sea and I knew she saw me but I panicked and swam deeper into the sea, my heart thumping wildly against my chest.
I wanted to see her again.

This is xiustyle (formerly joker891912) and I'm back to writing!
As you all can see, I'm writing another fantasy story (though TCF isn't done yet) which will feature mainly EXO's Xiumin and Baekhyun with an original character! You have to guess who the merman will be between Xiumin and Baekhyun, though :D
Most probably, this story will be updated every Sundays (because it's the only day I'm free). Unless, I got the time to write it during my free times on the weekdays.

This is purely from my imagination (which just came up last night before I went to bed lol) and borrowed some ideas from, well, The Little Mermaid.
