HEATHENS :| |: MAKE WAY FOR A NEW GROUP OF HEROES.i.(part one)
let's get this crap show started
"Is anyone else hoping that this is just some horrible joke from Fury?" Tony asked as he poured himself a cup of coffee. Wanda rolled her eyes at him for the tenth time this week. All he had been doing was complain and complain since Fury dumped the files of ten (TEN!) criminal metahumans. Stark never usually shut up about anything but this, he really could not shut up about how ridiculous the whole idea is and how all ten of the criminals can't do any good in the world even if they had bombs in their necks.
It made Wanda think that not too long ago she was against the Avengers but now couldn't be happier being part of the team. It also made her think back to Sokovia; how her home was destroyed by Ultron and almost lost her brother in the process. Pietro had gotten severely injured protecting a young child from getting shot. She wanted to kill him for putting himself in the line of fire so recklessly but was happy that her other half did not die in her arms.
"We just have to deal with it, Tony. There's no way out of it. Maybe they won't be so bad. I mean look at the twins, they're part of the team now." Steve said as he nodded his head to the twins; Wanda sitting at the conference table with Pietro standing right behind her with one hand on her shoulder. The twins were never more than a few feet apart in the compounds; it made Steve smile seeing how close the two were. The twins truly were a success story for the Avengers. They went from bad guys to becoming Avengers. Steve pondered if maybe that's why the team was being asked to take on this task.
"They're different! They weren't hardened criminals, these guys are! Well, I should say women. We're only getting two male metahumans. So let's make sure that we have a good amount of pads and tampons stocked up when that time of the month comes." Tony remarked as pictures of all ten metahumans ran through his head. He had been wishing for the past week that Fury would call and just say that it was all just a prank to get Tony's blood pressure going but that call hasn't come.
"Mr. Stark, they have arrived." F.R.I.D.A.Y, echoed in the room. Everyone froze in their positions. The time had arrived for the metahumans to inhabit the compounds. Tony and Steve made eye contact, acknowledging the moment of whatever was to come from all of this.
"Alright, let's go greet the new recruits." Steve motioned for everyone to follow him. Everyone included himself, Tony, the twins, Vision, Romanoff, Clint, Wilson, Rhodey, Bucky and Banner. After reading all their files, they figured it would be best for (almost) everyone to be present on the first day just in case something went wrong. They didn't know how powerful each were and so
"You mean the deranged clown, fairy, two assassins, shadow boy, she-devil, Thor's fiance, Sparky, cat lady, and bookworm." Tony sarcastically commented as he walked beside Steve. The others simply rolled their eyes. "Remind me again why we haven't told Thor about his evil wife-to-be?" Wilson questioned.
"Hey boss lady, why am I the only one in a strait-jacket?" Jae hisses as she steps out from the van, fidgeting in the jacket.
"For safety reasons." Waller calmly responds as she lightly pushes her to keep moving to let the others exit. Amanda had been in the car with all ten criminals for the past two hours and she could not wait to rid them off her custody.
After all of them had gotten out of the vehicle, Waller made them stand next to each other to form a line for head count, "Alright, head count. When I call your name, just say present or whatever." Amanda instructs looking at the list of names on her clipboard:
"Giselle."
"Here."
"Lucius."
"Here ma'am."
"Eve."
"Present."
"Raaya."
"Purresent." Amanda glared at her while the others smirked at the feline's remark.
"Furaha."
"Here."
"Hella."
"Sadly I am here."
"Gramercy."
"Bite me."
"Selina."
"Kill me."
"Robin."
"May I also be killed?"
"All of you-"
"HEY YOU FORGOT ABOUT ME!" Jae interrupted.
"No one forgets you." Waller glared at the clown. She was met with a devious smile from the woman.
"Awe, same goes for you, dollface." Jae cooed before sending a wink and kiss in Waller's direction.
"As I was saying...All of you were chosen to work with the Avengers. This does not mean that you're free to do whatever. You'll all be living here in the compounds and confined to this area alone. There isn't a city nearby for miles which is perfect for you. You will not be allowed to roam wherever you wish without the supervision of an Avenger. You've all got lengthy prison sentences and so you'll be working and training to go on missions when needed. Fail missions, you won't get any time off your sentences. Complete missions then some time will be taken off and possible requests can be made. If you haven't noticed, you are all wearing metal bracelets. These bracelets are tracking devices. I can always know where you are so don't think I'm not watching. If I find out you're fleeing from the compounds, you will be detained and sent back to Korea to rot." Waller sternly explained. She saw all their faces change to either confusion or frustration. "Any questions?"
"Why? Why us and why now?" Eve asked as her arms folded arcoss her chest.
"I think you guys can provide intel on the criminal mind and can actually be of use to the Avengers. You've all have something that they don't. Experience." Waller explained.
"Miss Waller...is this all of them?" Steve called as he and the others walked up to Amanda.
"They're yours now, Captain," Waller motioned to the line of heathens., "Their belongings from when they were incarcerated will arrive later today."
"Hey Cap, next time, wear some tighter pants. Wanna see if it's true about that sweet a-- of yours." Jae smirked, eyeing the captain like he were her prey. Steve felt very uncomfortable under her gaze, afraid that she would break away from the strait-jacket to attack him.
"Do you have a muzzle?" Tony asked.
"Awe sorry, puddin' did I hurt your ego? You got a nice too." Jae commented back, putting on an innocent face despite her scar.
"Can you take her back?" Tony whispered to Waller, feeling just as uncomfortable.
"She's your problem now, Mr. Stark. Have fun." Waller smirked as she walked away and hopped back into the truck, driving away into the distance. Tony sighed in defeat before composing himself to look at the ten metahumans.
"Alright, let's just get this over with. Follow me. Oh, the clown goes in the back of the line! Romanoff, Roadrunner, and Wilson stay by her. Welcome home." Tony sighed as he began leading the line of criminals into the compounds.
"Is Thor coming?" Hella asked as she began walking.
"I wouldn't count on it, sweetheart." Tony remarked, continuing to walk causing Hella to sigh in frustration.
