Detective Jongin and Mr. Hide

Description

Jongin, a bright-eyed, FBI agent hunts for the notorious criminal Kai. Kai laughs every time he runs away a free man. The detective will never be able to catch himself.

Foreword

FBI’s most wanted criminal Kai has gotten away with yet another crime. Yesterday morning on the 300 block of Main Street, the male was caught on surveillance breaking into the local bank, running off with over $200,000 in cash. Authorities report that the criminal escaped before they could arrive to the scene.

“How do we always miss this guy?” Jongin’s superior, Minseok, asked as he smacked a newspaper onto a nearby desk.

Jongin sighed and turned off the television set in the office. “It’s like he’s a ghost or something. Always slips past security, never gets seen by any witnesses. We just can’t win!”

“We’ll get him someday. We’re not in the FBI for nothing.”

“Any leads?” Jongin’s coworker and fellow field agent, Junmyeon waltzed over to the pair.

“Nope. Still the same information since the first crime. Blonde hair and dark clothes,” Minseok groaned. “I swear if this doesn’t get better I’m transferring departments. Screw hacking I need to be in the field to drop kick this guy myself.”

“I think our team can handle this ourselves, right Jongin? Besides, we can’t put our best hacker in the danger zone.”

“He’s right Minseok-hyung. We need you alive,” Jongin chimed in with a chuckle.

“Alright, but don’t hesitate to call me when you catch him,” Minseok looks at the clock. “It’s getting pretty late anyway. I’m calling it a night. See you tomorrow.”

Minseok picked up his jacket from his desk chair and wrapped it around his body as he approached the department door. He stepped out of the glass doors of the Criminal Department but not before Junmyeon could speak. “Bright and early!”

“I’ll be heading out too, hyung. See you in the morning,” Jongin gathered his papers and neatly placed them in his shoulder bag.

The agent walked a few feet before holding his head in pain. He felt a sharp prick in the front section of his head, and his vision faltered for a short moment.

“Jongin, don’t forget your medicine!”

Ah right, his migraine medication. He almost forgot the bottle.

“Thanks hyung.”

“What would you do without me?”

Jongin chuckled, “Crash and burn. See you later.”

Jongin took a pill out of the bottle and dry swallowed the capsule. At least the pain will be gone for a few hours.

He stepped outside of the FBI building into the moonlight. He took a deep breath and peered up at the illuminated sphere in the sky. Another headache, worse than the previous one, caused the male to stagger backwards and collapse on the sidewalk.

Sorry Jongin, it’s my turn to play.
