“It’s time for your bandages to be changed,” Wonwoo says, looking down at his clipboard. He checks off one of the boxes with a pencil before glancing up again. As usual, Mingyu is hidden under a pile of pillows. Wonwoo laughs and walks over to the bed, pulling one of the pillows away to unveil the sulking boy underneath.

“Go away, Wonwoo,” Mingyu hisses at the nurse as he’s helped into a sitting position. It doesn’t matter that his ribs are still bruised, fractured and pressed painfully against his lungs, or that his shoulder is still marginally dislocated— Mingyu doesn’t need help, especially from Wonwoo.
