Kyungsoo knew he was handsome. He could feel the eyes turning to him and linger longer than necessary although it might have been due to his royal station. He liked the power surging in his body whenever he put more effort into looking good. He usually did not have a reason for dressing up or spending more time than necessary under the skilled hands of his hairdresser. These days, however, a certain alpha was paying more attention to him although it might have all been due to the post heat phase and the possibility of a pregnancy that locked the alpha’s assessing eyes on him whenever he was in the king’s vicinity. He still enjoyed the alpha’s undivided attention while he could have it. Yearned it with his entire soul and he was definitely influenced by the intimacy of the heat. So, he was putting his wardrobe in good use. He was even indulging in a little face paint to emphasise his features. A little coal at the corners of his round eyes. A little dab of ruby lip paint to make his pout redder and some perfume that enhanced his natural omega scent.
The alpha had yet to disappoint him.

The omega prince was wearing a golden robe that day. It was specially tailored to emphasis his narrow waist and the perky curve of his bottom. His hair was skillfully tied in a half up with a matching golden hairpiece and the length of his hair reached under his waist. He was well overdue for a haircut but the king was so keen on playing with his hair during the heat that he could not convince himself to cut it short.

He knew he looked like a snack when he was pretending to read in the royal library and when he met with the chef to plan the menu of the king’s birthday ball. He was even excited for his meeting with the royal seamstress to get his measurements updated and discuss the design of his gown for the event. He decided on pale blue silk and sheer satin to contrast with his husband’s dark blue robes.
He had a long day when he finally returned to his chambers. He was reading a book on a species of orchid that general Oh had gifted him to figure out how to not kill the plant when his maid walked in.

“The king has come to visit you, your grace.”

Kyungsoo looked up. He was startled. It was a first to welcome the king at night when he was not in heat.

“Would you like me to help you prepare your grace? Shall I tell his majesty to wait while you are getting ready?”

“Huh?! I can make him wait?” Kyungsoo was surprised. He was not expecting to be able to make the alpha wait. He assumed that he could not deny the alpha of what he desired and was rightfully his to take. His mind went blank for a second before it started functioning again.

“No, let him in.”

With that, the maid left quickly and the king was guided in. He was wearing his comfortable night clothes under a larger robe. So, he was there to spend the night after all.

Kyungsoo stood up. He had a duty to welcome his husband and make him as comfortable as he could. He walked to the alpha still clad in his golden day attire. He went closer than he had to and bent his neck to look in the alpha’s eyes as he reached out with unsure but determined hands to remove the ties of his outer robe. The robe looked extremely heavy and it could not have been possibly comfortable.
The king stared into his eyes. Their height difference making it even more intense.

“You looked mesmerising today.”

Kyungsoo looked down and blushed. He fumbled with the ties until they were loose and the alpha covered his shaking hands with his own.

“I did not come here expecting us to lay together.” The king whispered.

“And?”

“God, I want you.”

“Why did you come?” Kyungsoo asked bluntly.

“I don’t even know. I…”

“Shh…” Kyungsoo put a finger on the king’s face to silence him. “It’s okay. You have this. You can want me. You just have to take what’s rightfully yours.”

Later that night they were sweaty and relaxed as they were laying under the duvet and the king had Kyungsoo safely tucked in his arms.

“This is dangerous.”
