The king shoved the male out of his lap. He was afraid. Prince Kyungsoo saw him with a beta, and even though they weren’t in a romantic relationship yet he still felt guilty, as if he was betraying the omega.

“Get off of me!” he shouted at the male angrily.

“Afraid of your little , aren’t you?”

“Watch your mouth, Taemin! Look what you have done! He is going to get the wrong idea now.”

Taemin laughed devilishly. “I bet he is not too mad that a good long knotting won’t fix the situation for you, friend.”

“We are not friends.” The king stated.

“No, we are not.” Taemin replied bitterly.

“Send my regards to lord Lee. I will consider increasing the trades at the northern border.”

“Thank you, your highness.”

“If I see you here ever again I will break all ties I have with your father. Your behaviour today was very unacceptable.”

“I won’t jump you ever again. I promise Jongin.”

“You better remember that.”

“Don’t worry about me. Shouldn’t you be running after your mate if he is that precious?”

“I will.” Jongin replied with a loud, tired exhale. It won’t be an easy task.

There was a scroll left on the floor.

Nobody had seen Kyungsoo. He was nowhere in the palace, and they have even searched the kitchen storage and the old dungeons. The king was losing his hope of ever finding him. The omega had dropped a letter before running off, his father in law was going to reach the palace at any second and find his son missing. He was going to die. Kyungsoo’s father was very scary.

He was pacing the room when the general of palace guards approached him nervously.

“Your majesty?”

“Yes?”

“Your brother has returned.” He had two brothers, surprisingly he was the youngest one of them. The oldest was a beta named Junmyun and the second was an omega called Jongdae. Being the only alpha, made him the sole heir for the throne. Junmyun was the most educated trained one among them even before his body started to show his alpha status therefore, Junmyun was originally trained to inherit the throne. At that time, he was definitely not ready. He still depended on his oldest brother a lot up to that day whenever things got hard.

“Whom?”

“Prince Junmyun, your highness.” The guard hesitated for a few seconds as if contemplating whether or not to say something.

“And?”

“He came back from a hunt in the mountains, your highness. He has brought an injured wolf with him, your majesty.”

“I don’t see the problem.”

“The wolf is quite impressive my lord. Massive with thick, black fur. It is bigger than any purebred wolf we have seen my lord. I dare say it may be as big as his majesty’s wolf form if not bigger.” It was interesting indeed.

“It refuses to shift, my lord. The gate guards are not allowing it to enter the palace grounds but your brother won’t leave the wolf outside. He won’t allow the guards to force the omega to shift as it has sprained its foreleg. Prince Junmyun has ordered his men to stay before the gates as long s the entry to the wolf is not granted. But your highness, we can’t possibly let somebody enter the palace unidentified.” Omega? Could it possibly be... Kyungsoo?

“Where are they now?”

“Still at the gate your highness.”

The wolf was protected by a group of Junmyun’s betas as the prince was stubbornly arguing with the guards. The beta’s sour mood changed when he saw his youngest brother approaching.

“Oh, your highness, it’s great that you came.”

“Is that the wolf?” He got straight to the point.

“Yes. He needs medical help, you have to tell the guards to let him in.” He eyed the wolf carefully. It could not be Kyungsoo.
