The three of them didn’t stay together long; Zoie had to be at the Mission campus for her next class. Skye and Naiara were left to entertain one another – Naiara didn’t have anywhere to go for a couple hours – so Naiara opted to accompany Skye to the Apple store on Chestnut Street in Cow Hollow, to get the graduation present for Kaito’s little brother.   There was traffic on Divisadero Street; Naiara settled into the driver’s seat of her car, resting her head back on the headrest as she inched down the street toward the red light.   “You’re really going to spend $2,000 on a laptop for that boy?” she inquired after a moment.   “Well, yeah,” Skye answered after a while. “I mean he’s graduating at the top of his class so he’s earned it, and I haven’t spent any of the money I got from Kire Na, or the advance from the anime, except for bills and student loans.”   “Hey, it’s your money. I’m just saying, I’m with Kaito; he would’ve been just fine with a Dell.” Skye laughed a little, shaking her head in Naiara’s peripheral vision. They continued onward, past Geary Boulevard.   “So you seemed kind of testy back there at the restaurant,” Skye began after a moment; Naiara knew she would bring it up sooner or later. “Is everything okay?”   “Why wouldn’t everything be okay?”   “You almost bit Zoie’s head off.” Naiara sighed, hitting her hand against the steering wheel lightly. “You said something about things messing up between you and Matthew…”   “I think that Matthew is

Chapter 13: Sweet. I like how you show glimpses of all the characters lives randomly. Kaito is right. There is no need to rush.

Chapter 12: But Naiara, just pushed Matthew away instead of asking him about this "other woman". She just literally has poor communication skills. If you want to know something just ask. You don't let it just slip through your hands without knowing the truth.

I swear she is so muleheaded. She letting thought and not proof get in her way. Really, she is getting in her own way.

Chapter 11: Great! This update was sweet. I like how her relationship with her soon to be in laws has progressed in a very positive way. You see Sumire and Takeshi, Black girls don't bite.

I like the progression of the mothers relationship as well. It is very nice when the matriarchs can have a congenial relationship as well. I really like this family gathering. It is so important to be good to each other. Welcome back Authornim. It has been a pretty good while since "I seent" ya in these streets.

Chapter 6: I don't believe Matthew is cheating (too easy under the circumstances IMO), but there is definitely something going on. He needs to open up, and Nai needs to stop jumping to conclusions. Communication is the key. :)

Chapter 6: I think Naiara needs to ask Matthew instead of speculating. Even though gut instincts are the truth. He could be. But who knows?
