Naiara’s stomach was growling incessantly as she pulled up to the curb outside of Greenburger’s, on Haight Street. From the moment she got up that morning she had been running all over the city, in and out of meetings and stores for her client; not once had she stopped to get anything to eat and she was ravenous, and grateful for this lunch with her friends.   She got out and locked her car, venturing into the restaurant; she spotted Skye and Zoie already seated at a table, talking amongst each other as they waited for her. Immediately Naiara made her way over, setting her bag down in one of the empty seats and catching their attention.   “Alright, what’s everybody’s order?” she demanded, pulling out her wallet. “I’m paying; make it quick.”   “Um…the chef salad?”   “The turkey club.”   “Alright.” Naiara made her way up to the cash register and immediately ordered, adding in an order of meatball Parmesan pasta for herself. It took an agonizing twenty minutes for their food to be prepared but finally it was ready; Naiara quickly retrieved the tray of food, carrying it back to their table.   “Somebody’s hungry,” Skye observed amusedly, taking her turkey club and placing it in front of her.   “I’m starving,” Naiara said, taking a seat and picking up her fork. “I haven’t eaten all day.”   “Busy day?” Zoie inquired, mixing up her salad with her fork.   “To say the least,” Naiara said with a sigh, taking a bite of her food and sighing with relief as she chewed. “I’ve been all over the damn place today.”   “Well enjoy that spaghetti,” Skye said with a smirk. “You deserve it.”   “Mm…” Naiara took another bite of her food. “So what’s been going on?”   “Eh,” Skye said with a shrug. “I’m going to go pick up Eiji’s graduation present later on, but that’s about it; nothing special.”   “You decided on the Macbook?” Zoie inqui

Chapter 13: Sweet. I like how you show glimpses of all the characters lives randomly. Kaito is right. There is no need to rush.

Chapter 12: But Naiara, just pushed Matthew away instead of asking him about this "other woman". She just literally has poor communication skills. If you want to know something just ask. You don't let it just slip through your hands without knowing the truth.

I swear she is so muleheaded. She letting thought and not proof get in her way. Really, she is getting in her own way.

Chapter 11: Great! This update was sweet. I like how her relationship with her soon to be in laws has progressed in a very positive way. You see Sumire and Takeshi, Black girls don't bite.

I like the progression of the mothers relationship as well. It is very nice when the matriarchs can have a congenial relationship as well. I really like this family gathering. It is so important to be good to each other. Welcome back Authornim. It has been a pretty good while since "I seent" ya in these streets.

Chapter 6: I don't believe Matthew is cheating (too easy under the circumstances IMO), but there is definitely something going on. He needs to open up, and Nai needs to stop jumping to conclusions. Communication is the key. :)

Chapter 6: I think Naiara needs to ask Matthew instead of speculating. Even though gut instincts are the truth. He could be. But who knows?
