Somehow these kind of scenarios only happens greatly in the movies wherein the hero would jump and save the love interest in distress in the hands of the evil gang members that threaten to hurt and harass every weak person they see. He imagines himself jumping in and saving day with his Hapkido skills but then only thing that hinders that is his small frame compared to the evil gang members who’s so goddamn tall.

Which results to this.

“Okay, okay, guys… can we – woah!” Baekhyun managed to evade the supposed kick by this jock from his stomach and took a few steps backward. “That is not cool, man. You could’ve hurt yourself with that giant foot of yours! I mean, finals is coming this month and we don’t want coach to –“

“Shut it, squirt.” Siwon growls and grabs him by the shoulder. Baekhyun nervously laughs.

Let’s rewind for a minute so that you all can understand why this happened.

You see, Baekhyun is kind of, sort of, a little bit of infatuated with that freshman with big eyes and full heart-shaped mouth. Ever since he saw him timidly making his way towards the cafeteria line, Baekhyun thinks that wow, okay, so this is love.

“You look stupid.” Chanyeol whispers.

“I do not!” Baekhyun exclaims. “Look stupid. I look far from stupid. You… are… crazy, woman!”

But he does look stupid, Baekhyun knows that. If raising your voice in the cafeteria is the only way to make this cute freshman notice you in the room full of students is considered stupid, then yes, Baekhyun is stupid. But he doesn’t want to admit that out loud, much less admit that to Chanyeol. He’ll never let go of it and brand it to Baekhyun until he’s eighty.

Their supposed high school romance should be the most romantic thing that ever happened in the world (not to mention cliché.) Baekhyun is in his junior year in high school and Kyungsoo freshmen. They’re in the same school club and they once performed a duet in front of the crowd at the school festival. A typical high school romance indeed. The major flaw however is that Kyungsoo is an antisocial person and he doesn’t want anyone nearing his personal space. (He can get cranky about it)

Probably the reason why he’s always the first target to get picked on.
