Byun Baekhyun has always been popular.

The problem is, being popular doesn't mean people really like you, it just means you stand out. Sometimes the reason you stand out isn't even a good one.

Loud. The one word Baekhyun keeps hearing about himself. He's popular sure, but it's easy to intimidate or annoy people when you seem obnoxious.

On the inside, Baekhyun isn't any of those things.

On the inside Baekhyun has a big heart.

On the inside Baekhyun is lonely.

Lately, he's been really wondering if anyone will ever stop hearing the noise and hear his heart. Someone who doesn't think he's quite so loud.

Still, he is popular, and he plays the part well. He even pretends to be a jerk when he isn't one. He even plays pranks on other kids in school. Ones who aren't cool.

He also takes bets.

Bets like the one he took to pretend to like a boy in their class. Baekhyun wasn't gay or anything-really. He didn't think the boy was kind of cute in a nerdy way or anything-really.
