It have been three months since your signed with YG. in these months all you did was exchanging emails with Lydia Paek. Well, not exactly ‘exchanging emails’ since she didn’t reply to any of your emails. That’s not a problem though, you were instructed to write poems or “lyrics” every week and email them to Lydia Paek. And so you did.

 

“I was so naïve” you mumbled, chuckling as you walked out of the library. You just finished tutoring your student and are going to meet Eun Seo for dinner.

 

Pulling the navy cap lower, you smiled remembering how you were so nerves about working in YG but turn out it was just a normal job.

 

I thought that at every corner of YG there will be a celebrity but surprisingly aside from young teenagers that were dancing in a studio I passed by, all the other workers looked ordinary people to me.  

 

You shook your head and looked up at the clouded sky, you saw the bus stop at the end of the street. Should I take a taxi? You wondered but decided against it since taxies were a luxury you couldn’t offer.. yet!

 

Passing by a shop, you saw your reflection on the glass. you are so proud of your moto oversized boyfriend black jeans, you bought it with your first YG pay. You’re wearing it with herringbone chambray shirt under a zip up white hoodie. Finally after 26 years of life you are able to dress yourself with something you actually like!

Smiling, you jogged to the bus stop when you noticed that the bus has arrived.

“do you have a rubber band?”

 

 you asked Eun Seo, holding your shoulder length hair with on hand and your chopsticks with the other.

 

She shook her head while flipping meat on grill. Her boyfriend, Dong Hyun was feeding her with his chopsticks, glaring at them.. you hit his chopsticks with yours

 

“YAH! No cheating! I’m struggling here with my hair while you two are finishing all the meat!”

 

“god, you eat like a horse and still look like a small rabbit” said Dong Hyun, rolling his eyes

 

“I earned it! I must have worked like a dog in my past life so I was rewarded in this lifetime” you said, grabbing a piece of meat from his plate

 

“let her be, she is paying anyway” whispered Eun Seo, placing the meat she grilled on his plate

 

“I heard that!” you said, pointing at her with your chopstick

 

 

*you got a new mail*

 

 

The baby-like voice from your phone announced

 

“But that’s right! I’m the one with seven digits paycheck so this unnie is paying” you added happily as you pulled your phone from your hoodie pocket

 

 

 

Reading the email, you frowned

 

 

 

Miss Park

 

One of your  pieces will be recorded at YG, studio 7D in an hour and your presence is requested.  Sorry for the short time notice but the change in the schedule was  so sudden.

 

 

 

 

“what?” asked Eun Seo, glancing at your phone

 

“I don’t know, I’ve a meeting … I think” you answered, looking at the time on your phone

 

“but it’s 8:20” you mumbled, dropping your chopsticks on the table

 

“YG meeting!?” asked Eun Seo, excitedly

 

“stop your hopeful thinking, it’s just a company where I work, not 2NE1 concert” 

 

She pouted looking up at you as you stood up, you brushed your hair with your fingers

 

“god, I smell like a cow” you groaned, wearing the navy baseball cap

 

“ a cooked cow” added Dong Hyun

 

“thanks” you answered, glaring at the giggling Eun Seo

 

Pulling your wallet from your pocket, you put some cash on the table

 

“That should cover the dinner, sorry guys but I got to run now”

 

“Call me later!” shouted Eun Seo as you run out of the small shop

You were sitting in a hall, waiting for the guard to make a call. Since this is only you second visit to YG you don’t have a pass yet. With your hands on your knees, you jiggled your foot nervously. It’s okay, they are just people. And it’s not like you’re going to meet Rain maybe it will be Lydia Paek and some composer. You thought, calming yourself.

 

You noticed the guard coming back to you, standing up, you smiled a little at him

 

“it’s all good now, take this lift to the first floor, the studio is in D section” he said, smiling back at you

 

“thank you” you bowed a little, heading to the lift

 

“have a good evening ma’am”

*ding dong*

 

Announced the lift as the doors opened.

 

Oh my god, I need to pee! You thought in panic. Stepping out of the lift, you looked right and left. I need to find a bathroom. You thought, walking down a hall, turning left, you were in a hallway with a few doors

 

“Yes!” you mumbled, when you noticed the toilet sign

 

“ah .. Miss?” asked a voice from behind you

 

Biting your lips, you turned around. A tall young guy with bleached hair, was gazing curiously at you

 

“Yes?” you asked

 

“I’m Kim Hanbin! Nice to meet you!” he said loudly, bowing 90 degree

 

 

Blinking, you took a step back

 

 

“nice to meet you .. too” you answered

 

“you are the new songwriter, right? You must be lost.. the studio is on the other side, come I’ll lead the way” he offered, rubbing the side of his neck

 

I AM NOT LOST! You cried silently. Glancing back at the toilet.

 

I can’t just say that I need the toilet .. too embarrassing in front of a young man. You thought, sighing

 

“thanks” you answered, stepping towards him

 

“how did you know that I’m the songwriter?” you asked, staring up at him

 

He smiled as he led the way to the studio

 

“the guard just called and I was sent out to find you” he admitted as you stopped in front of a door

 

“here, see .. this is where the studio is” he added pointing at the closed door

 

Looking down at your white tennis shoes, you took a deep breath as Kim Hanbin pushed the door open. Following him, you stepped into the dimly lighted studio. First thing you noticed was the long leather couch in the back of the room.

 

“here! I found her!” announced Kim Hanbin loudly

 

You glared at his back, feeling the heat in your cheeks.

 

“you are such a dork! That’s not how you introduce someone” said someone in the room

 

Looking up, you felt your heart clenching. He was here! Right here a few steps away. frozen in place, you tried to hide behind Kim Hanbin as you pulled your cap lower to hide your face. OMG! WHAT DID I JUST SAW? You thought in panic, as you blinked multiple of times. GET YOURSELF TOGETHER! You yelled silently, letting out a long breath, you stepped from behind Kim Hanbin back to stand in the middle of the room

 

“hello, nice to meet you all” you said in a high pitched voice, bowing 90 degree, just like Kim Hanbin did

 

 “Nice to meet you too! You must have been surprised with the unexpected email” said Lydia Paek, shaking hands with you

 

Nodding, you smiled at her.

 

Stop acting like a fifteen years old already! You yelled at yourself

 

Suddenly, he came in view, standing next to Lydia Paek. You saw his hand hanged in the air

 

“nice to meet you too” he said, in a smooth voice

 

Looking at the few sliver rings in his hand, you held his hand, staring at the golden watch around his wrist. As soon as his hand closed around yours, you pulled your hand back

 

I have to calm down, he probably doesn’t remember me anyway, you thought, staring at Ladia Paek

 

“eh .. true, the .. email was so sudden. I was having dinner with friends when it arrived” you blurted

 

She laughed, hitting his arm “Sorry about that, this whole thing was so sudden to me as well, this guy demanded a recording out of nowhere”

 

“take a seat unni” said Kim Hanbin, pulling the desk chair for you

 

You looked at him and back at Ladia Paek, all along avoiding to look at a certain someone even though he stood right in front of you

 

“sorry about the sudden change” he said in a cold tone, as he turned back to the studio desk

 

“ah, sit .. sit here” offered Ladia Paek, pointing to the chair the Kim Hanbin pulled

 

“actually I read all your emails, they are pretty good. And I forward some of them to Teddy Park” she said, as you took a seat

 

“Teddy Park!!?” you asked, looking up at her, she stood next to G-dragon.

 

“you have always been a fan of 1TYM” said G-dragon, gazing back at you

Your eyes were wide open, as you stared at him in shock.

 

He knew..

 

He smiled at you. but you felt that his smile wasn’t friendly… it was mocking you. 

 

 

“you know each other?” asked Kim Hanbin, looking curiously at you

 

“kind of, she was a friend of a friend” said G-dragon, gazing at you

 

You mean that I was your girlfriend, friend.

Looking at the glass wall in front of you. you stared at Lydia Paek the was standing behind it. singing your piece! How did I end up here? You thought

 

You have been in the studio for thirty minutes already. Kim Hanbin recorded a few lines that weren’t your writing and left. Right now you were alone with G-dragon in the studio while Lydia Paek was singing your piece.

 

You looked at him, he was sitting on the desk chair a few steps away from you. he was wearing faded ripped jeans with a white T shirt. His hair was short and black.

 

Clearing your throat you asked

 

“you .. knew?”

 

He looked at you, raisin one eyebrow

 

“knew that it is me.. I mean” you explained. Holding his gaze

 

“you … don’t think that I haired an investigator to find you and got you a job at YG because I’m in love with you?” he asked, with a serious expression  

 

What?, you stared at him in confusion

 

“! you do??” he said, laughing at you

 

“what?” you mumbled, still confused

 

You looked at Lydia Paek but she was still recording. Nervously, you looked back to him

 

 “This is not a disney movie and I’m not your prince charmer. it is pure coincidence that we met again, and I’m not the kid that you used to know” he said, pressing a button on the desk

 

“I know.. but I thought that you wouldn’t want to work with me” you stated, feeling foolish

 

“why? Because I used to like you? FYI, the only reason I chased you back then was because you rejected me. I was a prideful teen” he smirked, shaking his head

 

“oh..”

 

“yes, oh .. sorry to disappoint you” he added, pressing another button on the desk

 

“come out, Lydia! There is something wrong with this piece. It just doesn’t fit”

 

Suddenly, the call of nature the you ignored before, come out stronger than ever. God I need to pee! You thought, glancing around the studio

 

“okay then, I’ll excuse myself now if that’s all” you said to him, standing up as Lydia paek came out the recording room

 

“No” he said crossly

 

What do you mean no?? you wondered, glaring at him

 

“Aish, my throat hurts” said Lydia Paek, rubbing her neck

 

“you can leave now, me and her will have to go over the piece” he said

 

“It’s 10:18 already, I’m so tired, I’ve been up since 7 AM” said Lydia paek as she took her bag and headed for the door

 

“see you later!” she added, as she stepped out of the studio

 

“It’s hard to believe that you don’t like me when you act like this” you snorted, getting enough of him

 

Okay! we used to know each other, he liked me and I didn’t feel the same. Years later he is a big star and I’m just an ordinary person. That doesn’t give him the right to be mean to me. it’s not like I did something wrong.

 

You were pulled out of your thoughts when you noticed that he stood up, and was standing in front of you. pushing a chair that was in his way to the side, he took a step forward. You wanted to take a step back but that was impossible since you were sitting next to the wall to begin with. Suddenly his hand came in your view and your baseball cap was pulled from you head

 

“you know it’s rude to wear a cap in your boss presence”
