HI GUYS! I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GOINGTO SAY, YOU FORGOT MY STORY BECAUSE IT'S TAKING TOO LONG TO UPDATE. WELL, I JUST WANT TO SAY...MIANHE~ *BOWS*. The next day at the Kwon mansion…

Cousins Seohyun and Yuri were busy studying at Yuri’s study room. Seohyun couldn’t help but notice her unnie who kept on glancing at the clock and at the door. It’s as if she’s waiting for someone. The ever-curious maknae finally asked,

“Yuri unnie, you’ve been looking at the clock and at the door. Are you expecting someone?”

Yuri was surprised that she has been caught by her cousin so she decided to play it cool by reading back to her book.

Even though, she has second thoughts whether Yoona is true to her invitation or not, she wished it was. As much as she wants to deny it, she wants to spend time with Yoona. She wanted to know the girl better.

‘UUhhh…n-no. I uuhh…nothing. I’m just waiting for Nana Juri to bring us some snacks.” Yuri lied but she knew that Seohyun is not buying her lies. She saw how Yoona whispered at Yuri something last night.

She knew something was up.

“I’m not buying it, unnie. I saw you with Yoona unnie last n—“ Seohyun was interrupted when someone started throwing rocks by the window.

The cousins looked at each other and walked their way to the window. They were both surprised to see Yoona throwing pebbles at the window. When Yoona saw them, she climbed up the tree with a smirk on her face.

‘EOTTEOKE! Yoona unnie!” Seohyun gasped.

“Quick! Let’s open the window!” Yuri exclaimed as she opened the door for Yoona.

When Yoona finally made her way up, she sat by the branch and grinned at the girls,”Hey guys!”

Yuri was scared that Yoona might fall from the tree so she tried to reach her.

“YAH! Yoona! Get off of that tree! You might fall!” Yuri panicked.

Yoona was enjoying Yuri’s panicked face because she finds it really cute and her heart is beating so fast seeing the girl she likes, all worried about her.

“Don’t mind me, I’m fine. I’m used to climb trees.” Yoona said confidently. “So, are you ready? Soo and the gang were waiting for us. You can come along, too, Seohyun” Yoona smiled.

“W-what?! You came all the way up here just to ask me to come with you? You should’ve used the front door, Yoona.” Yuri reprimanded the girl.

“Where are we going anyway, Yoona unnie?” Seohyun asked.

“Great question, Seohyun. We’ll be going to a hill by the forest and we’ll have picnic.” Yoona grinned like a little girl getting all excited for a field trip which made Yuri’s heart skipped a beat at Yoona’s cuteness.

“That’s great, Yoona unnie. But we’ll have to—“ Seohyun pouted but cut off by Yoona.

“Nobody has to know.” Yoona winked. “C’mon. It’ll be fun!” Yoona raised her arms and suddenly she almost fall from the tree which made them all scream in fright. Luckily, Yoona held on a nearest branch beside her.

“OMO!” Soehyun gasped.

“YAH! IM YOONA! I SAID GET OFF FROM THAT TREE!” Yuri was so scared that Yoona almost fall off. Yoona just grinned.

“So, you guys, coming? I’m not going to take no for an answer.” She smirked as if nothing happened. Yuri just shook her head which made Yoona pout.

“No. We’re not allowed to go out.” Yuri replied sternly

“I’m not going to get off of this tree until you say yes.” Yoona tried to match Yuri’s stern face.

 The two were into their staring contest. Neither of them was saying a word. One is adamant on having the girl to come with her while the other is following her parents’ orders. Just then, Yoona grinned.

“If you’re not going to come with me, I’ll jump off this tree.” Yoona said confidently. Of course, she doesn’t. Her father will kill her if she comes home with a broken leg. She might not see the girl she likes. She’s just bluffing. Something she learned from one of her close oppa in the camp. She knew Yuri is worried about her so she’ll use it to have the girl come with her.

“What? You’re bluffing.” Yuri scoffed but then, she gasped when Yoona almost jumped off the tree.”YAH! IM YOONA!”

“C’mon! Just come with me.” Yoona encouraged.

“You’re crazy.” Yuri shook her head. She screamed again when Yoona started galloping on the branch. “YAH! STOP THAT!”

“I’ll stop when you come with me!” Yoona giggled as she continued to ride the tree.

“Unnie, she might fall off the tree.” Seohyun said worryingly. “Please say yes.”

Yuri’s heart couldn’t stop beating fast not just because of Yoona but also because of her mischievousness. She never met a girl like her. All she knew was all girls must be prim and proper like her.

Yoona is such a ball of surprise for her.

“Alright, I’ll go with you.” Yuri finally said which made Yoona grinned widely and jumped excitedly. “YAH! I SAID STOP IT IM YOONA!”

Yoona laughed. “Alright, I’ll stop. I’ll wait for you down by the tree.” She saluted and started to go down the tree.

Yuri just shook her head as she watched Yoona waited for her down the tree.

All 8 of them were walking down the path as they were walking towards the hill. The six girls were happily talking and walking into the woods while Yoona and Yuri stayed behind—well, more like Yuri. Yoona took a glance on Yuri and saw her having a hard time walking down the path with all the branches, leaves and all the foreign things you see in the forest.

Yoona smiled at the girl’s silliness and walked towards Yuri.

“Hey, you need help?” Yoona asked for the nth time but the other girl always turns her down. When Yuri didn’t answer, Yoona looked at her and saw that her arm has blisters and scratches from the  branches.

“OMO! Why didn’t you tell me?” Yoona took off her sweater and put it on Yuri. Yuri was surprised on the the gesture when Yoona held her hand.

“C’mon, I’ll guide you. Stay close, okay?” Yoona said worryingly as they continued walking.

Yuri was still dumfounded on what happened.

She saw how worried Yoona was and it made her heart skipped a beat. She was in her thoughts when she almost slipped. Good thing Yoona caught her by the waist and pulled her close.

“Good thing I got you.” Yoona smirked. There goes Yuri’s heart again.

“T-thanks.” Yuri mumbled. The two shared a look but eventually got cut off when Sooyoung called them out.

“Yah! Love birds! Stop flirting, we got no time!” Sooyoung teased as Hyoyeon playfully pushed the tall girl.

“Aiisshh!” Yoona yelled at her best friend as she embarrassedly blushed because she still held the girl.

‘She’s cute.’ Yuri said to herself while watching the blushing girl.

“C’mon, Yoona, they’re waiting for us”. Yuri pulled away from Yoona and started to follow the other girls.

‘That was embarrassing. I’m gonna kill Sooyoung.’ Yoona mumbled to herself before following the girls.

“Yeah! We’re here!”  

The girls started to put a blanket and place their picnic basket beside it. They all help each other preparing for their picnic. Taeyeon even brought her radio for them to have a music while hanging out.

Yuri felt out of place in their group despite that she knows everyone. She only get to see them whenever they want to hang out with her since her parents wouldn’t let her go out too far. It surprised her that Yoona fits perfectly in her clique. It’s making her happy as well.

While her friends where busy talking with each other, eating and dancing to some jazzy song on Taeyeon’s radio, the doe eyed girl sat beside the tanned girl.

“Hey.” Yoona started as she offered her a piece of a sandwich.

“Hey.” Yuri replied shyly as she accepted the food from Yoona.

They went quiet for a while as they both ate their sandwich.

“You know, you’re different from other girls, Yoona-ssi.” Yuri mumbled but Yoona heard it perfectly.

“Hhmm?” Yoona looked at her confusingly which Yuri couldn’t help but adore. Yoona looked at their friends who are busy enjoying themselves.

“Well, you’re not like the girls here. You’re free, careless and…different.” Yuri explained.

“Nah, I think not. Look at them.” Yoona pointed out their friends who are dancing wildly like bunch of boys. They both laugh at their antics.

“Okay, I stand corrected. What I mean is, you’re different with most girls around here. A person who’s as beautiful as you shouldn’t act like you know…” Yuri looked down shyly at Yoona’s intense stare at her. “My mom always telling me that beautiful girls are supposed to be prim and proper. We’re not supposed to be as reckless and careless. We should be in the shadows.”

Yoona studied the beautiful girl beside her. It’s sad that a girl like Yuri remained in the dark and not seeing the world unlike her. She’s sad that Yuri thinks that girls shouldn’t be as free as her. The urge to show Yuri the world seeps through her.

If only she can take the girl with her, she’ll do it in a heartbeat.

“You know, my dad and I traveled a lot. I met lots of people and you know it’s not what you think. Everyone deserves to be free.” Yoona explained which made Yuri looked up at her. “It’s a wonderful world out there, Yul.”

Yuri’s heart skipped a beat at the look on Yoona’s face. The way her face soften as the wind blows softly with her hair, it’s as if Yoona is unreal, like an artist’s masterpiece.

The tanned beauty averted her confusing adoration to the deer with a comment on Yoona’s nickname on her.

“Yul?” Yuri giggled.

 Yoona smiled at Yuri’s giggle. It’s definitely a music  to her ears.

“Yeah. Yul. I made that nickname for you.” Yoona grinned.

“Why?”

Yoona shrugged. “I don’t know. For me giving nicknames is very special and it’s given to special people.”

Yuri blushed at the thought.

“That’s cute, Nyuna.” Yuri blurted out which made Yoona’s ear perked up.

“What did you call me?” Yoona asked.

“Nyuna. I’m gonna call you Nyuna since you’re going to call me Yul.” Yuri smiled.

“I like that. You’re Yul. I’m Nyuna.” Yoona blushed which made Yuri blushed as well.

They day after their picnic, the gang decided Sunny at their pastry shop.

“Good day, Taeyeon-ah! How can I help you and your friends today? I also see that the Governor’s daughter is here.” a very huge old balding man smiled widely at them. Yuri smiled shyly at him and hid herself behind Yoona which made Yoona grinned at Yuri’s shyness.

“Good day, Mr. Lee. Is Sunny here?” Taeyeon asked.

“Oh yeah. She mentioned that you and your friends are coming. She’s in the kitchen.” Mr. Lee smiled at them.

The girls bowed and went to the kitchen where Sunny is. When they opened the door, they saw Sunny preparing things for baking.

“Oh. Hi guys!  You’re just in time. Ppali! grab your aprons and we’re going to bake.” Sunny announced which made the girls squealed in excitement.

“Yes! I’m going to make a 10 feet cake!” Sooyoung smiled wickedly as she tied her apron.

“OMG! I’m going  to put so many sprinkles on my cupcakes!” Tiffany marveled at the jars of sprinkles, chocolate kisses and decors for pastries.

“Can I take it home, Sunny-ah?” Hyoyeon asked as she showed the cans of whipped creams.

“No, Hyo, you can’t.” Sunny rolled her eyes.

“But unnie, aren’t we going to be a bother to your Dad? The pastry store is still open.” Seohyun worriedly asked.

“Maknae-yah, the reason why Sunny invited us here is because Uncle Lee will be out and he’ll close the shop today. So we can do this!” Taeyeon explained to the youngest of the group which Seohyun nodded in understanding.

While the girls were busy looking at the things inside the kitchen, Yoona and Yuri were in their own little world. Since their picnic, their closeness grew.

“YAH! HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE YOU TO TIE MY APRON?!” Yuri whined at the young girl.

Yoona was teasing her. Instead of tying Yuri’s apron, she’s watching the girl’s back and wait for her to complain. She just wanted to annoy the girl because she finds it really adorable.  

Besides even her back is so beautiful.

“YAH! IM YOONA!” Yuri whined again which made Yoona laughed.

“Arasso, arasso. I’ll tie the apron this time.” Yoona said as she tied Yuri’s apron.

“YAH! So you’re just letting me standing here for nothing?! Aiisshh~”

Yoona laughed and said, “You’re too adorable, you know that?”

It made Yuri blushed. No one told her that she’s adorable. She never loosen up like this because people around her would tell her to act like a lady. But with Yoona and her friends, she’s discovering a side of her that she never knew existed.

“Shut up.” Yuri hid her blush.

“No, its true. You’re too adorable. You’re like puppy.” Yoona said as a gentlewoman that she is, she held Yuri’s hand and led her to the kitchen counter and start to check the ingredients.

“What?! You’re comparing me to a dog?! Unbelievable! I’m too beautiful to be a dog!” Yuri argued.  

Yoona laughed at Yuri’s sudden outburst. “No, you got it all wrong. I didn’t mean it sorry.What I mean is, you’re adorable like a puppy. You’re too irresistible with just a look.” The doe eyed girl winked which made Yuri’s hear t skipped again.

Ever since their day at the picnic, Yuri couldn’t stop thinking about the girl. She always tell stories about Yoona to her Nana Juri which made her Nana smiled. She’s glad that Yuri was able to find someone who can make her be herself.

“YAH! Stop that.” Yuri said shyly.

“What?” Yoona asked.

“I said stop that.”

“What do you mean?”

Yuri wanted to say that her heart skips whenever Yoona says things about her. She wanted to say that she’s been thinking about Yoona when they’re not together. She wanted to say that she’s scared of what she’s feeling about Yoona because she knows that this is completely wrong.

But she’s scared that Yoona might not feel the same way.

“Stop being a choding.” Yuri replied instead.

Yoona stared at her and grinned. “Arasso. I will not tease you anymore.”

They were both quiet as Yuri watched Yoona kneading the dough. Yuri looked up and see that their friends left them again. Maybe they’re busy roaming around the store.

“What are you doing? Do you even know how to bake?” Yuri asked which Yoona nodded.

“Yeah. Since my dad is away most of the time and I don’t have a mom anymore, I’m always with my Nana Shinyoung. She taught me so many things. One of those is baking. She doesn’t want me to do this but I want to. I want to do many things, I want to experience lots of things.” Yoona looked up and smiled at Yuri which made Yuri’s heart skipped again. “How about you, Yul? Do you bake?”

Yuri looked down shyly and shook her head. “All my life, I always have somebody to do things for me. They never taught me these kinds of things because I’m a ‘Kwon’. A name that will never be at the bottom. That will always be at the top”

Yuri suddenly felt ashamed of herself. The girl beside her knows more things than she does. The girl never sits in her study room, spending time reading and studying on how to be a proper lady. The girl didn’t have to wait for her parents to wed her to some rich guy.

“I understand. If only I can take you with me.” Yoona mumbled so low but Yuri heard it. The tanned girl just smiled sadly. They both know that this is impossible.

They both quiet for a while as Yoona baked a cookie for Yuri. The tanned girl watched Yoona worked all over the kitchen as if she belonged there. As they were waiting for the cookies to be baked, Yuri asked,

“Nyuna?”

“Nae?” Yoona replied as she kept her eyes on the oven.

“ D-Does your dad ever decides who do you wanna be with?” Yuri asked as she played with a towel as she finished wiping the kitchen table.

Yoona thought for a while and said, “No. My dad wants me to be happy. So, whoever I chose, as long as they loved me for me, he’ll accept it.”

“They?”

Yoona nooded, “it doesn’t matter If it’s a guy or a girl.” She said as if it’s the most natural thing in this world.

“S-so you’re…?” Yuri asked.

Yoona grinned at Yuri’s innocence. “Yeah, I know what you’re thinking.” Yoona then, looked down. “I hope it wouldn’t change a thing about us? You know, others thinks I have an incurable disease when they know I’m gay. I hope that it’s not like that with you?”

Yuri shook her head. When she knew that Yoona is capable of loving her, she felt relieved.

“No. Of course not.” Yuri said too quickly. “I mean it wouldn’t change a thing about us.”

Yoona smiled widely which made Yuri’s heart beat so fast. Just then, the oven dinged. A sign that the cookies were cooked.

Yoona went her way to the oven and were greeted by a sweet aroma of cookies. She smiled that her cookies cooked just fine.

 She made her way back to Yuri which made the tanned girl clapped in excitement.

“OMO! It’s done and it looks yummy!” Yuri said as her eyes went big. “And it smells so good!”

Yoona blushed. “Thanks. Let’s try it?”

Yuri tried to get one cookie but she immediately put it down when she realized that it’s too hot.

“Be careful. I know you’re excited. Hang on.” Yoona said and went to grab table napkins for them to hold the cookies. Yoona get a piece of a cookie and offered Yuri.

“Here. Be careful.” Yoona offered. Yuri stared at Yoona. The doe eyed girl saved her again like a knight and her heart skipped a beat for the nth time.

Yuri took a bite and chewed carefully as Yoona looked at her expectantly.

“So, how was it?” Yoona asked.

Yuri’s eyes went big and smiled, “It’s so good! It’s like the most delicious cookies I ever tasted!” the tanned girl grabbed Yoona’s hand and grabbed another bite. Yoona laughed.

“Thanks, I’m glad you liked it.” Yoona grinned.

Yuri offered Yoona a piece of cookies when their friends came in.

“OH YEAH! COOKIES! TOLD YOU GUYS THAT SOMEBODY’S COOKING HERE!” Sooyoung yelled as she made her way to the kitchen counter to herself a piece of cookie.

“Damn, guys, you baked this?” Sooyoung said in between chews.

“Unnie, your mouth is full.” Seohyun reprimanded her unnie.

The two girls laughed and Yuri said, “No, it’s all Yoona. I’m just a helpless assistant who watched her every move.”

“Wow, Yoona. You can be a housewife. These are so good.” Hyoyeon commented which made Yoona blushed and looked at Yuri which made the girl looked back at her and blushed.
