Chapter 6

"Jeonghan, I choose you!" Part 2

Zm45RZQUxrHjYXGiqpSngeRs2P6Ntxy1WhYdqoeO

“Soo Min?” There he was. There was Jeonghan standing there looking slightly surprised to see her sitting there. He couldn’t sleep and decided to come to Han River for some fresh air but he had no idea she was back in Seoul. She came back?

“Jeonghan…” she quickly stood up and stared in his direction. He never thought he’d see her so soon like this, he was at a loss for words and didn’t know what to do.

It was too much… seeing her after remembering all of their wonderful memories. He wanted to run over and hug her and say how much he missed her but stopped himself. Things will never be the same… He couldn’t do that, not after what happened with her abruptly leaving like that, not after breaking his heart like that, not after breaking things off. Even if he still loved her, he didn’t think they should get back together just like that. Her absence probably didn’t do much other than make him feel like a total jerk and depressed. She left because of his jealous behavior, how would she know if he’s changed? It’s only been two weeks.

There was silence between the two as they stood there, taking in what was really happening. It was a bittersweet moment. “Jeonghan…” she tried to say but it was clear that there were too many emotions right now. “Jeonghan, what do I do?” He only reacted with a confused expression. “I missed you so much…” now he understood.

“I missed you, too.” He took a few steps forward, watching for her reaction, he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable if he got close and she didn’t want that, but she surprised him by taking a few steps forward as well to meet him halfway. Slowly, he reached out to wipe away her tears before caressing her cheeks and holding her small face in his hands. He wanted to kiss her but…

He opted for placing a soft kiss to her forehead instead. Being intimate was probably too risky right now given they weren’t together anymore. And now he wondered… would they ever get back together? “Soo Min…”

“I’m sorry.” She managed to get out. “I’m sorry for everything… I didn’t mean to cause you so much pain. I’m truly a horrible person.”

“Don’t say that… you’re not.” He frowned at her negativity. “I’m sorry for everything, too, this is all my fault.”

It was hard to argue with that because it was true. “I wish I could’ve been stronger and more patient but I wasn’t. I failed you…”

“It’s okay.” He assured her. “I don’t blame you… it was your first relationship and I ruined it. I’m so sorry.” By now it was getting harder and harder for him not to just hug her tightly and never let her go. He wanted to be selfish and tell her that he still loved her so much even after all of this and that he wanted her to be his Pikachu again. Though, he could tell she wasn’t feeling the same way, and it was clearly his fault. It was getting to the point that he wanted to cry, but he wasn’t going to do that to her. He didn’t want her pitying him.

“It’s confusing because my heart still wants you but my brain says the opposite.”

“I understand.”

“Do you?”

“Of course…” a sad smile spread across his lips, “when I made the decision to breakup with Mi Young. I still loved her despite how bad she hurt me… it was a hard decision to make but I made it.”

Soo Min looked down, hearing him speak of Mi Young didn’t sit well with her but she had to understand why he said it. She couldn't help but reach out and hold his hand, like her body was being controlled by her heart.

He didn’t make a move to retract his hand, feeling her touch made him feel nostalgic, like the days when they were together… She frowned before she realized she still had a light hold on his hand. “Sorry.” She muttered while letting go but he quickly grabbed her hand before it could get too far and pulled her a little closer. That made her look up in surprise and she saw that familiar look, that look he always gave her, that look of love.

It was like time stopped.

Just the two of them at Han River sharing a loving moment, a moment they shouldn’t.

His hold on her tightened while his eyes never left hers for a second the closer they got. Soo Min started to get caught up in the moment, those nostalgic feelings influenced her to let it happen because it felt like this was how it was supposed to be, but in her mind she knew this was wrong. Not wrong like he was a taken man and she shouldn’t be with him right now, but wrong as in… they weren’t together, they broke up.

Jeonghan was cautious though and waited to see how she reacted, he expected her to pull away, or push him away but it was like she was inviting him to kiss her the way she leaned in a little, her eyes locked on his lips. Even he thought this was wrong but his heart…

Before they knew it, their lips were locked together in a long sweet kiss. Their hearts raced and the butterflies were raging in both their stomachs, like as if it was their first kiss. He could feel the hesitation at first but she slowly melted into the kiss, her hands gripping onto his forearms like her knees were about to buckle underneath her. When they parted, they were speechless, neither knew what to say but it was clear that they wanted more.

“Jeonghan… I don’t think we should be doing this.” She reluctantly said it. “Even though our feelings haven’t changed, I hurt you. Even if you forgive me-” she was cut off when Jeonghan kissed her a second time and there was more feeling in it, too. Almost like he was telling her to forget about the past and just enjoy the moment.

Despite what she said, she couldn’t help but kiss him back, she couldn’t help but let it happen because her heart wanted this, her heart wanted him. She slowly wrapped her arms around him to pull him closer, high on her feelings. She never wanted this to end…

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

August 20th, Thursday...

Jeonghan’s eyes fluttered open before they glanced around the room and landed on the annoying alarm o’ clock buzzing on his nightstand. It was about 10am and he had to wake up to get ready for work.

Sitting up in bed, he ran a hand through his long hair and let out a deep sigh. That dream again… he thought to himself as he sat there thinking about it. He didn’t like how he kept having this recurring dream of him and his ex-girlfriend Soo Min meeting at Han River two weeks after their break up. It’s been about two weeks now…and he wondered if it was a premonition dream or something? He didn’t know why he kept dreaming the same thing, it never changed, it was always two weeks after the break up. He hadn’t told anyone about this dream yet only because it was hard to talk about her.

He managed to snap out of his thoughts and got up to get ready for the day, he didn’t want to waste too much time thinking about it, but he knew it was going to be on his mind all day now. This dream seemed to happen four times this week, and when it happens, it’s all he can think about on those days. It was getting annoying since it usually happened just when he thinks he’s finally over those heartbroken feelings and can focus on life. He acknowledged that she’d be in his heart forever, but it just gets inconvenient sometimes when he’s suddenly hit with those overwhelming feelings.

When he made it to the kitchen after washing up, he was greeted by Junhui, Won Woo and Mingyu eating leftovers from last night’s dinner at the table for breakfast. “Did you sleep well?” Mingyu asked as Jeonghan opened the fridge to get something to eat. He paused for a second, unsure of how to reply to that…

“Yeah.” He simply said before closing the fridge. He wasn’t going to eat breakfast today, he just wasn’t in the mood. “I think I’m gonna head to work a bit early today. See you later.” He waved at them before returning back to his room to grab his things. He just needed to be alone right now.

“What’s with him this morning?” Mingyu frowned at how quick their roommate was to leave. It had been like this all week.

“Don’t worry about it.” Junhui assured him as he pushed his food around his plate. He could tell Jeonghan must’ve been having one of those days again where his thoughts and emotions clashed, causing him to be in a bad mood. But it wasn’t just Jeonghan who was in a bad mood today, Won Woo seemed pretty quiet at the table this morning and his boyfriend seemed curious about that. He had returned from Busan last night and slept on the couch because he didn’t want to wake Mingyu.

It was clear that the younger was happy to see him home after being gone for almost a week, but Won Woo didn’t seem to feel the same way. He’s probably upset that Soo Min didn’t return with him. Mingyu had thought. He tried to not let it bother him though. Breakfast at the table was short and once they were done eating, Junhui mentioned that he was going to go out and meet with Mi-Cha for a bit so the couple could have some time together. Mingyu appreciated that, but soon after the older left, Won Woo went straight back to bed. He wasn’t expecting that to happen and started to worry even more.

“Won Woo?” Mingyu asked after taking a seat on his boyfriend’s bed. The older was lying down on his side staring at the wall, facing away from the door in silence. “Babe?” He asked, reaching out to touch his arm. Won Woo didn’t reply and remained still. “Hey, answer me.” Mingyu nudged him this time.

“What?” Won Woo asked in a snappy tone.

“What’s wrong?” Mingyu asked in a calm yet worried tone.

“Nothing.” His boyfriend’s reply was blunt and a bit harsh.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”

“Won Woo… c’mon. Something's obviously bothering you. Talk to me.” He shifted so he could fully face his boyfriend. “I know you’re upset that she didn’t come back with you…” Won Woo didn’t reply and stayed quiet. “I’m not sure what to say to make you feel better.”

“Don’t say anything.” Won Woo sighed. “There’s nothing you can say that’ll make me feel better.”

“Really?” Mingyu frowned. “Even if I said I love you and I’m here for you?”

“I didn’t mean it like that, idiot.” Won Woo spared him a short glance over his shoulder before staring at the wall again. “But thanks.” The room fell silent and Won Woo could sense his boyfriend was upset now. He figured it was because of his attitude. “Sorry… I’m not trying to take it out on you, okay?”

“I know.” Mingyu sighed. “Should I leave you alone then?” He figured he shouldn’t bother him so much while he’s in a bad mood, even though he missed him like crazy when he was in Busan.

“... no. You can stay.” Won Woo finally shifted so he was lying on his other side and faced his boyfriend this time. “You said you would be here for me, right?” Mingyu nodded before seeing Won Woo pat the spot next to him, suggesting that he lie down with him.

It brought a smile to the younger’s face as he quickly moved so he could lie down and faced Won Woo. “I love you too.” He returned those words from earlier with a faint smile before taking Mingyu’s hand into his and gave it a small squeeze. Mingyu’s smile grew wider and he pulled Won Woo over to hold him close to his chest and cuddled him. Won Woo would have protested to it before, but today, he let it happen because he really needed it. He felt so lonely when he was in Busan because Soo Min wasn’t the same after leaving, despite the few talks they had it felt like he had visited a robot or a stranger whenever it came to talking about her situation. Being in Mingyu’s arms right now really helped.

Since they didn’t have work until this evening, they took a nap, Won Woo hadn’t been sleeping well lately and really needed to catch up on his sleep. The same went for Mingyu, he had been so worried about Won Woo since everything happened. He only hoped that things would get better sooner than later.

After Jeonghan left his shared apartment, he took a trip to the park before work and stopped at a bench to sit and think. There was a lot on his mind and a gentle breeze of air that brushed against his cheeks as he relaxed on the bench, today was a nice day to be outside. It wasn’t too hot nor too cold, it was just right and it reminded him of that temperature sensitive girl. He smiled for a few seconds at the memory before he let out a small sigh and leaned back on the bench while looking around the park. There weren’t a lot of people roaming around yet since it was still early. It’d start to get busy soon, though. The afternoon seemed to be the time of day where people came out with their family for picnics, or bring their kids to play.

Unfortunately, a couple passed by him holding hands while having a cute conversation and it made him think about his situation again. “Ugh..” he groaned while letting his head fall back. “It’s too early for this.” It was getting hard to see other couples when he was out and about.

He could see another couple by a tree behind him, they seemed new in their relationship and it looked cute. It reminded him of how shy Soo Min was in the beginning of their relationship. I wonder what it would have been like if things didn’t end that way? He thought to himself. He always thought about that, ever since she left, he always thought about how things would be if they didn’t break up like that.

He closed his eyes and tried to imagine it, but it was hard for him, just imagining her bright and cheery smile made his heart ache. He quickly sat up straight and shook off those thoughts and let out another sigh before he pulled out his phone. He pulled up the one photo he still had of them, that time they took a picture together in front of Jisoo’s apartment complex. It brought a sad smile to his lips as he looked back on the memory, it was a cute and funny one. He really missed her.

When he saw Won Woo had returned this morning, he was disappointed that not even Won Woo was able to bring her back. He had been in the bathroom when Won Woo got home last night around 1am and they talked for a few minutes before Jeonghan went back to bed. In their brief chat, he was told that Soo Min refused to return to Seoul with him, but Jeonghan figured it was going to be like that, he wasn’t even surprised.

Now that he was thinking about it, he wasn’t even sure if her sister and parents were in contact with her either. Maybe they were, but only when they visit her in Busan. He always thought about asking Min Hee or Ren about her, but any time he’d run into them, he’d chicken out. He was sure they didn’t have any hard feelings against him for what happened, but even so, he just couldn’t bring himself to face her sister nor her parents. It was pretty much his fault for her leaving back to Busan like that.

I still wish I could talk to her one last time...

Just so he could get some closure and properly apologize to her. He had a feeling she’s already moved on with her life in Busan and that was why she wasn’t budging on coming back to Seoul, as if she wanted to cut all ties and start anew. As harsh as that sounded, if it was what makes her happy, he could live with it. He then laughed to himself, he found it amusing. Before, he was somewhat of a selfish person, but now after meeting her…

“Excuse me, can you tell me where I can find...?” A slightly familiar voice trailed off and snapped him out of his thoughts as he quickly looked towards the sound of the voice. There was a girl a few feet away asking someone for directions to somewhere. She was wearing a white blouse and some black skinny jeans, her hair was long, straight and completely jet black. She also had a black beanie on and matching black boots. He could tell they made the girl a bit taller by the size of the heels. Everything about her reminded him of Soo Min. No. “Thank you.” She spoke again before turning to leave.

She passed Jeonghan without glancing at him, as if she didn’t notice him at all, she probably wasn’t paying much attention to her surroundings and didn’t know anyone was sitting there until she passed them. He quietly sat there watching her leave before coming back quickly. She must’ve been going in the wrong direction. When she passed by the second time, he could see her face properly this time… she wasn’t Soo Min.

His heart sunk a bit when he realized that and she happened to notice him this time. All she did was flash him a small smile before leaving since he was staring at her. That must’ve been the fourth time this week that he thought he saw her. He honestly felt like he was going crazy each time!

“Excuse me,” there was that voice again and he took a deep breath and closed his eyes. I’m just imagining it. “Can you tell me...?” Her voice trailed off again as she was talking to someone a few feet away. Instantly he looked towards the direction of the voice, this girl also seemed lost and was getting directions to a cafe. There stood a girl wearing a yellow T-shirt and black jeans with brown boots… Pikachu’s color scheme! Could it really be her?

He was definitely sure he was just imagining it again and sat back in his seat while shaking his head and slapping his cheeks. Stop letting your dream fool you. He thought before getting up and headed to his work place. When he got to the end of the sidewalk, he thought about waiting to see if that girl was really Soo Min or not. It sounded like her, but so did the other girl. So did every girl, actually. I’m going crazy. He shook it off and headed to work. He needed to focus on work now.

“Are you okay?” Seungkwan asked as he and Jeonghan were cleaning up a few tables at work. It was about two hours into their shift right now. “You seem out of it today.”

“I don’t know.” Jeonghan honestly replied. “Just not having a good week.” He added shortly after with a small sigh.

“Do you want to talk about it?”

“I’m fine.” Of course he would answer with that, the typical response from someone who didn’t want to talk about anything.

“Are you sure?” Seungkwan didn’t look like he was going to take no for an answer, he looked so worried.

“Fine, let’s finish cleaning first.” He gave in and they finished their task before taking their break. They went to the back room after getting something to drink and sat at the table. “Is it just me or… are there a lot of girls that remind you of Soo Min?”

“Really?” Seungkwan’s eyes widened a little. “You’ve been experiencing that, too?”

“So I’m not the only one?” Jeonghan didn’t expect that kind of answer.

“No! The others have mentioned it as well…” the younger trailed off as he thought about it. “I thought I saw her this morning, too.”

“I guess everyone misses her the same.” Jeonghan sighed sadly. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t start apologizing again, I’m done hearing that from you. I heard it the first time.” Seungkwan frowned. “It’s okay.”

“Is it really? To think I ruined everything… she was going to attend school here with us and everyone was looking forward to it.”

“Things happen, can’t do much about it, unfortunately.”

“That sure made me feel better.” Jeonghan mumbled.

“I’m sorry, hyung!” Seungkwan apologized, he looked so guilty and Jeonghan just chuckled ensuring him it was alright. “You know, I always felt like she’d change her mind and come back before Spring semester starts. Maybe she just needed time… I don’t think it’d be that crazy if she really did come back.”

“You really think so?” Jeonghan honestly wanted to believe his words were the truth. He wished she would come back, even if it’s not for him, but for everyone else. It’s be nice to have her around once again. Seungkwan nodded in reply before he glanced at the time, they were only allowed a ten minute break four times throughout their shifts. If she came back… what would I do?

Zm45RZQUxrHjYXGiqpSngeRs2P6Ntxy1WhYdqoeO

August 21st, Friday…

Everyone was busy like crazy this week, there was hardly any time to chat and hang out, they all had something going on. The younger ones were preparing for school and the older ones were preparing for college. There was a lot of school shopping and fixing sleep schedules. But even though they were all preparing, they weren’t ready to go back yet.

Jeonghan was almost done cleaning up the tables at work, it was closing time right now. Jisoo was lending a helping hand since he came to see how Jeonghan was doing before his next shift at Pledis Pizza. It was quiet between them and the others because they were all so focused on getting their tasks done, it had been a busy day at the cafe today, but Jeonghan couldn’t help but feel bothered through it all and couldn’t focus. Yesterday, had been on his mind a lot and he hadn’t talked to Jisoo about it yet. He had talked to Seungkwan, but that was it. He didn’t really feel like talking about it further with the others. “What’s wrong?” Jisoo suddenly snapped him out of it. “Everything okay?”

“Sorry…” Jeonghan apologized.

“Maybe we should let the others finish up. That gives you a little more time before your next shift.” He pointed out. “Let’s go.” Jeonghan agreed and they left after telling Jihoon and the others that they were leaving early. Of course they understood and told him to take it easy.

On their way out, they could see a girl walking towards them, she had sunglasses on and medical mask covering her face, possibly because she had a cold or something. She had a paper in her hand and was reading it. Both Jeonghan and Jisoo stepped out of her way and watched her turn around a corner. In that split second, Jisoo noticed her shoulder bag as the one he got for Soo Min a while back, it was pokémon themed. “That was…” he muttered, slightly shocked. He wanted to catch up to her and see if it really was her but Jeonghan stopped him. He looked over his shoulder to see Jeonghan shake his head with a dejected expression.

It was clear Jeonghan wanted to leave, so Jisoo decided to leave it alone. Maybe he was wrong, a lot of girls like pokémon, he shouldn’t just jump to conclusions like that. Even though he swore that bag was the exact one he bought despite that was pretty much a month ago…

The two finally left and headed to Jeonghan’s apartment. They stopped by a burger joint on the way and ordered some food to eat so Jeonghan wouldn’t be hungry at work later. When they got to the apartment it was quiet between them again and Jeonghan didn’t seem like he wanted to eat after going through the trouble of getting the food. That really worried Jisoo and he was the first to speak. “What’s been bothering you lately?”

“I think I’ve gone insane.” Jeonghan sighed. “I… keep having this dream about Soo Min coming back to me. After I wake up, I suddenly see her at the park or randomly at the store or on the way home, like I’m hallucinating.” Before Jisoo could say anything in reply to that, he continued. “Seungkwan says he and the others have been experiencing that too… but it’s so weird.”

“That is weird.” Jisoo said softly. He thought he saw her just now on their way home, too. “Maybe it was her?”

“What?” Jeonghan looked at him, confused by his comment.

“I don’t know how soon, but… I visited her parents earlier this week. They told me that Soo Min might be thinking about coming back because the colleges here have better programs that she’s interested in, that was originally why she came her in the first place. Her grandmother has been giving her a hard time lately, too. She would probably stay with her parents when she gets back and they weren’t sure if she was going to resume contact with everyone, she’s been pretty closed off lately. I’m not even sure where they got that information from to be honest.” Perhaps it was the elder being a spy for her parents.

“I see.” Jeonghan nodded. “I’d understand.”

“I wonder if that really was her today?” Jisoo looked curious.

“I shouldn’t have stopped you, I’m sorry.”

“No, it was better that you did. If that was her, she probably wouldn’t have wanted to see me either.” The atmosphere dropped as they sat there thinking about it. If that had been her and they did stop her, what would have happened?

“Things will never be the same…” Jeonghan said softly. It was only the truth.

Shortly after dinner, Jeonghan said he wanted to go to Han River alone for a bit to think about everything before his shift at Pledis Pizza. Jisoo wanted to stop him, knowing he’d only get depressed again if he went there because that place held way too many memories of his relationship with her, but at the same time… he didn’t want to tell Jeonghan what to do. If going to Han River made him feel better, so be it.

Zm45RZQUxrHjYXGiqpSngeRs2P6Ntxy1WhYdqoeO

It had been about thirty minutes since Jeonghan came to sit at Han River, he still had another 15 minutes before he would leave for work. He spent most of his time remembering all the good memories. It made him happy instead of sad, almost like he had to come here and remind himself before he would forget it. He started to recall his last memory here with her.

“We’re back to where it all began again and I still get amazed each time.”

Soo Min smiled as she looked out to the river.

“Me too. We’ve come so far since then…”

Jeonghan agreed, staring out at the river.

The sun had set a short while ago and it continued to get darker…

and that meant it was a lot cooler now.

“So much has happened in just a month, it makes me wonder what else is in store for us…?”

She turned to look at him but their stuffed bear was in the way. She laughed.

“Perhaps Mr. Bear should sit elsewhere.”

“Mr. Bear?! Hell yeah, he needs to sit over here!”

Jeonghan moved the stuffed animal to his right, far away from Soo Min.

She just shook her head, bringing the palm of her hand to her forehead.

“Had I known the bear was a guy, I wouldn’t have picked him!”

“Of course.” She rolled her eyes.

“You mean you wouldn’t be jealous if he was a girl?!” He looked at her with a pout.

Jeonghan chuckled softly from that.

“... maybe we should have gotten candy instead.”

She looked out to the river again.

Her reply made him laugh, they were just perfect for each other, weren’t they?

A cool summer breeze blew by and made Soo Min shiver at the sudden temperature drop.

“Here.” Jeonghan said while taking his jacket off and placing it around her shoulders.

“I should have picked some sort of jacket or cardigan to go with your outfit.”

“But then you wouldn’t be able to be sweet and share your jacket with me.” She leaned on him with a small giggle. “If you get cold, let me know!”

“I doubt it, it’s hot under that jacket!”

He fanned himself. “You’re doing me a favor by using it now.”

The two just laughed as they sat there together, looking out at the river. Today was a good day, despite there were a few bumps in the road with Jeonghan’s ex and Soo Min’s sister… they were ending it on a good note. They were ending it with their 4th special date.

“This won’t be our last date, right?” Jeonghan asked after awhile.

That hurt to remember. He never thought that would have been their last date.

“What do you mean?”

She asked as he took her left hand into his,

bringing it up to admire the pokéball ring on her finger.

“We’re going on more dates after this one, correct?”

He smiled. “We kept making out this 4th date was a final date or something.”

“Oh!” She finally understood what he was saying.

“Then yeah, this won’t be the last! There’ll be more, definitely!

We’ve only been on one double date with Won Woo and Mingyu, we need to go on more!”

“Of course.”

“We have to! Promise me!” She held up her pinky.

“I promise.” He caved, linking his pinky with hers to make the promise.

“We should go on a double date with your sister and Ren, too?”

“Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun!” Her face lit up.

“I know earlier wasn’t all that great, but…

in time I’m sure it’d be really fun to go on a double date with them!”

“Then it’s a date.”

“Let’s go on one with Jisoo and Bo-Young, too! Jihoon and Ae-Cha…

Junhui and Mi-Cha, whenever they decide to hook up, that is!”

“So many dates!” He laughed at her excitement.

“That was going to be a lot of dates…”

“They’re all gonna be so fun, but probably not as fun as our dates.”

“Because we’re the definition of fun!” He pulled her into a hug.

He held her tight for a few minutes, just taking the time to appreciate her,

she was doing the same as she leaned into his embrace.

“I love you.” She said softly in his hold.

“I love you, too.” He pulled back and hooked his finger under her chin to tilt her head up.

He locked his lips with hers in a long sweet kiss.

Now the tears were falling. His last memory here was of their last date and their last true kiss. Perhaps coming here was a bad idea in the end, his chest hurt so much from looking back on the memories, it was so bittersweet. Things will never be the same… but he’d never forget how happy he was to be with her. As long as you’re happy now, Soo Min.

After wiping his tears, he got up and headed to work. On his way there, he couldn’t help but feel a little dizzy and almost bumped into the wall when he entered the break room. “Whoa, are you okay?” Junhui asked when Jeonghan walked in. He looked awful, like he had been crying and his face was pretty pale. He looked a little disoriented, too, and definitely tired. “You don’t look so good, maybe you should go home…”

“I’m fine.” Jeonghan said while getting changed for his shift.

“Are you sure?”

“Leave me alone.” He muttered while grabbing his name tag and headed out of the room. He almost bumped into Mingyu on the way out, too.

“Is he okay?” Mingyu asked, looking quite concerned.

“I don’t think so.” Junhui shook his head. “We should keep an eye on him.” They both agreed and headed out to start their shift.

The first ten minutes seemed to be fine, it was almost like Jeonghan recovered the moment he stepped out of the break room, but Mingyu could tell something was still off. When Jeonghan mentioned he’d be right back, he left to the break room. When five minutes had passed, Mingyu left to check on Jeonghan and discovered him on the floor in the break room. “Not again!” He quickly rushed over and knelt down to nudge him. “Jeonghan!” He called out to him a few times before fetching Junhui. They had no choice but to call Jisoo to come get Jeonghan and take him to the hospital, as bad as it sounded, it’d be better than calling an ambulance to the restaurant and cause a scene. In minutes, Jisoo and Seungcheol arrived to take care of Jeonghan.
