First Summer
The Fault In Our FateYou came into my life,
and I thought; 'hey,
you know, this could be something'

April, 2004
It was a rather too-sunny-for-his-liking summer day, and Luhan was sulking alone on the bench at the hospital park despite the harsh wind and the sweat rolling down his temple was getting into his nerves ("It's still April for God's sake!"). It was his birthday and instead of celebrating it in a restaurant with his beloved family and close friends, he spent his time in the hospital since the morning because his cousin just had to fall from the second floor of his house and injured his leg pretty badly, which made even his own parents stay at the hospital to look after him. And it was really devastating for Luhan to the point that he had lost all his pity for his cousin. Why can’t you just fall tomorrow, Byun Baekhyun?!?! Not today!!
Yet then he scolded himself for being whiny; he was older than the said cousin after all, he shouldn’t be throwing tantrum. When he was about to sigh, though, someone had beaten him for it. He looked up to see a kid, obviously a lot younger than him, with skimpy figure and fragile looking bony hands. The kid was slowly plopping himself at the other end of the bench, face not really as dark as his own, but still gloomy. He stared blankly at the kid; he always hated anorexic-looking skinny people, especially kids, they look like skeleton. Ew, where are your parents?
“Pretty hyung,” Luhan was pulled back from his staring session when he found that the kid was already staring back at him as well, “why are you looking at me like that?”
… his voice sounded so squea
