Park Bom was enjoying her job as a manager in the newest bar in town BARHOPPER.

 

She was having the time of her life, enjoying the partying at night. Doing your job and doing something that you enjoy is really a bonus for having a job as a manager of a bar.

 

“Good evening ma’am!” one of the staffs greeted.

 

“Good evening! How is the floor today?” Bom asked the bartender as she sat on the bar stool overlooking the dance floor, full of people partying the night away.

 

“Very good ma’am!” the bartender replied, “Ma’am... Mr. Byun wants to see in his office!” he added as Bom walked passed the crowd and into her boss’ office, which was located at the 3^rd floor, overlooking the whole area.

 

She silently knocked on the door and opened it after she heard him give her a go signal.

 

“Sir, you wanted to see me?” Bom asked as she slowly opened the door.

 

“Yes, please do come in... Bom!” Baekhyun greeted as he invited her to sit down.

 

Bom sat on the chair in front of Baekhyun’s desk as she looked anticipatedly...

 

“Right... I am planning on launching another branch... and I want you to manage it solely... are you up for it?” Baekhyun asked as he joined his hands together waiting for Bom’s reaction.

 

“A-are you s-sure... y-you want me? Me? As in me? To manage the bar personally?! Are you serious?!” Bom was shocked as she stared at Baekhyun with wide eyes, looking like a doll.

 

“Yes... I am sure of it Bom! You are my best manager... and you are the best person for that job... you can manage it... heck you always order me around... you are the only one whom I can trust the new branch to. As you know, the new branch is opening next week, we will have a soft opening by then... so prepare yourself for a hectic week!” Baekhyun stated

 

“Whoa! Really?! That fast? I know the bar was already done... but you are really planning on opening it next week!? Thank you for giving such a short notice Baek!” Bom rolled her eyes with her arms crossed in front of her.

 

“See? See? You are perfect for the job! You are the only one, who has the guts to do that in front of me! You are perfect for handling those rowdy employees I have... you are not the BOMINATOR for nothing!” Baekhyun smirked as Bom pouted

 

“And I am planning on inviting a very good friend of mine to endorse the opening of the bar... he is known as Kris... a famous leading actor... be it action, drama, suspense, horror or comedy... he does it well!” he added

 

“Baek... I know who he is... I have a life also aside from this bar okay? I do get out! I know him... I have seen some of his films already!” Bom rolled her eyes as she stood up and bid Baekhyun goodbye.

 

“I have known him for a long time... I have known that tall guy... he was my kind of guy back then... and he is still my kind of guy today... WU YI FAN... we will meet again...” Bom thought as she went down the stairs and headed for her office.

WHAT IS LOVE- KRIS/BOM PART 1

 

“Kris! I got a call from Baekhyun, he said he wanted to meet with you for lunch today... I’m afraid you are having a photoshoot at that time... what should I do?” Beb, Kris’ manager, asked

 

“Of course... postpone the photoshoot for about  2 hours, Baekhyun is a good friend of mine... Beb, take care of it... thanks!” Kris stated as he went straight for his car, then after a moment he went back and stated,

 

“Where am I supposed to meet Baekhyun?” Kris asked

 

“As expected... meet him at this restaurant!” Beb handed Kris the piece of paper with the directions to the meeting place.

 

Kris headed straight for the restaurant where he was to meet with Baekhyun, without a bodyguard nor a driver, as expected he was easily recognized by the greeters and customers of the restaurant and some even asked for his autograph.

 

He spotted where Baekhyun was seated and headed straight for him.

 

“I knew you weren’t going to turn me down!” Baekhyun stated with a mischievous smile.

 

“As long as you are the one paying for it!” Kris jested as he shook hands and hugged his long time friend.

 

After they have given their respective orders,

 

“So, what is it that you are going to ask me about?” Kris asked

 

“Well, as you know, I own a bar... and I am going to open a new one... I was wondering if you could be a guest there on opening night?” Baekhyun stated, Kris smiled and said

 

“Of course, I am available... tell me when and where and everything will be set!” Kris clapped his hand to assure his friend that he will do it.

 

“I knew I could count on you... kekekekeke... it seems that being friends in highschool with one of the basketball players gives me plus points too.” Baekhyun added as they enjoyed their lunch.

 

“Let my manager worry over my other appointments for that day!” Kris uttered

 

“Okay, then it’s settled... I’ll have my branch manager coordinate with you then.” Baekhyun stated.

In a cab stuck in heavy traffic.

 

“I can’t believe it... after so many years, I am finally going to meet him, once again!” Bom uttered as she was exceptionally giddy, which didn’t escape the eyes of her assistant, Mely.

 

“Do you think he would mind if I asked for his autograph?” Mely asked shyly as they went out of the taxi and decided to just walk the one block to the newly opened BARHOPPER branch, where they were to meet with Kris.

 

It was a good thing they were 30 minutes early to prepare everything they needed to discuss with Kris and the program set up for that day.

 

Then after awhile, a commotion outside the bar was going on, as Kris went out of his car together with his manager, Beb.

 

“I think he’s here!” Bom uttered.

 

“Really? How did you know?” Mely asked

 

“Hear that? Screaming girls!?” Bom pointed out as the doors opened and entered a towering bright and handsome man oozing with appeal.

 

Bom’s mouth was left opened as she stared at the charismatic presence of Kris.

 

“Hello! Good afternoon! I’m sorry we’re a bit late” Kris greeted Bom and shook hands with her, waking her from her trance.

 

“Um... yes... um, good afternoon to you too... I am Park Bom and this is Mely, my assistant!” Bom introduced

 

“Hello... Ms. Park... I am Beb, Kris’ manager.” Beb smiled and shook hands with her.

 

“Oh... pleased to meet you... please be comfortable and just call me Bom.”

 

“Shall we start?” Bom asked looking at Kris and Beb.

 

“Wait. Do you have something to eat here? I am starving!” Kris uttered much to the surprise of Bom.

 

“UM, yeah... I think they have the pantry stocked... will anything edible be fine?” Bom jested

 

“Uh... sure.” Kris smiled back as he looked at Bom’s retreating figure.

 

“I think I’ve seen her somewhere... I just can’t put my finger on it...” Kris uttered as he furrowed his brows trying to think where he has met her.

 

Bom and Mely then walked in the pantry fixing a snack for their guest,

 

“I don’t think he remembers me… oh well, that is my life… I guess I am just not that memorable!” Bom shrugged her shoulders as they brought in the snack for Kris and Beb.

 

“Unnie, fighting!” Mely gave Bom some encouragement as they neared the table where the two were waiting.

 

“I’m sorry it took long… you can eat first before we discuss over the preparations for the program of the opening of the bar.” Bom stated as she seated herself across Kris who was staring hard at her.

 

“Um, we can discuss while we are eating…” Kris paused as he was thinking over whether to ask her or not, “I’m sorry… but I hate to be blunt but… do I know you from somewhere? I mean, you look familiar.”

 

Bom was shocked with the question,

 

“So… he doesn’t remember me then?” Bom thought to herself, she turned shy and her cheeks turned the brightest red,

 

“Actually… you know her… from America… right unnie?” Mely spoke in behalf of her tongue tied senior who just woke up from her stunned look.

 

“Uh… y-yeah… but you might remember me from my American name… Jenny… I am Jenny Park.” Bom stated as she tucked her hair behind her ear.
