Thirteen
The RoommateIt had been three weeks since Jun Seong left, although it seemed like he was still there. The new couple -- although Jonghyun uses the that term loosely -- were either on the phone or video-chatting at all hours of the day. So much so, that when Jun Seong's voice was still ringing through the walls after midnight one Sunday evening, Jonghyun shut the power off. When his father taught him how to do it just in case any emergency should arise, he complained the whole time that it had been a waste of his time.
How wrong he was.
Walking back to his room with the help of his phone screen, he knocked on the door to Seungyeon's room. When he heard no protests, he opened the door.
"Annyeong," Seungyeon's voice trickled through the darkness. "Did the power go out, cause my laptop just shut off. I was talking to Jun Seong-oppa"
"Omo. You were?" he asked, hoping he sounded oblivious. Jonghyun held up his phone to light both their faces. "Sorry," His voice was coated with mock innocence. "Someone on the lower floors must have blown a fuse."
She shrugged. "Whatever. I sort of wanted to get offline anyway."
He leaned against the door frame, his mind overanalyzing what her words meant. Feeling particularly intrusive, he cleared his throat and asked. "So how are things going between you two?
She shrugged again. "I don't know.." She breathed out a laugh. "I mean... we barely know each other. We went out on ONE date."
