Kabuki jumped up and put his hand inside his jacket, looking for his hidden gun. Scream put his switchblade near Minseok’s neck, ready to end his life, until the sounds of the sirens suddenly stopped.

“Sorry, my bad. It was my ringtone.”  Captain Hook waved his phone in the air. 

Everyone turned their heads to him, with expressions of absolute disbelief.

“Bring them back to the room,” gritted Kabuki, his eyes pinned on Captain Hook. “I want to have a word with the idiot.”

“But…” Scream’s voice trailed off.

“Go.”

Scream grabbed the hamster cage and the cuff of Minseok’s shirt, and dragged them back the room. Minseok let out a squeak of surprise, but quickly shut his mouth after Scream tightened his grip.

He pushed Minseok back into the room and carelessly threw the hamster cage in. Sun Hwa was screaming when she fell, and Minseok heard a whimper when the cage hit the ground.

None of them said a word. Minseok’s mind was still reeling from the events, from the sheer absurdity of what actually happened. He couldn’t wrap his mind around it, that teeth were used as a power source, or even as an elixir of life. How would that even work? 

“It’s really complicated,” Sun Hwa said. Minseok jolted, and realized he accidently said that out loud. He sat up, and stared at Sun Hwa. She was sitting with her back leaned on a bar. Her wings fluttered behind her, and her whole body illuminated the room with a soft glow.

“I said the truth when I told him I didn’t know much about it. My job was to get the teeth, and my superiors don’t tell us anything. My boss is a first class jerk. You know, I was about to quit right before they took me. I did not want to get stepped on by a dog or become a bird’s dinner ever again. And flying back to HQ carrying a tooth? Forget it. Being a tooth fairy isn’t that glamourous, trust me Eeyore.”

“Eeyore?” Minseok questioned.

“Oh,” Sun Hwa responded sheepishly. “It’s my nickname for you. You never told me your name, and since you were so gloomy all the time, I nicknamed you Eeyore. After the donkey in Winnie the Pooh. What’s your actual name?”
