Outskirts: Summer

“Don’t you think it’s a bit strange that they are having us do their smuggling?” Sooyoung whisper to Yoona walking a meters away from Jessica who is looking to the window and walking their way to north tunnel. Yoona glance to Jessica and it seems that the latter if bothered

“I . . . . I-I don’t know.” Yoona whisper as her eyes never leave Jessica who is curiously looking outside the window. Sooyoung glance to Yoona and to Jessica and she inner-ly smirk because Yoona seems to be attracted to the latter which is very new to her. She never see this side of Yoona, then she found this interesting.

“I think that woman is important or something.” Sooyoung whisper to Yoona and still Yoona daze to the side profile of the brunette. Sooyoung look over to Jessica

“Hey you! Are you some big-wig’s daughter or something?” Sooyoung call attention of Jessica and Jessica look over to Sooyoung in confusion

“I said if you are some big-wig’s daughter or something?” Sooyoung repeated

“I’m not.” Jessica simply answer and they proceed their way to a broken wall and they by pass through it until they reach a lift and they go down which darkness welcome them. Yoona and Sooyoung switch on their flash lights and a dump basement with some couple of walls break down and some wirings are messed up

“How long are we gonna take?” Jessica curiously ask to Sooyoung and Yoona lead the way while the two are following her

“If everything goes as planned. We should get you to them in a few hours.” Sooyoung said as they crouch through a small passage lead by Yoona

“Jessica, once we get out there, I need you to follow our lead and stay close.” Sooyoung warn Jessica and she nodded

“Yeah, of course.” Jessica said and they already reach the end of a small passage which a ladder welcome them and Yoona climb the ladder and remove the wooden cover leads to outside, Yoona look around and she saw spotlights moving around

“There’s a patrol up ahead. We should be careful.” Yoona said and she climb outside and followed by Sooyoung and Jessica then Yoona close the passageway.

“This rain ain’t gonna do us any good.” Yoona mutter and she proceed to a wasted water way with no water within it and they carefully walk as they anticipated the movement of the patrol.

“Holy . . . . I’m actually outside.” Jessica said in amazement since she never left for a few months outside and she really missed it. Yoona shook her head and she continue the way until they saw delivery truck which the doors are open and it can pass by through the other side and still they are preventing the spotlights so that they will not be spotted. As Yoona leading their way Yoona climb up to the delivery truck

“Up this way.” Yoona said and she stride to the end of the delivery truck. Then a loud thud echoed as a soldier knock out the back of the head of Yoona and she hissed in pain and stumbled to the ground and the soldier aim his Assault rifle to her head

“Don’t do anything stupid.” The soldier said and another soldier pop up as Sooyoung and Jessica widen their eyes and they carefully raise their hands in surrender. Jessica gritted her teeth and of course the ice princess is pissed off to this effing soldiers. Yoona bend down to the ground and she is congealing her  outburst because that might take some risk if she do anything stupid so she just clench her fist to the ground while Sooyoung clench her jaws and raise her hands in surrender

“Move.” The soldier said and the two obeyed

“Turn around. On your knees.” The soldier strictly said while they are aiming their assault rifle to them. Jessica and Sooyoung obey and they bend their knees on the ground and their hands are raised

“Scan them.” The soldier said and the other soldier took out the infection scanner

“Now put your hands of your head.” The soldier commanded and they do it carefully and Jessica deathly glared the soldier

“This is Lee at sector 12. Requesting pickup for three stragglers.” The soldier said to his transmission radio

“Understood.”

Then the soldier look to Sooyoung and aim his gun and he put the scanner to the neck of Sooyoung

“Look the other way. We can make this worth your while.” Sooyoung said and she smirk

“Shut up.” The soldier replied and he goes next to Yoona and pointed her gun and put the scanner to her neck. Yoona gritted her teeth because swear she really wanted to rip this soldiers apart.

“I’m getting tired of this .” The soldier mutter and the result is the same as Sooyoung, they are both clean and then the soldier go next to Jessica as she is readying herself then she felt the scanner to her neck

“What’s the ETA?” The soldier said to the other as he look away to Jessica while he is doing the scanning

“Couple a minutes.” The other soldier respond and Jessica heard the beep sound which means the scanning is done

“Oh man. Oh man.” Jessica mutter in panic so she quickly grab her pocket knife and she stab the thigh of the soldier and the soldier groan in pain. Then Yoona and Sooyoung look over to Jessica in shock, as Jessica grab the wrist of the injured soldier and trying steal the gun but the soldier hit the head of Jessica which she stumble on the ground and hissed in pain and the soldier aim the gun readying to shoot but Yoona is fast enough to steal the gun and she head shot the soldier. Then Sooyoung shot the other soldier and they are both laying lifelessly to the ground

“Oh . . . Oh. !” Jessica curse as she back herself and lean to a cargo box near and she almost got an heart attack because she almost got killed

“I thought we were just gonna hold them up or something.” Jessica said in her breathe and she release another sigh of relief. Sooyoung grab infection scanner on the ground and she look to it and widen her eyes

“Oh .” Sooyoung exclaimed

“Yoong. Look.” Sooyoung said and she toss the scanner to Yoona and as soon as Yoona saw it she also widen her eyes as she saw ‘infected’ as the result of the scanner

“Jesus Christ.” Yoona exclaimed and she glance over to Sooyoung

“That midget set us up?” Yoona hissed in anger. Jessica widen her eyes and Sooyoung glared Jessica

“Why the hell are we smuggling an INFECTED GIRL?” Yoona emphasize and she death glare to Jessica who is now mouth agape and she shook her head

“I-I’m not infected.” Jessica said as a matter of fact but her voice is cracking. Yoona and Sooyoung pissed to the answer of the latter

“No?” Yoona said in her sarcastic tone

“So was this lying?” Yoona said in furious tone and toss the scanner to Jessica and she look over to it and look back to the furious Yoona.

“I-I can explain.” Jessica panickly said and Sooyoung walk over to Jessica and she pointed her 9mm revolver

“Better explain fast.” Sooyoung warned. Jessica fold her long-sleeves on the right showing her bite mark on her forearm and Yoona widen her eyes

“Look at this!” Jessica said as she look to Sooyoung and Yoona

“It’s three weeks old.” Jessica said as a matter of fact and Yoona really got pissed and she turn her back to Jessica because she can’t take it. Sooyoung look to Jessica

“No. Everyone turns within two days.” Sooyoung scolded and she pointed her gun to Jessica

“So you stop bullting!” Sooyoung shouted.

“It’s three weeks I swear!” Jessica trying to convince the two.

“There is no way Taengo will set you up . . . she . . “ Jessica said in her sincere tone and she knew Taeyeon never do that. Sooyoung glance over to Yoona and she walk closer to the latter and she touch the shoulder of Yoona and she notice Yoona bailed fist and clench her jaws

“I ain’t buying it.” Yoona said in her not-convinced tone and she walk away. Jessica glance over to Yoona and she felt hurt as her heart clench for some unknown reason and Sooyoung glance to Jessica. Yoona widen her eyes as she saw the military truck are going to their way

“Holy .” Yoona curse

“Soo, run.” Yoona mutter and she quickly run away and Sooyoung panic and grab the wrist of Jessica
