“Good morning…” The new residences mumbled their greetings. It was hard to be cheery and energetic at 4 am on their first day.

“Hahahaha… You all look like zombies. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it later.” There were groans from the youngster, already regretting doing their residency at KimSung Hospital. The older doctor just laughed, he saw this every year. Half of the residence never completed their residency at all but those who did, let’s just say, they won in their life.

“This is something I don’t want to get used to…” Sungjong mumbled as he leaned to his new friend, yawning.

I handle the General Surgery Department where some of you will be stationed there. Let’s see… Dr. Lee, Dr. Kim… You two with me. The rest… Uhm… other doctor will pick you up, so just wait here.” They could only stare at the chief, feeling absolutely lost. L nudged Sungjong awake and followed the chief, sighing that he was put together with the girly boy. The others didn’t wait long, another chief came and picked those they wanted.

“I lost the bet with other departments… Hahahahaha… So I had to pick the least talented.” Sungjong pouted but Dongwoo patted his back warmly, laughing. Sungjong couldn’t help but to laugh along. He noticed L was staring at him, he was at the top of his class, Dongwoo’s words didn’t made sense.

“And a friend asked for help.” Dongwoo said silently so that only L heard him. He naturally knew who the friend was.

Dongwoo took them to an unnecessary tour, mainly because he was bored. They started from the lower ground up the floor 18 and Dongwoo was being so energytic about his tour, he didn’t noticed L was sulking. Sungjong somehow noticed something weird.

“Why did we skip floor 19, Chief?” Dongwoo suddenly stopped, causing Sungjong to run onto his back.

“That is restricted area. No one is allowed there.” Dongwoo’s glare was icy, cold and he was directing his words at L.

“But why?” Sungjong’s curiousity was piqued at his words. Nothing was more interesting than something forbidden to him.
