 Something was off but Junmyeon didn't know what. Even his life was getting better and happier that Kyungsoo's already returned  but there's still an uneasiness feelings growing inside him each day. It's slowly suffocating him and he couldn't just ignore it.

It's  all because of how Kris acted around him lately. It's not that he was observing but it's so obvious of how his boss has changed. The warm brown eyes which used to make Junmyeon drowned in it, now replaced with a dark and cold gaze that make him shivered, Kris's thin lips that used to flashed him a bright, charming smile and cute pout, now sealed tight, hiding all of his charm. The deep velvety voice which used to and let out the most beautiful laugh he ever seen, now dripping with coldness whenever he talk and all of these breaking Junmyeon's heart painfully.  

It's make him remembered the cold and scary Kris Wu that he met for the first time, and Junmyeon doesn't like it one bit. 

He tried remember back whether he might do anything wrong with his job or say something offensive towards the man but he couldn't grasped anything. The only last things he remembered was the wide smile on Kris's lips after the pizza family date on last Saturday and when he come back for work at Monday, everything has changed. He couldn't help but wonder what'd happened in between. 

He opted to asked Luhan about it but strange enough, Luhan also acting weird around him lately. There's no more loud and obnoxious Luhan that he knew, and Junmyeon often notice that the chinese man had something in his mind, like there's something he wanted to talk or ask to Junmyeon but so far, nothing come up from his mouth. Junmyeon decided to just wait and see instead of asking because maybe Luhan just feeling a bit down since his one month vacation almost come to the end and this past few days he rarely see that man much as Luhan spend more time at Yixing's place.

Junmyeon doesn't know who else should he asks and he felt lost. 

But still there's a good thing for him. The siblings at least still treated him as usual and Junmyeon felt really glad about that because it's means he does nothing wrong with his job so far.

Well, that what's he thought. 

Jumyeon couldn't help but questioned it when one night before he ended his duty as usual, Kris suddenly call him to his reading room for a talk and the stern look on his face makes Junmyeon's stomach dropped.

He must be doing something wrong. He knew it.

"Who's Kyungsoo?"

Junmyeon was taken aback. He never expected that question to come up to be honest.There's an unreadable expression from Kris's face when he asked that question but his cold and icy voice makes Junmyeon's heart felt a slight pang. 

"Uh. H-he's my friend. W-why sir? " Junmyeon's voice is timid and he cursed internally for stuttering. 

"Mr Kim, you do know that I don't like too many people involved with my sons right? "

Junmyeon felt another painful pang by the sudden formality but he quickly brushed it aside and slowly nodded." Yes sir.."

"I don't care if that person is your friend or even your girlfriend or boyfriend, whether you think they're trustable and harmless or not, but as long as they're a stranger to me,i don't want any of them getting close to my sons. You need to remember, you wasn't just their nanny, but their bodyguard too. Your job is supposed to protect them and i do appreciate it if you make that as your top priorities." That cold words stabbing right into Junmyeon's heart and he was  dumbstruck.

He do let Kyungsoo meet the boys a few days ago since his bestfriend keep asking about it non stop. He thought there's nothing wrong about that because it just Kyungsoo but he should have been more sensitive. He should thought the possibility that Kris might won't like it. 

Stupid Junmyeon! 

Junmyeon gnawed his bottom lips nervously . "I'm really sorry Kris—uh Mr Wu. I'll make sure that this won't happen again in the future. I'll be more careful about this." He ended up with a slight bow. 

Kris sighed, heavy."Good then. I hope you will keep your words. That's all..you can leave now."

Junmyeon slowly look up and he saw how tired the other man is. Kris used both of his hands to support his head on the table and his right fingers keep massaging his temple. It's not that Junmyeon doesn't notice about the obvious black ring start forming around his boss's eyes and as long as he knew, Kris was the type who really take a serious care of his facial skin. There's no eyebag or single pimples allowed to be there before this.

Could he possibly worrying about something or having a hard time at company? Maybe he is and  that's might explained the sudden change of his action lately..

"Mr Wu.." Junmyeon called softly and the other man quickly drop his hand and looked up. There's a slight confusion and surprise flashed in that brown orbs for a second, like Kris doesn't expected him to still standing right there. 

"A-are you okay? You doesn't look well.."Junmyeon asked with a careful tone.

Kris doesn't reply anything but stare at him and there's that unreadable expression on his face again. Junmyeon suddenly felt uncomfortable, he shifted his weight on his foot and fidgeting under that intense stare. 

After feel like forever, his boss finally clear his throat and coldly replied. "I'm fine but it's not something you should care about, Mr Kim. I don't need your concern."

Junmyeon's heart shattered and he froze there. When the words fully sanked in his mind, he shakily nodded. "I understand and I'm sorry again Mr Wu. I didn't mean to be nosy or something. I should leave now."

He bowed a bit and quickly walked towards the door. His heart suddenly aches so bad and he need to be out of there immediately. 

Junmyeon, that's the obvious hint and you really need to stop this stupid feelings.

"You looked like ."

Junmyeon scowl. "Thanks Kyungie. That's a very sweet way to say hi." 

Kyungsoo ignored him and quickly walk past his best friend into the apartment. He toed off his shoes and headed straight to the kitchen, placing the paper bag he brought along on the dining table. "What's happened? Spill." 

Junmyeon who followed from behind, groaned and plopped down on his usual seat. He plant his face flat on the table and whined "Nothing happened."

He heard a few rustling then, probably Kyungsoo searching for a plate to served whatsoever food he brought this time and when a very delicious smell suddenly filled his nostrils, Junmyeon lifted his head from the table. Kyungsoo carefully placed a plate of lasagna in front of him and Junmyeon's mouth watered. 

"It's Baked Fettuccine Lasagna. My boyfriend made that. Now eat, and tell me everything. I had all night to listen."

Junmyeon huffed. "You can't bribe me to talk with food!"

Kyungsoo snorted." You'll talk too even without the food. So, stop whining like a baby and start talk." 

Junmyeon scowled. He hate it sometime when Kyungsoo can read him like an open book but he really need someone to talk with right now and he know Kyungsoo was the one. 

 He told his bestfriend everything that night, including how Kris suddenly changed and turned into some cold-blooded guy and he  even tell about the small talk they had earlier. 

"You can't easily assumed things Myeonnie. Maybe he doesn't mean it that way. " Kyungsoo finally comment after patiently heard Junmyeon's whole story. 

" No. It's so obvious Kyungie.. I should give up on this " Junmyeon replied hopelessly. 

"Why? Doesn't you said he was giving you a good response last time? From what you've told me, he's definitely flirting with you buddy." Kyungsoo said again, patting his shoulder. 

"Uh hell no. I must misread his actions that time. He just being nice to me, maybe because he's in a good mood and happy to spend time with his sons or something.." Junmyeon stand up, leaving the empty plate in the sink and headed to living room. Kyungsoo quickly trailed behind. 

"You're so negative you know. Can't you be a bit more optimistic? There's must be a reasons for his sudden change and it might not as you thought" Kyungsoo said while landing himself besides Junmyeon on the couch. The latter ignored him and turn on the tv, pretending to look interested on the drama currently playing on the screen. 

Kyungsoo huffed. "Junmyeon.." 

No response. 

"Kim Junmyeon..."

Silent. 

Kyungsoo finally exploded. "Yahhhh Kim Junmyeon! I'm talking to you!" 

"What?!" Junmyeon cried. 

"Don't act this way. I hate to see you like this." 

Junmyeon sighed and leaned closer to his bestfriend. "I know.I'm sorry."

Kyungsoo wrapped his arms around Junmyeon's shoulder and dragged him closer." It's okay. I'm sure everything gonna be fine. Besides, he's not the only guy in this world though"

The bodyguard rested his head on the smaller man's shoulder and pout. "I know..."

Kyungsoo chuckled and squeezed his shoulder." But he's the only one you really want right now,  right? "

Junmyeon groaned." Shut up. It's not like i can control my feelings and what my heart wants"

Kyungsoo chuckled. "Hey, it's okay. It's not a crime to fall in love. Whatever it is, you know I'm always here right?"  Another squeeze on his shoulder. 

Junmyeon nodded. "Yeah.."
