Part 2

Misunderstanding

A Misunderstanding Part 2.

“So… was that Kim Taeyeon. The guy you were talking about?” questioned a good looking young man turning to the brunette beside him.

“Yep. Thanks again for helping him. I’m pretty sure you know the whole situation.”

“Of course I do. I’m Ok Taecyeon.” the young man chuckled. “And don’t worry about it. Anything for you.”

A smile came across the brunette’s lips. The two walked quietly through the campus not saying one word. Coming to park bench they sat down.

“You know… there’s a lot of people out there who know Taeyeon is innocent right?” Taecyeon spoke not looking at the brunette.

“H-How do you know?” confusion was now evident on Tiffany’s face.

“Honestly, I’ve known Taeng before the whole incident happened. He’s a real sweet guy, a good gentle man actually. But his personality just doesn’t seem to with someone who’d have before marriage you know. Plus I have never seen Taeyeon and Yoona kiss. Which was weird because Yoona got pregnant around their second anniversary, and throughout those two years they didn’t do anything beside hold hands and hug.”

Tiffany just nodded her head, she wanted to know more.

“But I know he’s innocent and the guys know he’s innocent because we saw Yoona making out with Yul.”

A gasp was heard from Tiffany. “Really?!”

“Yup. The guys and I were headed to the weight room and as we entered, we saw Yul and Yoona eating each other’s faces. We didn’t say anything since you know, they’re Kwons. Scary family.” sighed Taeyeon.

“Soo…” A brilliant idea came to Tiffany’s mind, and a giant grin appeared.

Eyes fluttered open. Pain was the first thing he felt, once he was fully awake. A groan escaped his lips. He looked around the room before he realized he was in the infirmary. He closed his eyes shut as he thought back to the fight. And all he remembered were Jessica’s worried eyes.

“Jessica…” he whispered.

Trying to get up, he felt weight on his left shoulder. He slowly moved his head to get a better view. But all he saw was something yellow or gold resting on him. His eyes widened when he had finally realized who or what was resting on him. It was no other than Jessica Jung.

“Jessica… wake up…” said Taeyeon in a raspy voice.

“Hmm…?”

“Wake up…” he continue nudging the girl.

“T-Taengoo…?” Jessica’s voice slurred as she rubbed her forehead on Taeyeon’s arm.

“Jessica… what’s a Taengoo?” question Taeyeon with an eyebrow raised.

“OH! Taeyeon you’re awake!” exclaimed Jessica sitting up abruptly; finally awake. Hoping Taeyeon had forget what she called him.

“…Err… were you here the whole time?”

“…Umm.. Yeah…” she yawned.

“You didn’t have to wait for me to get up.” smiled Taeyeon weakly.

“It’s alright I wanted to see if you were well.” Jessica said helping Taeyeon sit up.

A groan was heard and a worried expression appeared on Jessica’s face. The blonde quickly handed Taeyeon the glass of water and pills. After chugging down the glass of water, Taeyeon looked up at Jessica. “Thank you… You’ve done so much for me already… I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done.” he smiled sincerely.

“Don’t worry about it, we’re friends aren’t we?”

Little did they both know that their hearts ached with the word friends.

The two kept silent. Their eyes wandered around the room until their gazes met. Jessica’s heart began to beat faster as they held their gazes. By just staring at Taeyeon’s dark brown orbs, she felt all warm and fuzzy inside. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink; she quickly looked away.

“So…erm… should we go and pick up Seohyun?” Jessica question avoiding the latter’s eyes.

“Sure.”

It’s been a little more than a month since Jessica saw Taeyeon from the window. It’s been a little more than a month since they ate dinner together with the Hwangs. And it has been a little over three weeks more or less since the whole Yul incident, and Jessica had grown fond of Taeyeon.

Its Friday night, just a little after six, and the blonde was busy with getting ready. She was in her shared apartment with Tiffany Hwang; getting dressed for tonight’s usual outing. As the clock struck six thirty, the young lady placed final touches of make up, grabbed her keys, and made her way out the door.

Her white BMW made a stop at a local apartment complex. The area seemed unsafe, but it was the only place her dear companion could afford. Quickly pulling out her iPhone she dialed for her companion. Trying to get her friend to hurry up and get downstairs.

Fifteen minutes of waiting, a figure came out of the door. A smile formed on her lips as the back door opened. A figure placed a car seat down, and in came a happy four year old, who was excited to be able to stay up late. Jessica who was sitting in the driver’s seat, climbed out. She walked to the other side of the car and gave the latter a brief hug before setting herself down in the passenger seat.

“Ready to go?” smiled Taeyeon getting in the driver’s seat.

Both Jessica and little Seohyun nodded. And off they went for their weekend fun. The car ride was short, but the three of them had fun during the drive. The white BMW stopped in front of a giant building. Taeyeon had told Jessica to take Seohyun inside while he went to go park the car. As the little girl was out and back door shut, the car zoomed away.

Jessica felt a little hand wiggle into hers. A smile formed on her lips as the two entered a brightly lit building. Seohyun who got a good view of the place became extremely excited. Jessica couldn’t help but giggle at the four year old. Seohyun’s eyes were glowing. If only Taeyeon was there to see this. It was adorable.

It wasn’t before long Taeyeon entered the building. He wore a cap that hid his face; he always wore it whenever Jessica was with him, fearing he’d harm the girl if anyone saw them together. The latter walked around dodging running toddlers to children to pre-teens. He had picked today’s outing so him and Jessica could also have fun with little Seohyun.

If anyone were to ask him if today was a date. He wouldn’t even call it a date, but rather a mini hang out with his “daughter” and close female companion. But if someone had asked him if he had grew fond of Jessica, he’d answer honestly with a nod. But he was still unsure.

“Taeng!” called a rather high pitch voice, motioning him closer.

A smile appeared on Taeyeon’s face as he turned to see Jessica with Seohyun. He let out a chuckle with the sight of Seohyun, who was still quite amused with the place. He picked Seohyun up and all three headed to buy tokens. The two college students both fought about who would pay the bill, but with Taeyeon’s quickness. He had handed the cashier his credit card before Jessica could rebuttal. A smile of victory was plastered on Taeyeon’s face while Jessica pouted, earning them a giggle from little Seohyun who witnessed everything.

The three of them went from game machine to game machine. Earning tickets with every play. To a stranger they’d seem like a happy family. The three of them shared laughter at each failure. Just as they had come down to their last ten tokens, Seohyun had dragged both Taeyeon and Jessica to a crane machine. Taeyeon's eyebrow raised as he looked down at little Seohyun. As he looked at the content of the machine he had finally understood.

“Pwease…?” begged Seohyun showing a toothy grin.

Jessica who seemed confused looked up at Taeyeon. The latter took a token from the cup Jessica was holding before speaking, “Seohyunnie loves Keroro… a lot.”

Jessica nodded and eyed the four year old. She was quite amused with the little girl. Her nose was pressed against the glass as she stared at the claw. The blonde’s eyes trailed from the little four year old to the claw, then to Taeyeon’s concentrated face. She found it rather cute how the latter stuck his tongue out while concentrating. But to their dismay the Keroro plushie had slipped from the claw. A frown had replaced the smile on Seohyun’s face. Seeing Seohyun’s sad face, it made Taeyeon feel more obligated to get the plushie with full determination.

“Don’t worry, appa will get Keroro for you…” Taeyeon smiled putting another token into the machine.

After trying for the third time, they had finally gotten Seohyun’s most desired prize. All feeling hungry Jessica went to grab them a table while Taeyeon went to order food. Seohyun, who still had plenty of energy left within her, had followed Taeyeon to buy more tokens. Jessica sat alone at a table, she could clearly see all of the arcade games and course the front, where Taeyeon and Seohyun were. She watched the two siblings or father daughter mess around, causing her to giggle to herself. The sight had led her to think about her future husband and their future daughter or son. She wished her future husband is as playful as Taeyeon is with Seohyun. She wished her future husband would be as sweet and caring to their child like how Taeyeon is with Seohyun.

Her eyes drifted away from the two siblings and to the other people. Families with three year olds to fourteen years were here playing games. Groups of young teens were either messing around at the older games or either sitting to eat or gossip. As her eyes scanned the whole area, her eyes landed on a particular little girl. Staring at the girl for a good minute, her eyes widened when she realized who the three year old was. It was Eun Mi… her niece. Taeyeon and Yoona’s supposed child.

“Eun Mi…”

A gasp escaped her lips as she watched her niece run toward a figure… more like figures. Eyes widening when she realized who those figures were. They were her cousins, Yul and Yoona. She was now confused. Very very confused to be exact. Yul had specifically had said that Yoona had run away and couldn’t find her. But here they were with Eun Mi…

“Jessica?” a husky voice called her causing her to jump.

The blonde looked up at the newcomer with a weak smile.

“Is everything alright Jessica?” questioned Taeyeon sitting beside the latter.

“Uhmm…I-I think… w-we… s-should… go soon.” said Jessica in a panicked voice.

“Why…? Is there something wrong?” a worried expression was now evident on Taeyeon’s face.

“Yul… Y-Yoona… and Eun Mi… they’re all… here.” she said in almost a whisper.

“T-They're here? I-I thought Yoona… ran away…”

“I thought so too… we better go before they see us.” said Jessica getting up from her seat.

The two quickly looked around trying to find little Seohyun. Panic was beginning to take over. After ten minutes of searching they had found the little girl in front of the claw machine. Quickly but in a less suspicious way, they took Seohyun and quickly left the building.

“A-Appa!” whined Seohyun.

“Sorry, Seohyun. We couldn’t stay any longer.”

“B-But…”

“Seohyun, I’ll buy you a Keroro when I get the chance. I promise.” smiled Taeyeon placing the four year old in her car seat.

Jessica was impressed. Despite the fact Taeyeon is only twenty two, he knew how to properly take care of the child. Respect goes to him.

The ride was quiet. Five minutes into the ride Seohyun had completely knocked out. And both Taeyeon and Jessica didn’t feel like talking after spotting Yoona. Taeyeon’s grip on the steering wheel became tighter, he sighed. He was angry. Yul blamed him for Yoona’s disappearance, when Yul himself knew where she was. As for Jessica, she could only stare at the poor twenty two year old. Both were too confused and upset with the latest events.

Upon arriving back home at Taeyeon’s area, it was already nine o'clock. With a bit of convincing Taeyeon got Jessica to come inside. With Seohyun peacefully sleeping in his arms, he swiftly led Jessica into his apartment. To the young blonde’s surprise the apartment wasn’t as small as she thought it would be.

When you entered the door there was the living room on the right, and a little doorway was on the left which led to the kitchen. If you went through the kitchen you’d face the dining room, to the left of the dining room was the living, and to the right was a door. Seohyun’s room. And on the left of that door, was Taeyeon’s room.

Following Taeyeon to Seohyun’s room, she was surprised the room was Keroro themed. A smile formed on her lips at the thought of Taeyeon taking the time to paint the walls green and buying posters for Seohyun to put up. The blonde was quite amused with the collections of Keroro plushies as she had ranged from small plushies to life size ones. The young girl watched Taeyeon swiftly move the Keroro comforter and placed the sleeping child gently on the bed. She watched Taeyeon pull off Seohyun’s shoes and put them back in a row of little shoes. She was also touched when she saw Taeyeon tuck her in followed by a kiss on her forehead.

The two were now alone on the couch holding a cup of warm hot chocolate. Silence filled the room, but it wasn’t awkward; they enjoyed each other’s company. Jessica sat quietly with her legs crossed, slowly sipping her drink. She silently sat alone with Taeyeon; she couldn’t help but think of the events with Tiffany last week.

FLASHBACK:

Two Korean Americans sat on a brown leather couch enjoying the American television series Teen Wolf. Tiffany who was dying to ask something, finally got the courage to ask her childhood friend. Quickly turning to her left, catching the blonde by surprise, the brunette showed the latter a giant grin.

“So… Jessie…” smile the brunette.

“What is it Tiff?” questioned the blonde not moving her gaze off the flat screen.

“Since you’ve stolen my oppa from me… do you like him?” she questioned mischievously.

“What type of question is that? Of course I like him, he’s a good friend.”

A frown was shown on the brunette’s face, “Not like that! But like… like like him. Like a crush.”

The blonde couldn’t help but blush. Causing the brunette to squeal “You do like him!”

“N-No I don’t.”

“Don’t lie! I know you do! You’re blushing, so YOU DO LIKE HIM! AAAHHH!”

“Geez calm down. I don’t even know if he likes me…” said Jessica with a frown.

“Trust me he likes you.” Tiffany giggled.

“And how do you know that?”

“He spends all his free time with you, besides go home to write. He texts you in the morning with a good morning and he wishes you a good day. He doesn’t even do that for me!” pouted Tiffany.

“Have you been going through my phone?!”

“No… your phone is just loud so I went to go look at it.” giggled Tiffany.

“…wow… but I eh… that doesn’t mean anything.”

“You should confess…”

“I don’t know…”

“You should.”

Jessica’s flashback ended when Taeyeon finally spoke up.

“I had fun today…” smiled Taeyeon.

"I did too… thanks for treating me out.” said Jessica returning him a smile.

The atmosphere became quiet all over again, but it wasn’t awkward. It was rather comforting. Jessica was about to say something until she caught Taeyeon staring at her. Her cheeks began to feel warm as they continued to stare into each other’s eyes. Before Jessica knew it, she was lost in his eyes finding herself leaning closer.

Meters became centimeters and centimeters became millimeters. She moved her gaze to up to Taeyeon’s mesmerizing brown orbs down to his pimp plump lips. She swallowed the lump that was caught in . After scanning his lips she moved her gaze up to his eyes. And before she knew it, his lips had landed on hers. They eyes closed in unison, savoring the moment.

The kiss was slow at first. As seconds passed by, the two became lost in the moment. Taeyeon’s tongue slid across Jessica’s bottom lip asking for entry. The latter was a bit hesitant at first, but gave Taeyeon entry anyways. Their hearts pounded faster and faster. The two were both in a middle of a tongue battle, fighting for dominance. Taeyeon brought his arms up and cupped Jessica’s cheeks. As for Jessica she brought her hands up to Taeyeon’s cheeks sliding it down to his neck, down to his chest. After minutes of a make-out session the two broke off of each other. Foreheads leaning against each other. A smile plastered on each other’s faces as they stared at each other’s eyes.

A giggle was heard causing Taeyeon and Jessica to abruptly pull away from each other. Both madly blushing with the sight of little Seohyun standing in front of them. Both curious to how long she has been standing there.

“Uh… Seohyun how long have you been standing there?” questioned Taeyeon as he cleared his through.

“Wong enough to see kissy kissy.” smiled Seohyun.

Taeyeon cleared his throat again. “Uh… sweetie why are you awake?”

“Because I’m wungry.” the girl pouted.

A smile formed on Jessica’s face, “How about we make appa cook for us?”

“Okay!” cheered the little girl.

With that Jessica sat Seohyun down at a dining chair. While Taeyeon went to go cook some Raymun. The atmosphere was quiet both too embarrassed about the past even.

“Jesshika unnie… are you going to be my mommy?” Seohyun questioned.

The blonde choked on her drink. “Uhm… I don’t know sweetie…” she tried to calmly say.

“I want you to be my new mommy… Appa said umma dwied from a car accident… and appa is happy now because of woo!” smiled the four year old.

Jessica felt her cheeks become warm, she turned to the man of the house, who had his head low. A chuckle escaped the blonde’s lips before facing Seohyun, “Your appa makes me happy too.”

The four year old ran up to her so called father. “Can Jesskika Unnie be my umma?!” she pleaded.

Taeyeon picked the little girl up. “If you want…” he faced Jessica. “She can be your umma.” he winked.

The blonde felt her cheeks grow even more warmer. But she knew what that meant, she had to be added in a little like to keep the girl happy.

“Yay!” exclaimed the four year old.

“Now now… calm down. Let’s eat our ramyun.” said the young father placing Seohyun down in her seats a long with her bowl of ramyun.

“I have an umma!” she cheered before she ate her food.

As Taeyeon placed a bowl down for Jessica he whispered, "Sorry you’re dragged into this… she likes you a lot.”

“It’s okay…” smiled Jessica assuringly.

The three ate their bowls of Ramyun, when they were down , the so called “parents” of the four year old had tucked her back into bed. And now they were once again alone for the night. It was silent but rather a bit awkward now… The two quietly cleaned up the mess.

Once they were finished Jessica was about to bed farewell when Taeyeon spoke up.

“Spend the night…” his proposal came out as a whisper.

“It’s okay… I think Tiffany will be waiting for me.”

“She’s probably already sleeping… I insist. It’s too late for a lady to be driving this late at night.”

“I-I…”

“Just listen.” huffed Taeyeon.

“O-Okay then… thanks.”

After showering and changing into the clothes Taeyeon had given her, she silently laid on the latter’s bed. A deep sigh escaped the blonde’s lips. So much had happened today, but she couldn’t help but rethink about them. But her mind drifted to something that brought a giant smile on her face. She had kissed Taeyeon today. She bit her bottom lip, for she couldn’t contain her happiness.

Taking another deep breathe in, the smell of coconuts and clean laundry filled her nose. It was Taeyeon’s scent, the addicting smell. She took a deep breath in and a deep breathe out. The blonde spent the rest of the time sniffing his bed sheets before falling asleep.

“Your appa makes me happy too…” Jessica’s words replayed in his mind over and over again, he let out a contented smile.

A tall brunette sat on a brown couch. He brought his fingers up to his lips. He had kissed Jessica Jung… A sigh escaped his semi dry lips as he laid down. Today was quite something, but he enjoyed today very much.

Eyes fluttering open, the lump in the middle of the bed sat up. Eyes adjusting to the room, the latter remembered that she isn’t in her own room. Rubbing her eyes, she slowly crawled out of her bed and exited the room.

Quietly walking to the kitchen, she abruptly made a stop when she heard something or someone whimpering. She silently walked toward the living, where she found Taeyeon tossing and turning. The blonde frowned with the sight of Taeyeon in pain.

“D-Don’t do this Yul… S-Stop…” Taeyeon whimpered. “This isn’t h-how you t-treat y-your s-seniors…”

The blonde knelt down beside him. Taeyeon was dreaming about Yul, but what is Yul doing to him? Questions flooded Jessica’s mind. Is Taeyeon dreaming about the past? If so, what did Yul do to him? Is there more to what her and Tiffany know about what really happened?

“S-Stop… P-Please… S-Stop…” Taeyeon begged.

Jessica ran her fingertips through Taeyeon’s short hair. It had somewhat calmed the latter down. “Shh… It’s okay… I’m here….” she whispered.

After calming Taeyeon down, the blonde forgot about her thirst and headed back to the bedrooms. Before entering Taeyeon’s bedroom, Jessica decided she should check up on little Seohyun. Slowly opening the door, Jessica poked her head in. Quietly walking, she made her way to the sleeping child.

She felt sad for the little one. Not knowing that her father and mother had died when she was barely even one. And that the boy she calls her appa is no other than her older brother, who is doing his very best to raise her. It must have been hard for Taeyeon, the fact he was only nineteen when their parents left them. Plus a nineteen year old raising up a child, must have been very difficult.

Kneeling beside Taeyeon’s little sister, Jessica brushed away a few strands of Seohyun’s hair. The latter kissed the child’s forehead. “I’m sorry you have to go through this… my family has done your family wrong. Grow up to be a good child… When you find out the truth, please don’t be overwhelmed. Your appa Taeyeon is doing his best for you. Don’t feel overwhelmed about it, you have Taeyeon appa, Tiffany unnie, and now your Jessica umma.”

A smile formed on her lips. “Umma…” she giggled. She liked that title she had received from the girl. It was, cute.

Slowly rising, she let out a sigh. The blonde silently left the room, closing the door behind.

Crawling into bed. Jessica laid down staring at the ceiling. Not once had she ever felt so disappointed in her family. It was very upsetting that her parents could be so cruel to someone so innocent. She had always thought her parents were really great people. Nice people who raised their children well. Caring people who donated to many charities, but were they only doing that to cover their wrong doings? Questions began to flood her mind. A sigh escaped her lips before she succumbed to sleep.

“Umma….”cooed a little girl.

The four year old nudged the lump in the middle of the bed. Without any sign of movement, Seohyun began to nudge the lump harder. “Umma! Wake up!”

The blonde stirred, a yawn escaped her lips as her eyes fluttered opened. Slowly gathering her senses, she felt a pair of small hands pushing her back and forth blinking a few times, she eyed the pouting four year old.

“M-Morning…” smiled Jessica.

“Umma! Appa is making bweakfast!”

“Okay, I’ll be out soon.”

The blonde slowly got off of the bed. She slowly made her way toward the bathroom. Quickly splashing water on her face, she gargled some water then exited. Upon opening the bathroom the smell of pancakes filled the air.

“Morning.” greeted Taeyeon as he flipped a pancake over.

“Morning.” smiled Jessica sitting at the table.

The room was quiet, until Seohyun the television. The sound of Keroro filled the room. Both Taeyeon and Jessica didn’t share any words. After the kiss it was rather awkward, but they pushed the event aside. Both fearing they’ll lose each other because of the kiss.

“Seohyun sit down, breakfast is finally finished.”

The four year old sprung from the coach and ran to the dining chair. Climbing in, she stared at her favorite breakfast meal. Her eyes watched Taeyeon place a pancake on her plate. She her lips, ready to devour it.

Jessica who was sitting in front of Seohyun couldn’t help but chuckle. She found it amusing that Seohyun was eyeing her food like a prey eyeing their predator. But what surprised her is the organic syrup  Whenever Taeyeon and her had breakfast together at school, Taeyeon never gotten anything organic. Heck, he didn’t eat anything organic in front of her.

“Hope you don’t mind organic syrup. Seohyun prefers organic sweets. And don’t ask me how she found out organic is good…” said Taeyeon pouring syrup for Seohyun .

“No it’s fine. I bet when Seohyun grows up she’ll be a doctor with her view of health.” smiled Jessica.

“I bet so too.”

The three ate their breakfast like a happy family. Talking, laughed, and joked with one another. With the thought of the kiss pushed away, the awkwardness was gone. It was back to friendly Jessica and Taeyeon, who are very close with one another.

Just as Jessica was about to say something, her phone began to ring. Quickly grabbing her iPhone, she answered. “Hello…?”

“Jessie! Where are you?!” yelled a voice on the other line.

“Tiffany Hwang, it’s too early in the morning to be yelling.”

“Well sorrryyyy for being concerned about your whereabouts.”

Taeyeon walked toward Jessica pulling the phone from her hand. “Yah, she would call you if she was in grave danger. But she’s safe. She’s with me.”

“Taeyeon…?”

“Noooo…. It’s Taecyeon. I stole your best friend and cheated on you with her.” mocked Taeyeon.

“Hey! Be nice to me! And don’t say that! I almost believed you.”

A chuckle escaped the young man’s lip. Undoubtedly Tiffany would be pouting right now. “You’re so gullible Fany~ah. But anyways, we’re having breakfast. So goodbye Miyoung.”

“Yah!” was the last thing Tiffany said before Taeyeon hung up on her. A smile plastered on his face; Jessica on the other hand felt jealousy build. Why was she jealous anyways? Tiffany had Taecyeon, and Taeyeon had kissed her… but why? Well maybe because she wasn’t the source of his smile.

“So Jessica… you busy today?” questioned the brunette handing the blonde her phone.

“Usually on Saturdays I sleep in… but since I’m awake… I’m free.”

“Sleeping beauty as always.” Chuckled Taeyeon causing the latter to blush. “Since you’re free want to go with Seohyun and I to the zoo?”

“Zoo! Umma lets go to da zoo!” cheered Seohyun.

“Of course, I’d join you guys to the zoo. But Taeng… can we stop by my apartment? I want to get some clothes to change in to.”

“No Problem.”

Two figures lad in the middle of the bed cuddling. A nicely built young man held on to his partner’s hands while playing with her fingers. A sigh escaped his partners lips, causing the young lad to look at her.

“Is something wrong babe?”

“…It’s nothing… I’m just thinking.” smiled the doe eyed beauty weakly.

“You can tell me anything,” the tanned skin male assured, wrapping his well toned arms around the girl.

“I-I know… I-It’s just…. I still feel guilty….”

“A-About?”

“Taeyeon oppa…”

“Lets just forget about him.” coughed Yul.

“B-But.”

“I said forget about it.” said Yul raising his voice. “Lets go out today, some place Eun Mi will enjoy. How about that?”

Backpack in hand, cap covering head, aviators covering his face, Taeyeon walked forward. Eyes scanning the locations, he spotted his two companions. A smile formed on his lips as he walked closer to them .

“Appa! Can we go see the elephants?!” smiled Seohyun widely jumping up and down.

A chuckle escaped Taeyeon’s lips, “Yes sweetie, we’ll see every single animal here.”

“Weally?!”

“Really.”

The four year old left out a squeal and held on to Jessica’s hand. With her other hand she wiggled it into Taeyeon’s hand. A content smile was plastered on all their faces as they continued to walk on.

Animal after animal the three of them smiled and joked at each animal. And at times Taeyeon would imitate animals bringing both Seohyun and Jessica into a laughing fit. The three of them stood in front of the monkey exhibit pointing at each monkey.

Feeling the cool air breeze, the blonde shivered causing Taeyeon to look at her in concern. He could see Jessica jaw chattering. A sigh escaped his lips, he wrapped his arms around Jessica’s shoulder pulling her closer. Jessica felt her cheeks grow warm, Taeyeon’s closeness brought her heart beating erratically.

The blonde looked up at the short haired brunette. The young man gave her a smile and a squeeze making Jessica’s cheek turn a darker shade of pink. With Taeyeon’s arm around her shoulder, she felt safe. She felt something she had never felt before, which was comfort. Comfort from any man’s embrace. She was happy.

Two figures were walking hand in hand, watching a young little girl walk ahead of them. The tall young man stopped abruptly when something had caught his eyes. His companion called for their daughter and faced him. Eye brow raised, the young girl’s eyes followed her boyfriend’s. A gasp escaped her lips, eyes widening. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

“Am I seeing things?”

“N-No… I see it too.”

The tall young man pulled out his iPhone. He held his phone out and started to take snap shots. Anger and fear filled him. Snapshot after snapshot his hand began to tremble. Each click of his iPhone, pictures of his step-cousin, Jessica was wrapped in Taeyeon’s arms.

Questions filled his mind. Since when did Jessica become associated with him? As he continued to stare, his heart grew heavy, guilt was somewhat beginning to sink in. But fear filled him. If Jessica tells everything to his father, he’d be dead meat. Not having the Jung blood in him, the rest of the Jung family would disown him. Being the selfish Kwon he is, he quickly pulls his companion and child out of the zoo. He HAD to do something.

“Thanks again for joining us. I’m pretty sure Seohyun enjoyed your company.” smiled Taeyeon.

“Thanks for inviting me.”

Silence filled the atmosphere. Taeyeon cleared his throat. “I’ll return you, your car Monday.”

“Alright. Just don’t scratch it.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

The two stood in silence while Jessica opened her door. Taeyeon bit his bottom lip over something. As Jessica’s door flung open, and the blonde stepped inside, Taeyeon grabbed the latter’s arm. Confused the blonde turned around. As she turned, a pair of soft lips landed on hers. At first the blonde was caught off guard, but she quickly regained her senses. Eyes slowly closing, Jessica brought her arms around Taeyeon’s neck and pulled him closer. After a minute or so of innocent pecks, the two pulled apart. Both showed a tint of pink on their cheeks.

“I’ll pick you up tomorrow morning.” The brunette smiled as he kissed her forehead.

Jessica nodded before entering her apartment. Closing the door behind her, she leaned against it. Once again her heart was beating at full speed. She clutched her chest and took a deep breathe. This weekend has been the best weekend ever! She bit her bottom lip trying to hold in a squeal.

Getting out of the apartment complex, headed toward the parked BMW, something or someone shoved Taeyeon against the wall. His vision blurred, but soon regained his senses. Eyes opening, he saw a familiar face. Blinking a few times he finally realized who his offender was. Kwon Yul.

“Stay away from her.” Yul said in a stern voice.

“From who?” Taeyeon tried to hold in his anger.

“Stay away from Jessica !” exclaimed Yul shoving Taeyeon against the wall with much more force.

“You can’t tell me who I can talk---”

“If you want to keep her safe you would. Heck, if you want to keep Seohyun safe then you would.” butted Yul.

“W-What’s your problem Yul?”

“You’re my problem. Just stay away from her and no one gets hurt. Got it?” snarled Yul.

Taeyeon sighed in defeat. “As you wish… but please let me at least see her for the last time Monday…”

Yul eased his grip on Taeyeon. A sigh was heard from him. “Fine. Just don’t tell her anything. Now scram.”

Taeyeon nodded and quickly walked to Jessica’s car. Anger filled him, but pushed it outside when Seohyun came to view. As much as Taeyeon didn’t want to stay away from Jessica, her safety and Seohyun’s safety was his number one priority. Quietly getting into the car, he forced himself to smile, for the girl he calls his daughter.
