Moving

Growing Up

"Hyung!"

Hongbin waved back to the other boy as he got off the car. He entered his friend's house and went up to his room. "Woah. Hyukkie, why is your room so empty?"

Sanghyuk's room was bare, nothing in sight but a few boxes and his bed. Hongbin poked his head into the younger boy's closet and found half of the clothing that used to be in there gone too!

"I'm going to move to a new house hyung! I'm super excited!" Hyuk exclaim while jumping up and down on his bed.

"Move? Will it be far away?"

"Hmm I don't know. Maybe I'll go move to the North Pole and I'll get to see Santa Claus and his reindeers!"

Hongbin's eyes widen, North Pole was really far away and he didn't think his family would let him live with Hyuk. "N-North Pole? That's so far away."

Sanghyuk clearly wasn't interested in talking about moving anymore as his attention span was as low as the floor. He took out board games and pulled Hongbin to play with him.

That day, even when they played lots of fun games, Hongbin couldn't help but think about what he'd do when Hyuk was gone, away from him.

- A week later -

Hongbin looked out the window, his face pressed up against the glass. There, right in front of him, was a big white truck similar to one of his toy trucks he had. His eyes lit up in amazement as he had never seen a truck this big before.

Hongbin jumped off the couch and went to his pile of toys he brought from his play room. He search for the truck that looked almost identical to the one outside. Once he found it, Hongbin climbed back up on the couch with the toy and stared at the big truck some for a while before bringing his toy truck up to play with. He continued to play until he heard a rustle behind him. Turning around, he saw his mom crouched down on the ground with a bag, stuffing his toys in, cleaning up the mess he made.

"Mommy! Mommy!" Hongbin called, "Look! There is a truck outside that is really big!"

His mother looked out the window in the direction Hongbin's small fingers pointed. She hummed, agreeing with him, "Yes Binnie, it is big. It seems like someone is finally moving into the house beside us."

Hongbin looked up at his mom, "Moving?" He asked, "Like Hyukkie?"

"Yes Hongbin, like Sanghyuk. I'm sure a family will be moving in so why don't we go say hi and welcome them."

Hongbin smiled in excitement. Maybe if he went and visited the family with his mom, he would be able to go and check out the truck. "Okay mommy!"

"First, let me bake a cake so I could bring it to them and welcome them the proper way."

-

Two hours later, Hongbin was getting ready to go outside. He held onto his mom's right hand and followed her just a few meters down the sidewalk to the other house. As they passed by the truck, Hongbin couldn't help but use his free hand to touch the side of the vehicle. When they both arrived at the front porch, Hongbin's mother gave him the cake to hold. She pressed the doorbell and after a few minutes, the door opened.

"Sangah?"

"Noona?!"

"Sangah, who's at the door?" Mrs. Han walked down the hallway and made her way to the door. "Oh, hi there eonnie! Come in!"

Hongbin's mom walked in with her brows furrowed, "Hold on, I know you said that you were going to move but you didn't tell me that you bought the house beside mine! If you told me, I could've helped you unpack."

Mrs. Han chuckled, "I wanted to surprise you." She then focused on the small being beside her friend and took the box from his hand. "Thank you Hongbin," She gave a smile, "Sanghyuk is in the kitchen if you want to play with him.

Hongbin bowed and easily found his way to the kitchen since the houses in his area were all built alike. He walked into the kitchen to find Hyuk on the ground carefully organizing the cutlery.

"Yah! Hyuk! Why didn't you tell me you were going to move here!"

The boy being called turned around. "Oi, Hongbin-hyung, you're here. I wanted to surprise you so I kept it a secret!"

"Yah!" A slap was given to the younger boy.

"Ah, Ah! Hyung! I'm sorry, stop hitting- AH!"

Hongbin stopped hitting him when he deemed that Hyuk recived his punishment. He crossed his arms on his chest and turned around, back facing the younger boy.

Hyuk managed to catch a glimpse of Hongbin pouting before the older boy's back was to his face. A few seconds passed by before he heard sniffling and saw Hongbin's hand go up to his face before dropping it back down.

"Binnie-hyung, are you crying?"

A lot more sniffles were heard until Hongbin broke out into a sob. Sanghyuk grabbed onto Hongbin's shoulders and turned him around, he lifted his hyung's head and wiped the tears away.

"Hyung why are you crying?"

Hongbin lifted his head up and wiped his tears. "You stupid head! I thought you were going to move to move to the North Pole and I would never see you again!"

Hyuk, although hurt by what Hongbin had just called him, understood becuase if he was in Hongbin's place, he would have done the same. He pulled the crying boy into a hug and comforted him.

"I'm sorry hyung, I won't do it again. But now, we can be together all the time."

He moved back to rest on the wall and grabbed onto the older boy's hand tightly. Hongbin moved his head to lean on Hyuk's shoulders and closed his eyes.

-

Hongbin's mother was getting ready to leave, after helping her friend unpack a few boxes worth of items, when she remembered her son also came along with her. "Ah, Hongbin!"

She went towards the kitchen where she left son disappeared to and found him there sleeping on Sanghyuk. She quietly took out her phone and snapped a few photos of them. They were so cute together and growing up, they were impossible to break apart. Hopefully when they are both older, they will realize that they both love each other dearly and start dating.

Chapter 6: yayyyy an update!! welcome back~~
aww hyukkie is going to be one hell of an actor when he's older, he can produce tears so fast and quickly to get jaehwan to play with him. that is some skills he's got there!! wonder if jaehwan kissing him was an accident... or intentional... we'll never know. kids mind work diff and he prob didn't know (or did he!)
ohhhh drama form binnie and hyukkie! ohhhh, wonder what's going to happen? jealous actions lead to a fight and then they realize their feelings for each other or something?
can't wait for the next update tho!

Chapter 2: OMG THIS IS ADORABLE!!! Although I find it weird that Hongbin even knew what 'love' WAS as a small child...I mean kids that age don't really even understand the concept of kissing and love and all that, especially when it comes to even smaller babies. But who cares this was too cute to resist! Keep up the good work!
