What is the sun without the galaxy?
Alone.
Alone was what Sehun found himself as he sat perched upon the oddly quiet Mystic Bridge looking down at the clear waters gently flowing towards the endless horizon where the setting sun met the calm River Lei. In many ways, Sehun himself was alike to the sun.
Growing up, he had been a shy and quiet child that was hardly ever noticed by the others due to his timid nature but Luhan noticed him.
“Please, Mummy, I don’t want to go to school… I want to stay at home with you. I promise I’ll be good. I’ll be the nicest Sehun and all the other boys will wish their name is Sehun too because of how nice I am! Please—”

Little Sehun looked around in tears and caught the eye of a taller boy grinning at him. He looked only a few years older than Sehun yet he was all by himself going to school unescorted.
“Okay, Mummy. I’ll be a big boy.”
The next time Sehun saw him was at break time. Having been too afraid to approach the other children, Sehun had resorted to hiding under the slide until he had found him. The boy from earlier.
“Hey! Your name is Sehunnie, right?”
“Uh…”
“What do you mean ‘uh’? I’m clearly older than you. Call me ‘hyung’, okay? Luhan hyung.”
Sehun nodded meekly. “Luhannie hyung…”
“Come on, Sehunnie, let’s play!”
As Sehun became older, he grew into an outgoing, energetic young boy with an infectious smile. 'A smile as bright as the sun' is what everyone would say upon being flashed by the boy’s upwardly curved lips. Luhan was always the reason he smiled.
Tap. Tap.
A pre-teen Sehun groaned and dug himself deeper under his blankets.
