PlayPretend Magazine interviewed Park Chanyeol and Byun Baekhyun during promotions for the mini web-series, EXO Next Door.

NB - PlayPretend has a very eccentric way of interviewing for their readers’ pleasure. They pay special attention to the idol’s gestures and interactions. :3

Q: What was your reaction when Chanyeol got the main role in the series?
B: My immediate reaction was to laugh, all the while thinking “Yoda got chosen? What is appealing in him apart from his height anyway?”

C: More like, questioning why I stole the midget’s spotlight. *smirks*
B: *rolls his eyes* Well yes, but then I read through the script and realized that he can’t pull off any of the other characters in it. Unrequited love, nope. Playboy, nope. Bromance like Sehun, nope. Ironically, it was as if he received the leftover one, which happened to be the frustrated-failing-love-finding-protagonist.

Q: Couldn’t he have taken your role?
B: *amused* Do you honestly think that this mass of clumsiness could handle a cool-sassy-best friend?
C: Hey-
B: He cannot. My role was almost molded our of me. It felt too natural to give it away to someone else.

C: Have to agree with that there. His nosiness was almost spot on. Apart from that, Baekhyun’s character was crucial to smoothen the overbearing frustration in my character as well as to the plot.

Q: Was it difficult to approach the camera as an actor?
