YG Building (YG’s Office)

 

 

Teddy enters the office of Yang Hyun Suk, the latter called him last night and said that he needed to talk to him first thing today. When he saw their boss, he’s looking outside the window like he’s in deep thinking

 

“Problem?”Teddy asked as soon as he stops from walking, he saw YG let out a deep sigh then looks at him

 

“Have you talked to the girls?”he asked

 

“Nope, after what happened last night. I think they deserve a break especially Chaerin and Dara.”

 

“Bom called me last night, asking what’s going on and who is that kid..” YG said and pulls out a chair and took a sit

 

“Did you tell her?”Teddy asked, YG shook his head and lean on the chair

 

“I’m in no position to tell her everything Teddy. If she wants to know, she needs to talk to Dara, Jiyong and Chaerin..”

 

“Well what about their comeback? Are you still pursuing it?”

 

“Yes i am..”

 

“After what happened? Don’t you think it’s a bit risky?”

 

“I’ve already set the comeback date, the songs and their promotions and tours..”

 

“But Hyung..”

 

“I’m not after the money Teddy, all i want is to fix the gap between the girls. They’ve been together for five years, five successful years and you saw how close they were..” Teddy thought for second, things has changed between them especially Dara and Chaerin and he admits to himself that it won’t be fixed unless they push them into doing something

 

“What are you planning to do with those two?”Teddy asked him

 

“I don’t know, they just need push but we’re not interfering with their life. I told Bom to call them and meet me at 8 here at my office..” Teddy nods his head while looking at him

 

“I just hope you will melt Dara’s heart this time.. “he said, YG sighs and looks down on his table and said

 

“I hope so Teddy, I do hope so..”

 

 

 

 

 

 

7:45 am (YG’s Lobby)

 

Dara and Jiyong arrives at the building and already saw Minji and Seungri waiting for them. They received a text message from Minji saying that Bom wants to talk to them before the meeting.

 

“Hey Unnie..”Minji said and smiles a little, Dara notice how worried she is, she smiles to let her know  that everything is fine

 

“Where is she?”Dara asked her

 

“She’s at the 3^rd floor, practice room..”

 

“Okay, you two stay here. Meet me at Oppa’s office..”

 

“We’re coming with you. You know that we’re always here for you right Noona?”Seungri said

 

“I know but I wanted to talk to Bom alone..”Dara answered then she looks at Jiyong

 

“I’ll see you later then..”Jiyong said, Dara nods her head and kiss Jiyong’s left cheek

 

“Are you sure you Unnie?” Minji asked her

 

“Yes Minji, now go with Seungri and eat some breakfast. I’ll go find and talk to Bom..”

 

 

 

Meanwhile..

 

Bom is pacing back and forth while waiting for Dara. She’s clueless on what happened last night. She called YG but said that he won’t say anything and if she wanted to know, she needs to asked Dara and Chaerin

 

This is so f**ked up!

 

She took a sit on the bench when she heard the door opens and saw Dara entering the room

 

“Minji said you’re looking for me?”Dara asked her, Bom stands up, approaches Dara and stops a few steps away from her and asked

 

“Why you didn’t tell me Dara?”

 

“Tell you what?”Dara asked her

 

“Damn it! Don’t play dumb with me!”Bom yelled

 

“You know I hate playing games Bom!”Dara yelled back

 

“Why you didn’t tell me that you and Jiyong are living in a same house?!” Dara didn’t answer

 

“I thought you are my friend! I treat you like a sister Dara and yet you kept things like this to me..”Bom added, tears flowing in her eyes

 

“Friend? But where were you when I needed you Bom?”Dara asked her, Bom’s taken aback by the question and furrow her eyebrows

 

“You know that I have some issue with my health and I’m dealing with—“Dara cut her off

 

“There’s your answer! I didn’t bother to tell you because you have your own problems that you need to deal with! I tried to reach out to you but every time I try, I saw how sad and hurt you were because of those accusations they throwing at you and now you’re asking me why I didn’t tell you!!”

 

“Dara..”Bom said

 

“No one know what I really feels. No one dares to understand me! I am Park Sandara, the dorky girl everyone knows and love! I need to be the Dara they know and trying to forget my problems! Trying to numb the pain and hurt I’m feeling inside!!”Dara cries as she walks towards the bench and cries

 

“You are my friend Bom and even if I badly needed you by my side that time, I didn’t bother telling you. I don’t want you to worry about me because that’s the way it should be..” Bom now walks towards her friend, sits beside her and held her hand

 

“I’m sorry for not being there with you Dee..”Bom said, Dara then hugs her friend tight

 

“Don’t be. You taught me how to be strong, you are my protector but I know not all the time you are here to protect me. I need to stand up for myself in order to face my fears, problems I had in my life and thank you for that..” Bom broke the hug and wipe the tears from Dara’s face

 

“I hope you can forgive me..” she said

 

“I already did..”they both smile for a while then Bom remembers something

 

“How long you and Jiyong are together?”she asked, Dara sighs and looks down then stand up and walk her way towards the mirror

 

“Almost 7 months..”Dara answered

 

“And—“Dara cut her off again this time with a nod

 

“How?”Bom asked her

 

“It’a long story. I will tell you one of these days. For now, we need to be at Oppa’s office..”Dara answered

 

“Okay but..”Bom said

 

“But what?”Dara asked her

 

“But what about Chaerin?” Dara stares at her friend for a while, she knows deep inside her that she’s not ready to face her again. She thought 3 years will be enough but it’s not

 

“I don’t have time to think about her anymore. We’re through, we broke up 3 years ago so there’s no more me and Chaerin..”

 

“Just like that Dara? You don’t want to hear her explanations?”

 

“I don’t want to and I don’t need to..”Dara answers

 

 

 

 

AT THE OFFICE

 

Minji and Chaerin are sitting quietly inside the office while waiting for Dara and Bom, YG is busy reading some papers but he keeps on looking at the two secretly hoping that they will talk to each other but they didn’t

 

Aisht! I’m too old for this but what am I going to do with them?

 

“Where did Bom and Dara go, Minji?”he asked her

 

“Oh ah they were uhm buying some coffee for us..”Minji answers

 

“Can you text them again please. I have an appointment at 9 o’clock..”

 

“Sure Oppa, wait..”Minji reach for her pockets but soon realize that she left her phone inside Seungri’s bag

 

‘Damn it!’ she whispers

 

“Problem?”YG asked her as he heard her whisper

 

“I ah left my phone in Seungri-Oppa’s bag..”

 

“Oh I see, Chaerin would you mind texting Dara and tell her that they need to be here now?”YG asked her, Chaerin looks at Minji who is giving her a cold stare

 

“S-sure Oppa..”Chaerin said, she took her phone inside her pocket then type some words but before she could send it, the door opens and the two enters the office

 

“Sorry we’re late..”Bom said and took a sit, she didn’t notice the empty chair beside Chaerin so she sits beside Minji, Dara saw it then sigh

 

I don’t know if she did that on purpose or not!

 

She took a sit on the empty chair beside Chaerin and look straight at YG, the latter then smiles a little at them and starts talking

 

“I know that you guys know why you’re here, right?”he asked, the girls nods their heads except for Dara

 

“Good! Now please hear me out first before you give me your violent reactions, comments and wrath..”he added and looks at Dara, the latter raise one of her eyebrows and lean on the chair

 

“It’s been 3 years since the last time you guys performed as a group and to be honest, until now there are still a lot of Blackjacks hoping for a comeback album..”

 

“Why would they expect such things? We’re not active and that’s a hint that we’re already disbanded”Dara said

 

“Because true fans will always be there waiting for you, Sitting there quietly and waiting patiently. You know how lucky those people who have fans like them?”YG asked, the four feels the guilt, for not informing their fans the true status of their band

 

“I think this is the time to say thank you to them for the old time sakes..”Bom and Minji looks at each other while Dara is still looking straight at their Boss

 

“You know what’s best for the fans Oppa and we’re willing to give them a comeback album..”Chaerin said

 

“Really?”Dara scoff, Bom nudge her elbow at her giving her a warning, YG clears his throats before Chaerin can answer

 

“One more thing, you’ll be recording your songs starting tomorrow, so you’ll be staying here at the building for a while except for you Dara..”Dara nods her head knowing what YG means

 

“Jiyong needs inspiration right now and he needs you by his side..”YG added, Dara didn’t know why she cursed when YG mentions she and Jiyong, she wanted to look at Chaerin but doesn’t have enough courage to do it

 

“You can get the things you need then be back here later in the afternoon. I already notify them to clean your rooms, so i’ll be seeing you three later..”YG said

 

“Okay Oppa, we’ll be here..”Bom answered, YG nods then motions for them that they can go

 

“Oh Dara, can you stay for a minute? I want to talk to you about something?” he said, Dara didn’t said a word so Bom stood up and pulls Minji, she did the same thing with Chaerin who’s looking at Dara that moment. When the three are out of sight, YG looks at his talent and lean on the chair

 

“I need you to do something in order for this comeback to be successful..”he said, Dara furrow her eyebrows with a big question mark on her face

 

“I want you to at least be civil with Chaerin on cam..”he said again

 

“What?”Dara asked

 

“You heard it right..”

 

“You want me to act in front of the camera like we are okay?”YG nods his head

 

“I already said yes to this comeback, I think what you’re asking for me is too much..”Dara added

 

“Then what about your fans?”YG asked her

 

“They won’t suspect a thing. Make it Minji and her then me and Bom..”

 

“That’s not the routine Dee. You know that you are paired with Chaerin..”

 

“Then make it the routine if you want this comeback to continue because I have nothing to do with her anymore..”YG stares for a while at Dara, a lot of thoughts coming into his mind, if he didn’t allow Chaerin and Dara to be together, will they be okay and not acting like strangers?

 

“I don’t have any problems with the other fans but I do have concerns about those Chaera fans..”

 

“What about them?”

 

“Don’t ask me like you don’t know a thing. Among the YG Family, they are the ones who knows about you and her. Even though we kept it from the press and other netizens, those Chaera shippers are damn too good!”YG said, he smiles a little when he remembers how Seungri run towards his office while carrying his laptop just to show how many supporters are there

 

“They won’t notice it..”Dara said but YG just stares at her and she sighs

 

“We can’t fool them, one wrong move and they will notice something. I’m not asking you to let them expect that you guys are okay or still going strong but be civil and hide the anger in your eyes while on cam..”Dara closes her eyes, she knows about the Chaera shippers and how they’ve been spamming and investigating about them. She and Chaerin are thankful for their supporters but they can’t tell them that they are real to keep them safe and for their career

 

“I know i’m asking you too much and you have a lot of commitments aside from these but Dara you only you have 6 tracks on your comeback album and you will release only 3 singles, that won’t take too long..”YG explains again, Dara knows there’s nothing she can do. They owe their fans where they are right now and she and the girls loves them so much

 

“I’ll see what I can do but I’m not going to promise you something..”Dara answered, YG nodded his head twice and smiles

 

“Thanks, now if you don’t have any questions, you may go and thank you Dara..”he said

 

 

 

 

When Bom, Minji and Chaerin left YG’s office, Bom invited Chaerin to have breakfast with them but she refuse. She wants to be alone for a while, with all the surprises and unexpected happenings, her mind is now twirling with confusions. She still needs to figure out how to tell Dara everything even though the latter don’t want to talk to her

 

What am i going to do?

 

She covers her face with both of her hands as she cries silently, the last thing she wants to do is to hurt Dara but no one in the world knows what will happen in the future

 

‘This is my entire fault! I should have let her be with me!’ she whispers

 

She remembers what happened o her in the US. She became a successful, first female kpop idol to debut in US. Her passion for music lead her to success, she owes it to her family and close friends especially Dara who’s been there for her from the start

 

‘Now I made my dreams came true, why does it feel like I’m still incomplete’ it’s been 3 years but she thinks that the wounds are still fresh. She can’t blame Dara if she moved on and found someone else but the thing is, she’s back together with Jiyong. It shattered her heart a million pieces but she can’t be mad at them

 

I want you to take good care of her, she remembers what Jiyong had told her when he found out that Dara and her are together now

 

‘All i want is to give her a better life in the US where they will accept us for who we are. Not like here.’ She wants to stop crying but she can’t. She’s covering her face with both of her hands when she heard a voice

 

“Why are you crying?”Chaerin remove her hands on her face and look at the person standing in front of her

 

“Here you can use this..”the girl said as she saw her extending her arm holding a handkerchief on her hand

 

“T-thanks..”Chaerin replied, the girl smiles at her then Chaerin notice something

 

“Are you—“ when Dara cut her off by saying

 

“Stay away from her!”

“I need a god damn explanation!!”

 

“Explanation?! You want me to give you an explanation?!!”

 

“Yes! Because I have the right to know what happened to you!”

 

“And I don’t have the right to know what’s happening with your life while you’re far away huh?!”

 

“I’m trying to reach out to you to explain my side but you keep on shutting me out!!”

 

“Then maybe it’s time for you to move on, forget about me and treat me as one of your members!”
